1. Option for anti-aliasing in Outline View

   Please allow us to turn on anti-aliasing in Outline View. It’s a very useful view for path editing, but it can be difficult to assess the fidelity with all the stepping due to anti-aliasing being off. Making it a toggle would be ideal. Many thanks!

2. Update links manually

   Illustrator is constantly reading linked files, checking for changes. This is normally not a problem, but when the network is slow for any reason (like if you're working remotely over VPN) AI becomes unusable. Simple text changes become an ordeal as every time you switch tools or click anywhere, you have to wait for a minute or two as the links do... whatever they're doing. A simple panel-level option to turn off automatic link updates would make working remotely (which some say is the way of the future) much less painful.

5. Ignore Groups and Clipping Masks

   I lost about a Year of My Life double-clicking on objects within a group, inside of clipping masks. A less repetitive and MUCH faster way would be an option to "Ignore Groups and Clipping Masks" (i.e holding some key while clicking).

   The option would temporarily (select-wise) treat grouped and clipped objects as normal objects, allowing direct click on an object through a clipping mask and ignoring groups. An "If you can see it, you can click on it!" approach for instant color and other adjustments.

   This alone would speed up the workflow and, combined with wireframe view, it would be lightning fast.

   If you do consider this, also consider ignoring groups and clipping masks for "Select Similar Objects". I'm working on one object which is a part of a complex group with clipping masks etc, in 64 STATES!! Imagine having to double-click 384 TIMES just to make a single tweak.

6. Remove "Move" limitation from Transform Each & Transform Effect

   When moving items via "Transform Each", objects are limited to moving 55.555". However, when moving objects with Move (Object - Transform - Move), no such limitation exists (Issue is prevalent in V24.0.1, 23 & CS6)
   The same limit exists for Transform Effect.
   My request is for the removal of this limitation to allow for accurate artwork creation.

7. Power Efficiency

   Since I've moved to working remotely entirely, I've noticed how quickly using several Adobe programs burns through my laptop battery. I'm running a brand new 16" Macbook Pro with the latest MacOS Catalina version, and I'm lucky if I get an hour and a half of battery life while running InDesign and Illustrator at the same time. When I review what is using the most battery life, my Mac lists InDesign, Illustrator, and Core Sync as the main culprits.

   Now, I understand that these programs at times are fairly graphically intensive, but the battery life I'm getting is absymal, and I'm not even currently working on artwork that is using a lot of complex effects; we're talking basic shape and stroke icons and simple text and shape layouts.

   Can you please work on optimizing the programs to prevent excessive battery draining? Core Sync in particular is really confusing; what exactly is it doing? I've even paused file syncing, but that hasn't seemed to do anything.

10. Actually Fix Adobe Illustrator

    It sucks how I'll be able to use Adobe Illustrator for a bit on my laptop (MacBook Air 13 inch Retina) then it crashes my entire laptop, it will freeze and my tabs would flicker really bad and at times part of my screen would go black while the other half is glitching, I downloaded the entire Creative Cloud to use for work not to sit around and get frustrated while trouble-shooting all of the problems with this application.

11. The new Adobe 2020 is very unstable !!!

    The new Adobe 2020 is very unstable it can not handle graphics at all. Every time I save it hangs or crashes. Every time I even move an object on my page I get a wheel of death . this upgrade has been most frustrating. to the point where I have added a downgraded 2019 version

    Reduce the amount of memory used. (But keep a nimble performance)
    User thinks that performance improvement is the most important, but please do not correct it so that it will improve by using a lot of memory.

    Recently, memory management has improved, but application crashes due to illegal memory access still occur.
    If the operation speed is slow, I think that work efficiency will be the most degraded.

13. Performance of overprint preview mode and GPU preview mode

    Hi Team,

    Im form a print and packaging industry.

    1. we frequent work in overprint preview mode but when we switch to overprint preview mode we feel death slowness in the illustrator performance and also checking for the seperation preview is also very slow.

    it take minimum of 3 to 8 second to zoom in the artwork

    1. some time in GPU preview mode we see a red strip above the rulers

14. Can you focus updates to really work? Please do proper testing. I'm tired of contacting customer service very month

    I contact customer service at least once a month, and before, when i got the program without online creative suite i never had to contact anyone, it worked amazingly, and now.. literally every update is a nightmare.. please stop doing updates for the sake of doing updates, take the monthly money but make something that we can rely on. not a program that makes my life harder... now i can't open files i used 20 days ago because a plug in, Ai 2019 and 2020 not compatible?     When you want to change from resolution 800×480 to 1024×600, there is a slight difference in pixel dimension to retain circle shaped objects. So idea is that you are able to change pixel dimension and convert some files, instead of drawing new ones. For example-you have a circled object in some .ai file, where you have square pixels. If AI would allow to change pixel shape to rectangular, like 0,14 mm height and 0,15 mm width, or 0,148 mm,..., then it would fasten up things of making same graphic for different screen resolution with tool of pixel dimensions, instead of drawing whole new screen.

17. Illustrator 2020 performance significantly slow/sluggish -

    Sorry, can't recommend upgrade of 2020 to my colleagues. I work for a large Engineering firm and we have powerful computers. We have critical deadlines for Q4-2019 - Upgrading to 2020 will be a big mistake as it will cause delay to our projects and stress to the members .
    Saving files takes too long, copying takes system long to process - pasting is fine. Adding text is ridiculously taking forever and it creates its own textbox size - It feels like going back to AI CS6.

    Suggest to review what you had for AI 2019- this was one of the best versions.

18. multicore useage

    I'm surprised to see that AI doesn't take advantage of multiple-cores. Can we do something about this? Even viewing in wireframe mode doesn't seem to speed things up by much. Or perhaps AI can take better advantage of the GPU??

19. Zoom in Option doesnt work through touch pad

    Hello Team,

    I use microsoft surface book 2 for designing and to zoom in and out from touchpad, i need to hold Alt key and zoom in/out. Please let me know, of there is a option to get rid of alt key and directly use pinch option in touchpad to zoom in/out.

20. New version is very slow

    Very slow this new version.

    Selecting several items and move the canvas by hand is not working on not stable
