Duplicate artboard hotkey
It should be possible to duplicate artworks not only with Alt + Drag but with a button in the artboard options aswell - just replace it with the text that says "Press Alt + Drag Cursor to duplicate artboard" and keep the Hotkey function.

Deleting Artboard with a button next to its name
Can you add back the little cross/close button (we used to have in CC2017) to the artboard so that I can delete the artboards without visiting the artboard pannal?

Margins!
I would love a margin option! I always use rulers to set up margins but it'd be great to have margins in the document setup settings.

Show all tabs when switching to fullscreen mode
When switching to Full Screen Mode I can only see the document I'm working with. Why not show all the open documents like tabs?
I don't understand why the tabs disappear just because I'm switching to fullscreen.

Add features to the Rearrange Artboards dialog
I create a lot of new artboards ( 1 for each screen I am designing). Since Illustrator always puts new artboards at the right of the current top row on the workspace (regardless of the order specified for rearranging artboards), I often have to use the Rearrange Artboards command to make more space for the next artboard. The more artboards in the file, the more often I have to rearrange artboards.
It would be great if I could tell Illustrator to:
1.) Add new artboards at the location indicated by following the layout pattern in the Rearrange Artboards dialog, with…

Properties Panel Lack of alignment on single object
Hello the new properties panel is good however if you select a single object there is no option to align that object, if you select more than one it comes up...
THis would be very handy on a single object

Thanks for this feedback. This has been avialble since June 2020 release (version 24.2). Further, when you’ll select a single object/group, Align To setting will default to Align To Artboard.

【要望】ファイルを開いたときにサブレイヤーを展開しないようにしてもらいたいです。Please not expand sublayer each time I open file.
レイヤーをスッキリ見せるためにサブレイヤーを使用しています。
しかし、ファイルを開くたびにサブレイヤーが展開され、逆にごちゃごちゃ見えてしまいます。
展開しないよう、改善してもらえたら嬉しいです。I am using a sublayer to make the layer look simple&clean.
However, every time I open a file, the sublayer expands and conversely looks messy.

Making a light prezi like presentation mode inside adobe illustrator by defining views and a presentation view panel
Please add a presentation mode functionality, something like prezi or focusky like animations between views inside illustrator itself.
The user should have ability to define views inside art boards. Each view consists of scale, rotations and position like prezi, on every slide change the view changes animatingly between the views.
For now I use Shift + page down and page up to switch between artboards. But not inside an artboard and not with animations. I push f twice and enter full screen and its cool. But there can be a lite presentation mode managed by a small panel, containing views,…2 votes -
Set location of new artboard
Bring back the ability to click to set the location of a new artboard. With 2018, I have to find wherever a new artboard appears and move it to where I want it.
In 2017 and prior, I'd just click to make a new artboard where I wanted it.

To be able to make Illustrator a 3D drawing software as well.
I want to be able to have a 3D view of the artwork, because illustrator is based on paths I thought rather that it would be cool to navigate it in 3D.

Arrange all artboards reference point
I don't understand which is the starting point of the arrange all artboards, I thought it was the 0 (zero) of the global rulers, but after the arrange all commands the top left artboard is not align with the rulers.
Is there any answer to this or is it a bug?

Introducing Column feature for the Artboards panel
Having columns in the artboards will be great, Now, If we have more than 50 artboards, We spend a lot of time scrolling up and down just to replace artboards.

データの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなった。
macユーザーです。イラストレーターCC2018 にアップグレードしたところ、今までデータファイルの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなりました。お客様とのやりとりでバージョンをお客様それぞれに合わせてダウングレードしていたので、簡易的に確認ができないと不便です。他に同様のアプローチができるようになっていたら教えていただきたいです。

Recolor multiple layers panel layers at the same time
In Photoshop, you can select multiple layers, and add a color marker at the same time to all of them. I often use the colors of layers in Illustrator for UI and packaging design to separate visually which layers are finished (green), and which ones I still need to work on (red). But I have to double click each layer one by one in order to change the color.
8 votesYep, there is a way to change the color of edges for a selection of layers — 'Options for Selection' command in the Layers panel’s flyout menu.
But perhaps the original poster meant colored backgrounds to mark layers? Like Photoshop allows to and like we can do with actions in button mode?
If yes — please make a separate request about this.

Ability to Copy&Pastle "Color Groups" in "Recolor artwork" to another document
In one document I have create created some Color Groups for recolor my artwork. Now I want to copy them into another document.
It's not possible to do currently. But it's so simple to implement!

Slug
As part of my daily workflow, all my art has to have a slug, when i put all the information about the file, date, time, user, CMYK and spot colors used, company logo, etc.
Editable and complete slug option will be appreciated, see attached an example of my manual slug, i use in conjunction with a plugin which puts date time, the user, etc automatically, but i don't like plugins, I want part of the Adobe illustrator Software.
