Search / Filter option in Find/Replace Font dialog
Here is my problem. On InDesign when you do "Find/Replace font" you can select the missing font and then you can SEARCH and then replace the font. In Illustrator, the same method exists. BUT you cannot SEARCH... Why? Did I miss something?? Do I really have to scroll through the 4000 fonts to get to the one I want?
Could we have the same panel on Illustrator as in InDesign?

Search filter for both the missing fonts and the installed fonts would be really helpful. As well as being able to organize the missing fonts alphabetically...

the find/replace font dialog in illustrator is so frustrating and hasn't gotten attention since it was implemented. The lack of search is infuriating and the TINY size of the dialog is maddening trying to scroll through all the fonts. especially when things are not always exactly Alpha sorted. the fact that clicking on the fonts in system window and typing, only jumps you the first letter is ridiculous. Please enlarge the dialog/allow us to enlarge the fonts window/font size and allow for search!

When doing "Find/Replace" when the source for the replacement font is "System" it would save a ton of time if you could start keying in the font name (with suggestions) like you can when editing fonts on the artboard instead of having to use the slider every time. Example: key in "Goth" would bring up "Gotham".

Why is this feature important?
Knowing where a particular font is activated from (Adobe Fonts, System Folder, Required Fonts folder that gets installed when Illustrator is installed or any other location) really helps.
For example I was pasting text between InDesign and Illustrator and had a missing font warning in Illustrator, but it was not missing in InDesign. I was able to quickly see in InDesign Find/Replace Fonts… that the font was one of the 42 fonts in the Required folder that InDesign installs, but of course Illustrator does not “see” those fonts.

Illustrator’s Find/Replace Font dialog box is rather limited as far as the information it displays compared to InDesign. I really would like to see the additional information (Activated from Adobe Fonts or the path, if activated from a local drive! For example).
