Had to do a screen recording to figure out what was happening! It's way too easy to drag a tool into a new position. My solution is to use keyboard shortcuts more (probably not a bad thing anyway). But it needs a way to lock it.

I'm having to reset the toolbar about every 10 minutes >:(

This is absolutely a necessity. It's a new feature that has probably cost me 10 minutes of worktime searching for tools and resetting the toolbar in the last 3 hours. If all of us are having this issue, it's clearly not an issue of being clumsy.

I'm obviously quite clumsy selecting tools, as I manage to rearrange or remove a tool almost every-time I select a new one. Frustrating and time consuming to keep resetting!

I agree, that would be very useful.

This has been the worst addition to ILL CC 2019. I'm thinking of going back a version because this is so frustrating.

YES! This new custom tool palette is a nightmare for workflow. Tools are constantly moving and disappearing into other tool folders. I absolutely hate it. I would love to set my palette the way I want and then have it lock in place.

Collapse "Toolbar" and save new workspace, restarting Ai, the "Toolbar" automatically expands! If detach "Toolbar" from left side it works! but when snap and attach "Toolbar" to left side and save workspace, after restart "Toolbar" expands automatically.

Having a lot of trouble with the new changeable toolbar. The tools are constantly moving around and I have to reset every few minutes. This can be quite frustrating when I'm using the program for hours everyday. A toolbar lock is highly recommended, and needed.

So irritating!! My tools keep changing formation and I loose the tools i need because you are unable to lock the toolbar!

The editable toolbar is a good idea but very frustrating when icons don't stay where you put them.
A toggle between editable and locked down modes is essential!

Customizable toolbar, tools move randomly. (Shift order moving inside the tool area)

For example, the direct selection tool will be in the top left, then it will move to the middle, bottom and all over the place inside the tool panel.

Tools need to be locked into place once I've created a managed toolbar.

I've created a managed toolbar (and used basic and advanced toolbars) and the tools keep shifting and moving around inside of the bar at random.

I'm on Adobe Illustrator CC 2019, just downloaded 10/15/2018.

I've got a brand new iMac (less than a month old) on high sierra version 10.13.6.

This problem did not happen till I downloaded the new version of illustrator on 10/15/2018

I've created and trashed toolbars, restarted the program and computer and it's still a problem.

These tools inside the toolbar need to stop moving around.

The tool pallets tools continually move around.

For example one second the Selection too will be in the top right corner, then it'll be buried within the Type Tools, then it'll move under Lasso Tool. See example.

Ability to lock toolbars in place at the edge of the main window so that they move with the main window and I don't have to rearrange them all when I move the window to look at something else on screen. I know I can restore them all by resetting the workspace, but this is a real pain. This is not a new request, but I don't know why Adobe refuses to do anything about it.

I need the ability to lock down a Custom Tool Panel.

I'm wondering why I'm unable to lock the tools I carefully selected in a Custom Tool Panel. I need the Tools locked without being able to (accidentall) drag them out and add them in all over again.
