perspective grid freezing
hello,
When i try to draw the sidewalk onto the grid the program freezes up and i cant place it where i want1 vote -
Let us toggle rendering by artboard
Everything is sooooooo slow! I know there are a million "tips" on how to speed it up but even with a high-end desktop, complex artwork on multiple boards kills illustrator.

Hello Everyone,
Hello Everyone, I am using Illustrator 25.0.1 version which I updated recently from 25.0, 2021 version. During work I have noticed a small problem in Layers option. First when I copy some artwork from one file which is SPLIT in different LAYERS to another file it does not give me the same SPLIT layers in the new file but put it only in one layer instead.
Second : If I have given a name to some layer of the Artwork suppose Layer A when I paste the same in new file or another file it does not give me the…1 vote -

3D Extrude & Bevel shouldn't have a depth and rotation by default
I think it's annoying that every object that I want to apply a 3d effect to already has a 50 pt extrude depth and axis rotation by default + preview option checked.
Sometimes it takes forever to render the preview for something I don't even want, but the preview is checked by default so it immidiatly starts rendering when I open the effect window.
Would be great to open the Extrude & Bevel window with zeros in every field, saves a lot of time, especially when working with complex objects.3 votes -

Please compile AI for Apple M1, this is ridiculous. Only app on my Mac that is not native.

Illustrator 2021 is constantly crashing, resulting in my not being able to use it.
stop it from crashing. Whatever you did with the 2021 version, reverse it. It's worse than useless. I cannot get any production.

Please add support for AMD Radeon Pro 5700
I have a new iMac 27" 2020 and just learned, to my disappointment, that my graphics card is not supported. I have an AMD Radeon Pro 5700, I think the standard for the new iMac is a Radeon Pro 5500 XT (which is also not supported).
This causes Illustrator to crash at least once or twice a day with a GPU Error report and it then automatically deactivates GPU Performance, which makes Illustrator super slow and laggy.
I know the iMac 2020 is very new, but since more people will be getting it over time it seems reasonable to support…4 votes -
Illustrator 2021 Won't Open
Every time I try to open AI/2021 the icon just bounced and the App Panel just hangs and nothing happens. I'm using a 2017 version of the 2013 desktop, with plenty of RAM, all my other apps work except this - any tips boffins?

Allineamento ad oggetto bloccati
Buonasera,
migliorare la potenzialità di illustrator per quanto riguarda allineare oggetti su oggetti bloccati sarebbe fantastico e performante.
Nell'ambito del mio lavoro usiamo fustelle predefinite.
l'idea sarebbe poter selezionare l'oggetto bloccato sulla tavola disegno o livello template e agganciate/allineare all'oggetto un altro oggetto.
Questo permetterebbe un allineamento veloce e sicuro.
Provo a spiegarlo con l'esempio.L'ideale sarebbe inserire nel pannello "allinea oggetti"
lo strumento allinea a centroQuesto permetterebbe la possibilità con un solo click l'allineamento all'oggetto bloccato

Little display problem with GPU enabled
Hi, I bought an Imac 27" with 5K Retina display.
I noticed that when I zoom some vector shape, the lines are not too clean. They seem like bitmapped. When I click Command+Y (show outlines) and I click it again, the lines appear clean. I uploaded a little video about my problem.
I wrote in Adobe community, they suggested me to turn off GPU Performance. If i do that the images appears fine but Illustrator become too slow.
So they recommended me to report my issue here.

Name Change Improvement
Dear Adobe, upon using the software for some years now I have got the impression of the software being related to illness, us being ill and traitor (although spelt a bit differently). So it's like 'ill' 'us' 'trator'.
I know it might sound quite out there but there could be some reasoning to it. I for one have experienced some illness since using it (not to say the program is at fault) and an impression gets made and then I'm more cautious to use the program. MAJOR PROBLEMS!! Cache/Scratch NOT assigning to my selected Drives
No matter how many times I un-install and re-install Illustrator, the program WILL NOT ACCEPT when I select a destination to my specific and dedicated Cache/Scratch SSD. I have a permanent studio setup with the latest MacBook Pro 64GB of RAM.. Everything was custom built the best it could be in April of 2020. The second I open Adobe Illustrator, my Available RAM goes from around 55GB to 124MB?!!!!!!! I know it's a RAM heavy program but that is insanity. Nothing is that heavy or works like that. Auto back up does not work and it should. Everything is set correctly and I use Jing - however it's set as once an hour for a back up
File back up for crashes needs to work as per the settings. If it set to back up every 2 mins - then where are the files? They don't seem to exist - not like In Design where my last file is brought back.

Keyboard shortcut for Asset Export
Please allow an assignable keyboard shortcut for the action of dragging something to the asset export panel. Once dragged the focus should immediately change to the asset name.
