1. Please give us better Transparency tool like in CorelDraw and Affinity Designer

   I'm fighting between working in Affinity Designer and Illustrator, AD has much better drawing tools, it's faster than Ai, but I love the familiarity of Ai. If you can give us better Gradient and Transparency tools like in AD that would be amazing! It would help speed up the coloring process when making more realistic artwork. See Screen shot from AD.

3. These properties should now be

   1- Gradient panel > for gradient sliders > eyedropper is must be active
   2- Swatch or color panel > right click must be active > for stroke color
   3- Asset export panel > only selection out export ( fit to select art )

4. Show global swatch triangle marker in Fill Stroke Control when a global swatch is selected

   Global swatches are marked with a white triangle in the bottom right corner of the swatch. Book colors also have a black dot in this triangle.

   These triangles are displayed everywhere swatches are used in UI: Appearance, Properties, Control... But for some reason they are omitted in tool panels, in Fill Stroke controls (and also Gradient).

   I personally see no reason why. Sure users would benefit from knowing exactly if a color is global or not when they see the color chip anywhere.

5. We need Illustrator to be able to edit triangular meshes

   Ai can display triangular meshes alright, but not edit.

   We can generate one by expanding modern 3D object with the Render as Vector option turned on, we can have one generated after expanding an object filled with Freeform Gradient (which is just the live container with control points for creating one, with no control over the density).

   But once they are created, we get 'Non-Native Art' bricks we can do nothing with — no Recolor, no direct edit with mesh tools, only scale and rotate and distort.

   Not enough! We need you to support these fully.
   And make some good tools for editing meshes. Sure, we have meshtormentor.com — but how many users are aware of it?

7. Add CSS color styling option to OpenType-SVG specification, so font colors may be altered in Illustrator

   Currently, OpenType-SVG color fonts come with pre-defined colors.

   To provide glyphs in different shades, additional stylistic sets need to be added to the font, bloating it tremendously.

   I propose to add the ability to OpenType-SVG to have certain colors of a glyph being overwritten by the application (e.g. Illustrator), so text colors can be applied to a range of glyphs just like it's done with standard monochrome glyphs.

   To do so, OpenType-SVG should be able to export a set of color reference names, referenced within the glyph's SVG. An application may then assign alternate colors to those color references, so the glyph will render using these colors.

   For example, an OpenType-SVG glyph may look similar to this:

8. Blend annotator

   It would be good if the blend tool worked like the gradient annotator where you can weight the blend along the linear axis using sliders to quickly adjust the spacing of the blended objects.

10. disable few pixel width zoom

    When I zoom in and out, I often accidentally move the mouse a tiny bit and it assumes I want to zoom in to a couple pixel area.

    This has happened to me thousands of times and I have never, not once, needed to zoom into a tiny section of my work.

    If the zoom plus or minus overrode the tiniest of selections that are just inadvertent miniscule movements, I think that would help people a LOT.

    Also, still waiting for an export raster setting, becouse doing all this manually (render, import, place) is such a waste of time. That or make gradients printable without banding.

12. Improve intertwine for gradients and effects

    Improve intertwine to allow gradients along a path before intertwine is made, then fully implement drop shadows to overlap intertwined segments. See attachment explaining workaround I produced along with high res rasterization to show where result is better than Illustrator display on monitor.

13. Effect/Filter parity with Photoshop/Indesign/After Effects

    Many of the effects in Illustrator seem to be only half implemented (in comparison to PS/AE/etc). Illustrator's glow/shadow/etc effects only have a few options compared to the same effects in other Adobe apps, which makes them less adaptable & powerful. Please beef up the effects (and add new ones, such as directional feather/gradient feather/inner shadow) in Illustrator so that they match the offerings in Adobe's other apps.

14. Allow to set Shades, similar to how Tints work now

    I'd like to see a Shade option added to global swatches. Currently, we have tint, which adds varying levels of white to the color until you reach 100% white. Shade would act in the opposite direction, adding varying levels of black until you reached 100% black.

    I would envision this working by letting users click the "T" next to the slider in the color palette and having it switch to an "S", with the gradient changing from white on the left to black.

    This would be helpful because I often find myself needing not only lighter hues to work with a color palette but darker ones as well. I rely on creating al new colors or multiplying a black shape on top of the current color one. This does add a layer of complexity to shape selection and color changes with global colors. A global shaded color would update as would any global tinted color.

15. Hint all Preferences options, even without (i) icon

    Some options in Preferences are mystery for new users, but the team believe only some (just 3!) should have a dedicated (i) icon to display a hover hint.

    How on Earth a user can guess what 'Show/Hide Rulers' does? It feels like it is the same as View > Rulers > Show / Hide Rulers, but no, it’s not! You have to search for it! (just rename this one already)

    Or what about enigmatic 'Enable Content Aware Defaults'? What are these? OK, pros know, Puppet Warp, Lorem Ipsum, Freeform Gradient control points. But why doesn’t Ai tell this contextually, right here and now?

    'Use Precise Cursors' — what is that? What, they are usually imprecise? No, it''s just crosshair (and it can be toggle with Caps Lock) — how about telling this?

16. Radial Repeat needed updates!

    1. Oval Radial Repeat
       It would be very useful to be able to adjust the radial repeat to an oval radial repeat. Just like how you can change a radial gradient from a circular shape to an oval shape. Opens for lots of more possibilities and will be a huge time saver. Doing this manually is hard.

    2. Control rotation/angle
       It would be very useful if we can get inputs to adjust angle/rotation and option to shift lock rotation changes to 45 degrees.

    This is a major problem for having SVG look correct.

    Please import fill-rule="evenodd" properly. Test case of an "O" that imports incorrectly (as fill-rule="nonzero") without the hole in the middle. Illustrator gets this wrong, but XD imports it properly. Some additional issues:

    1. Ref-ing the same mask crashes Illustrator.
    2. Nested masks don't import properly.
    3. Gradient and image transforms and patterns (fit/fill/tile) don't import

19. Vector Halftones Effect (within AI and without third-party plugins)

    I would like AI to integrate a feature that can convert raster images and/or vector elements (gradients, sketches, shapes, anything..) into a perfectly shaped round dots Halftones Effect.

    As a matter of fact, it is already possibile to get something similar by applying the raster halftones Effect to the element and then Live Tracing it. But the result is something uneven made of irregular circles or shape. So it is not a precise function to take into consideration.

    The effect should be achieved without any third-party plugins or anything which is not already included in the full AI software release (like many already are).

    Although it isn't the most important one, it would make life easier to many of us. Besides, the same function has been already integrated in Corel Draw (Pointillizer extension) and there are many plugins or web sites that can do the job pretty well. So why such a company like Adobe can get the job done..
    I reckon many designer still use this kind of effect and rely on the smoothness of the vector result.

    So, I just thought it was about time such a simple feature could be definitely added to this powerful tool we all designers use and love to work with. (i. e. Adobe Illustrator).

    Hope you will find the feature useful and reasonable enough to start working on it (I also know there may be other suggesting the same; but since I haven't found it developed in the CC 2019 release, I thought I might as well give it a refresh....)

20. Colours in Diagramms adjust to numbers

    It would be cool that if I create a pie chart that I can name a "master colour" and Illustrator automatically adjust the colour transparency in percent. Or if I could say these are my colors, combine them in a smart way so that a bar chart gets a smart gradient
