MAKE. THE. HANDLER. BIGGER
make that tiny little ANCHOR and HANDLER bigger. I'm tired of failing to click that tiny rectangle every single second. PLEASE. I BEG YOU
1 voteThe size of handles can be changed in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, using the Size slider.
As for the selection tolerance for these — the problem with it is known and reported in a separate bug report: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/20358952-selection-tolerance-for-selecting-handles
Please vote if you want to get it fixed.

Please give the option to keep Libraries palette open when you close all of your documents. I often start work with an asset in my library.
Please give us the option to keep the libraries palette open when all documents are closed. I often start work with items in my library and it is annoying to have to reopen the palette when I close the project I just finished and am ready to start a new one.

Is it possible to get a preview screen of your document when you look at your recently opened documents
I always really like the previews when you open illustrator. Once you opened one document you can not look at the previews anymore, because you have to select a recently opened document via the file menu. This means you have to rely on your names, which can get confusing when you have multiple version of one document.

The features I am looking for
*subject tracing like Photoshop and masking like Photoshop and bring it to illustrator.
*add more brush tools like Photoshop

Preferences for layers panel
Obviously there are a lot of ideas and requests for the layers panel because everyone wants to customize it for their own uses. Adding a bunch of options in the preferences panel would be better than a lot of "permanent" changes.
I don't like the fact that every element is on a separate layer at all, for my projects it is not necessary. In InDesign I get to choose what elements are on which layer - that would be sooooooo nice in Illustrator

Hello!
When right-click > Rotate, It would be very handly to have the angle field already selected to just insert the value, or to have it selected when you press Tab first time (now you need to press Tab 4 times in order to have the value field selected).

Allow difference keyboard increments for up/down and left/right arrow keys.
Please let us define separate increment values for each arrow key, or at least up/down and left/right.

give users the option to copy layers, and NOT have them renamed.
currently, Character Animator REQUIRES multiple layer hierarchies that use the exact same naming convention.
When I duplicate a perfectly good Layer Hierarchy, every damned single layer in it, Gets renamed. This creates Hours of tedious work for me that is incredibly stupid.
I want a set of options in the preferences to dictate exactly how Illustrator behaves when it duplicates a Layer/Layer Hierarchy.
I want to be able to change the string used.
I want to be able to set it to use a numbering system (number, step, padding)
I want to be able to turn it the **** off.…

BE ABLE TO DRAG CC LIBRARY ITEMS DIRECTLY TO ASSET EXPORT PANE
I've just finished dragging 24 logo variations to the CC libraries pane and named each individually.
Now I want to export each of these in various formats, but I can't drag directly from the CC Libraries pane to the Asset Export pane.
Instead, I have to rename every single one manually when dragging all 24 into the asset export pane.
What a pane!

Please add a drop-down feature for font families, that allows all families to collapse and lock in the drop-down position.
Can you please create a system preference in which I am able to collapse all font families at once, and will lock them in the drop-down position?
It is very hard to scroll through the typefaces and collapse families individually, one by one.1 vote -

Transform options with clickable arrows all the time
Is there a way to always have the transform options like this (see "Transform with arrows.png" attachment) with clickable up and down arrows? The feature disappears unless you are grouping one or more objects (see "Transform no arrows.png" attachment).
1 voteIt’s not about arrows. It’s because for some object Distribute commands are displayed and they takes the space Transform controls would take instead. What you can do is to press Control panel menu (rightmost button with three stripes) and untick Align and/or Distribute controls to make sure that Transform will always visible. Also, for now this is the only way, Illustrator doesn’t allow to change the order of controls for Control panel :(

cancel all button while opening multiple files
when selecting a list of files for copy or move in explorer or finder, an accidental doubleclick will cause AI to open all files ....
At present, one has to try and cancel every single open. Every now and then, AI quits in that situation or has to be killed1 vote
