プルダウンメニュー
このサイトも同様の仕様ですが、プルダウンメニューが背景と文字の濃度が差悪く、視認性が酷い。photoshopなどは問題ない!イラストレーターのみ見にくい!迅速に対応ください。
2 votesThe problem got solved with toggling the 'Reduce transparency' option.

1 voteThere’s no automated condition Illustrator follows for this, we decide ourselves when to turn these off.
We can hide these hints by disabling the Show Rich Tool Tips option in the Preferences > General.

Is there a way to turn off the "Help Toolbar" (grey bar with "?") at the bottom of the screen?
Can this be a Preference to be turned off if not needed? It eats into valuable real estate at the bottom. I used to be able to view an 8.5 x 11 document @100% on my 27" iMac. Now I have to reduce it down to fit.
2 votesWe can hide it with Window > Help Bar command, the same way we choose the other panels to show or hide

Make the font selection panel less intrusive by making it editable and moveable
The font selection panel currently takes up a large portion of the center screen, making it difficult to see the font changes on a large scale. It would be nice if the panel could be editable and moveable, like other panels on Illustrator. Also, it could be positioned on the right side of the screen by default and made slightly transparent, to see through.
1 voteIllustrator has a dedicated panel you can open via Window > Type > Character.

Toggle Artwork Visibility Outside of Artboard
The function of the w key in InDesign switches between preview and normal view. Why doesn't Illustrator have this functionality? It would be so useful as I usually prefer to use Illustrator when I'm initially laying things out for a design project. I've seen multiple requests for this functionality in the forums. Please please please add this!
3 votesView > Trim View command does this. By default, it does not have a hotkey assigned to it, but you can map it to the one you prefer in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Get rid of prompt window
i would love to be able to hide/get rid of that prompt window that says "generate, edit path, repeat, group, lock.." that pops up. its pretty annoying.
5 votesYou can disable this panel via Window > Contextual Task Bar menu command.
The current Beta 28.5.0.34 has a bug though, that enables it back after Ai is relaunched. If you are using normal build, it should just work.

Colour Book/Pantone Swatches to remain in Custom Workspaces
Hi - is there a way to have custom colour books/Pantone swatches to save in a custom Workspace? I have to keep adding them again each time I restart Illustrator, and it's a bit of a pain! Thanks!
1 voteSwatch libraries can be made persistent via their panel’s menu. Look into comments for details.

Nix the Stupid Blue Share Button
Get rid of the stupid giant blue "Share" button in the toolbar. It's very distracting because it looks like I constantly have a notification. And I will never use it. We've been all through this with Acrobat already!
33 votesAs per the comment, go to 'Preferences > User Interface > Share Button' and select 'Match Brightness' — it will no longer appear blue.
To achieve the same in Photoshop, try toggling 'Neutral Color Mode' in 'Preferences > Interface'.
If you still wish to just have it gone for good — please upvote this separate request.

Bring back menu highlighting feature in 'HELP' menu
Please bring back menu highlighting feature for Illustrator and Photoshop! In previous versions, you could type a word in the HELP dropdown (i.e. "offset path in Ai"), and the menu where the item is located would drop down and highlight the item. This is very useful because designers sometimes remember the name of a feature, but not where it is located. Also for learning it is very useful.
2 votesDiscover panel now highlights the location for all commands you search for with it. Call it with Help > Illustrator Help or with F1 hotkey.

Movie Clip symbol?
When a Symbol is created, it defaults to 'Movie Clip'.
Is that a legacy from the Flash era?1 voteAs per the comment, it is still used in Animate.

ペンツールのカーソルについて
ペンツールのカーソルが大きすぎて、使いづらいと感じています。
カーソルを自由に選べるようにならないでしょうか…?
(CS5のカーソルが使いやすかったです)1 voteCan be changed in Preferences > General > Use Precise cursors.
Also it can be easily switched on the fly with a press of Caps Lock — and this is the common reason for it to change. -
Keyboard shortcut to invoke the search box under the Help menu
I swear there used to be a keyboard shortcut to do this. Given the relative complexity of Illustrator, I rely on search to locate less frequently performed actions. I currently navigate by mouse up to the Help menu (which automatically gives the Search field focus), where I type in the first few characters of the action I wish to perform (results are refined as I type in more characters); this way, I can simply select the action I want right from the Help menu. It would be great if I could forego the mouse entirely and invoke that Help menu…
1 voteYou definitely can assign a hotkey for Discover, using Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, in Menu Commands.
The problem though it’s named as 'Illustrator Help' there, not 'Discover'. By default it uses F1.

Select all the value at once
Is it possible when clicking on a value such the shape, dimensions or text height etc. to select all the value so it can be replaced faster. Right now I have to delete the values number by number or select all with Ctrl-A then delete.
It would be appreciated if you have the option to select all when clicking on it.
It will save a lot of time.
Thank you1 vote -
Unlock individual items
Please add the ability to unlock individual items (instead of having to unlock all, then relock all but the one you need). We've been working around this for years, so when I noticed it was available in XD, I thought I'd ask for it to available in Illustrator
2 votesIllustrator allows to unlock individual objects on canvas, if you enable 'Select and Unlock object on Canvas' option in Preferences, Selection & Anchor Display section.
Also, you can right click on the spot that has your locked object, choose Unlock and then this item by its name, without enabling that option.

Actions Panel
The Actions Panel in Photoshop is great. Any chance Actions Panels can be added to other programs?
1 voteIllustrator for Desktop has Actions panel. If you meant iPad — please refer to the iPad section of these forums.

MAKE. THE. HANDLER. BIGGER
make that tiny little ANCHOR and HANDLER bigger. I'm tired of failing to click that tiny rectangle every single second. PLEASE. I BEG YOU
1 voteThe size of handles can be changed in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, using the Size slider.
As for the selection tolerance for these — the problem with it is known and reported in a separate bug report: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/20358952-selection-tolerance-for-selecting-handles
Please vote if you want to get it fixed.
