After I drop an asset from the library in a document, I want to be able to unlink it, and remove dependencies to an external library.
In my case, I'm using library to build products that I'm selling, so when I export the products for sale, I need to remove the dependencies to these libraries.
Any designer who sell his products, or share with people external to a team, would have the same need.
We need to keep the flexibility of using a library (to update changes through multiple documents), but we need to make these documents self sufficient.2 votes
Dragging a graphic into Libraries and then using it in After effects is great BUT if when you dragged it into AE the named layers remained in tact it would be very useful.
Also nested Illustrator files (in an illustrator document) could open up in after effects as comps that you drill into to access layers. It would save a lot of set up time. Thanks :-)2 votes
The more I use libraries, the more I like it! However, instead of creating a "virtual" library of duplicated files, maybe store/use the ACTUAL original file so as to reduce loads of duplicated files, confusion as to the "latest" version(s) created and a crazy file naming system.
Right now this is what it does:
Actual Original File: SSRLogoRGB.ai
Clicking on "Edit Original" in any Adobe program: SSRLogoRGB_cf14017d-6564-4298-9f8f-d800bd2b4a91.ai1 vote
The process to synchronize files on the Creative Cloud is not practical for small bandwidths.
It is painful to sometimes wait several hours for file synchronization on the CC
I would like to choose among several files the one that I would like to synchronize in priority.
Transfert de fichiers via CC trop long !!
Currently Libraries only allow for a max of 5 color swatches to be added as a group. My team and I share colors frequently through Libraries, and because we use more than 5 colors on a project we have to make multiple Libraries per color scheme. It would be way better and easier to organize projects if color groups were expanded to at least 10 or 15 colors. Then we could have one library per project with multiple color schemes.1 vote
Save basic layer structure with the option to link a layout
Example: Layer name 'Varnish', fill color 'gray', line thickness '1pt'1 vote
When relinking content to CC libraries, using the library search box makes the Relink button disappear.1 vote
when using Libraries, the elements placed from a library are linked by default to the library, this could pose a problem when the source is edited.
it would be great if the libraries worked like git hub and integrated a versioning system to allow for variations on a theme / symbol
right clicking on an item in the library could offer the ability to view history and this would open a github like page.1 vote
When you're dragging an Illustrator asset in a CC Library, the asset is placed in a default New Document Profile which come with Default document Libraries such as Swatches, Symbols, Graphic Styles and Brushes.
In my screenshot example the file size of simple shapes is 355 ko in place of 74 ko without these unused assets.
It will be great to base the CC Libraries Vector Assets creation on an "empty of default assets" Document Profiles (RVG, CMYK…).
Thanks for the great work the Team is doing!1 vote
Need the option to view smaller thumbnail size swatches/icons in Libraries. There's too much scrolling to reach the end of the palette. Thanks.1 vote
The stroke or fill color does not change when selecting a CC Library color while no object is selected. The workaround is to select an item, or draw and item and keep it selected, then change color in CC Library. The stroke or fill is updated.1 vote
how about making uninstalling this app normal like the rest of the software builders? You guys made a 5 minutes uninstall a ******** 2 hour task for me forcing to update creative cloud, creating an account so I can login to remove illustrator. I remember this next time I decide to download an adobe software.1 vote
When relinking an asset in CC Library, you are not able to use the search box. Please make this possible!1 vote
Creating CutContour swatch and Color Process colors (because Pantone+ colors are not available) lose their values once saved to CC libraries.1 vote
Can add a button to swatch to easy import from adobe.color.com, something like importing font from TK1 vote
I think it would be really nice if you could select multiple shapes and add their separate fills into a CC Library. Helpful when making color palettes and things.1 vote
Objects dragged from a CC library as linked give sometimes a wrong preview.
Switching to CPU preview or dragging an embedded copy can solve it .

I usually use graphics from Libraries and Symbols to sharing icons, logotypes, and e.t.c. I would like to lock size ratio to these graphics.

Currently if you organise AI. iles into project folders within your local CC folder, these subfolders aren't visible when opening in AI. Libraries offers the ability to categorise assets / files into project folders that are visible making it super easy to find specific files. I know there is a search feature but, with hundreds of assets, being able to have multi level folder structure visible when opening AI files from local CC folder would be awesome.1 vote
Adding a search tool in my library panel would be helpful, thank you.1 vote
There is a Search bar in Libraries, which searches from Adobe Stock by default, and there is a dropdown where you can choose whether to search through current/all libraries.
