Edit Character properties in a mixed selection
When having a complex set of objects selected, including one ore more Text Objects, it would be nice to have access to the Character/Paragraph properties.
Current version simply ignores any changes when something else is selected besides a Text Object.

Ability to set line width based on the angle of the line
I'd like to be able to set the line width based on the angle of the line, so if the line width is 10 pt on horizontal lines, and you set it so it's 90% of that on vertical lines, it automatically sets it to 95% on 45 degree lines etc.
In the example image you'd just have to draw a circle, set it to a 10 pt line and then set the thickest point (vertical) to 400% of the thinnest part (the horizontal).

1 voteThis effect can be achieved with Calligraphy brushes. Set one up in Brushes panel, use angle 0, change the size to be the thickest weight you want, and use the roundness value to change it at thinner horizontal parts. If you want 4x difference, set it to 25% of the set size. Done — apply it to any path you want.

Some computers cannot successfully output SVG files
Unable to output SVG in the format of a style attribute. May be the reason for incompatibility with the system

Guides opacity
Sometimes it’s too hard to see through thin lines in my art work. Opacity does not work on guides, so most of the times I don't get to see what is behind a guide. If you enable guides to work with opacity then it will be much easier to see what’s behind guide lines. Thanks

keyboard unable to type words when running
Once I run the Illustator, my keyboard unable to type words, and the mouse arrow keeps running the loading icon. I uninstall the version of 23.0.6 and installed 23.0.5, now it looks fine.

More easily work with text
It would be great if like in PS we could select multiple text layers and apply changes to them at once. Like changing the font size or type, rather than having to go layer by painstaking layer :) What takes seconds in PS could take me HOURS in Illustrator :(

Student Subscription for Individual Apps
There should be a student subscription for individual apps.
I only need illustrator, but $20 a month for one app is still overwhelming for a student, especially since I don’t get paid for the work I do on the app. It wouldn’t make sense to spend so much on the Creative Cloud just to use one app. 60% off, like Creative Cloud, would be much appreciated, but even 40-50% would do.

Allow auto update scheduling
The auto update feature is nice, but it might become a bit of a hassle as you need to close the apps to update.
I would propose to have a drop down option to allow the Adobe CC suite to
Download the updates on the background and then ask when to install, thus not getting in the way of on going work
More importantly, allow an scheduling of said background download, so it can be downloaded during the least network stressed time of the day.

Syncable Color Swatch/Palette Library
it would be nice to have one library with different categories.. you update it once and see it in every illustrator file!

Exclude single object or layer from moving with artboard
It would be great to exclude a layer or single object even with "move locked and hidden artwork with artboard" enabled. This allows for a more flexible approach when dragging artboards with and without artwork.

Please add a user preference to turn off "font cycling." There are times this simply isn't needed.

Include all Live Corners dialog options in Properties panel
The Live Corners dialog button on the Control bar is the only way to precisely adjust the radius, rounding, and corner type of multiple corners in a non-rectangular object. I see no reason why these settings shouldn’t be included in the Properties panel.
This functionality can’t even be accessed via the menu bar or a keyboard shortcut.
Keeping the top control bar open (which is no longer even activated by default in the Essentials workspace) for just that one button is a waste of space, since just about everything else displayed in the Control bar is now displayed in the…

Change the opacity of a layer or directly in the tool
Hello, it would be nice if you could change the opacity of a layer without a mask. I like to draw the shadows with the Blob Tool and have to reduce the opacity of each path after each step. It would be easier if each path automatically had a previously set opacity. Alternatively, you could make this setting in the options of the tool itself. Thank you

Image Brush further development
Some years back, Adobe introduced Image brushes to Illustrator. The implementation was uncharacteristically shallow for Adobe who usually adds plenty of functionality and flexibility to any tool, which is great. Well, the images brushes were introduced, and I suppose abandoned and never looked at again. I think Adobe needs to revisit image brushes and add a lot more functionality. The best image brush implementation I've found so far in any software was in Serif's discontinued software called DrawPlus. That's what Adobe needs to shoot for, at least. Think about this.
