Inertia scrolling aka "flick panning"
Scrolling around artboards should adhere to the OS standards of having some momentum to scrolling, or at least the option to enable "flick panning" like Ps
7 votesBeta 29.1.0.93 now has Flick Pan option, enabled by default, located in Preferences > Performance.
At the moment it works only for trackpad and Hand tool, not for middle-mouse pan or Spacebar pan.
Please try it and comment back.

A hotkey or a mode to prioritize selected objects
Add an option or some kind of a hotkey to block/freeze "not selected objects", so when you are working with a selection you don't have to worry about selecting/moving/deleting/editing other objects by mistake.
Also very helpful when you are selecting those tiny anchor points.
For 2017 Christmas please ;-)
Thanks,

Do not select both the clipping mask and the clipped contents with Select All while in isolation
When we isolate a clipping group, it’s like we are jumping in a whole in a canvas and start dealing with what’s behind it. Whatever we move while inside isolated, would be visible through the hole.
So when we say Select All while being isolated, we usually don’t mean 'Select the stuff behind the hole and the hole itself' — it’s about clipped content only. Otherwise why isolate in the first place?
Select contents only first and and the clipping mask to the selection only when Select All is called again, if the clipped content is fully selected already. Display…

Select similar colors (with a tolerance slider) so you can round up and streamline elements in a messy document
This is basically a tolerance slider added to Select>Same>Fill Color. It would just allow you to cast a wider net to quickly select colors and convert them to a single global color. It's very hard to track down a color that's 1% off from the others in a complex file otherwise. It could also help process multi-color graphics into a limited color palette more efficiently

Select Same / Position on artboard
An option that can be added on the Select Same menu that could be useful for selecting elements that hold the same position on each artboard. Could be useful for page numbers, titles, logos, watermarks etc.

Select > Object > Dimension
It’s quite easy to accidentally convert a live dimension object into a dead group (reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47739104)
When it happens, there is no way to tell if a dimension is live or dead but to try and select it, or view in Layers, selectin them one by one.
What we need (even if the bug above get fixed) is an ability to select all the dimensions at once.
The powerful and free Select Menu plugin (https://rj-graffix.com/downloads/plugins/#selectmenu) doesn’t have this item yet as well.

Inverse Point Selection
Please add Select > Inverse for nodes (points) on the path. E.g. in isolation mode. This sometimes speeds up the time.

A key to reverse "object selection by path only" while using selection tools.
Mostly I like to work with this setting off but there are times when it would really be nice to turn it on by holding down a key while clicking in the middle of a path.
I don't know what key to suggest, command swaps selection for direct selection (and vice-versa), alt widens the selection of the direct selection tool and does nothing for selection, shift adds to/subtracts fom the selection. Maybe `?

Make it possible to select objects using a path.
It would be very useful to be able select individual objects in a document using a path which touches each of those objects or lies entirely within the path, or both, with each option being selectable by the user.

Select an anchor point, select another further along the path, and easily select all anchor points in between.

Split 'Select and Unlock objects on canvas' into two options: Unlock Widgets and Allow to Select Locked Objects
There is a 'Select and Unlock objects on canvas' option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section, which allows to display small unlock widgets for the locked objects we can click to unlock (this is fairly similar to what InDesign has).
It also allows us to 'select' several locked objects or unlock them all or only some of them, using a context menu (this is something InDesign does NOT have!)
(I put this in quotes because no real selection happens — the objects don’t get marked with the square selection markers in Layers panel and Locate command does nothing).

Add Enclosed mode for Lasso tool (for full objects)
建议增强或调整“E选择模式”。
目前的“E选择模式”非常棒,但是当选择复杂背景上的对象时存在不足。
选择工具(V):“E选择模式”是在拖动后触发,拖动就会移动点击对象,可以考虑调整为鼠标按下时,按下“E键”进入选择模式(不选择点击对象,只选择选框内的对象),原因是选择工具无法在非锁定的对象上拖动选择(锁定复杂背景也不是一件容易的事情),只能把选择工具移动到背景外再拖动选择,这会增加选择范围,有时候会把不需要选择的对象选中;
另外,可以考虑套索工具增加“E选择模式”,因为套索工具可以在任意对象上拖动选择。4 votes -
Locked Object as Key Object
It would be very helpful to have the option to enable a locked object to be selected as a key object. I would make aligning object workflows to be slightly more efficient.

Increase selection tolerance
The selection tolerance maximum is 8px. My laptop has a 4k screen making 8px less than 1/64 of an inch. It's almost impossible for me to select lines in Illustrator with this small of a tolerance.

make select all artwork on layer, selecting different layers, etc actionable things
I do a lot of repetitive artwork when designing things for laser cutters where I could really benefit from actions. I have a ton of them set up for photoshop which can turn a 5 minute process into a 5 second one because when you select a layer or part, photoshop writes that you selected "layer 0" or whatever the name is. Illustrator is not the same way. If I have 8 layers and they are all named 1 - 8 and I select artwork from layer 1, copy it, select layer 8, and paste in place I can do…

How to select non filled shapes just by clicking on their surface?
How can I select a shape/object without a fill just by clicking on its surface?
I don't want to click on the stroke, since that's slower and less practical than clicking on the middle of the shape, I don't want to click on layers nor any slower way to do it.If what I want is not possible, then that would be a very clear sign that Adobe is very, VERY stubborn against selecting by clicking on the middle of the shapes, for no reason at all, since there's no problem in putting an option for it on the settings…

An option to select only points in paths with a hotkey, lines are ignored
In a sea of lines and points an option to select only points could be a solution for more speedy and accurately selecting what you want.
Let's say I have a lot of lines next to some points you want to select, wouldn't it be cool to hold a hotkey and dragging across the screen even over the lines and just selecting the points you wanted, not the lines?
Selecting only lines, not the points could also have benefits, although I havent had the need yet.

Select all objects in view
It should be possible to select all objects that are in view (the selection excludes locked objects).
This is a very useful time-saver in many other applications.3 votes -
A preference to not select objects by center point
I do not want to select objects by their center point. I never do. I do not want to have to change this setting in the Attributes panel every. single. time. I want to disable object selection by center point.
