Gradient issue on import
When exporting PDFs from indesign that contain a gradient, then opening the PDF into illustrator, the gradient completely vanishes. Tried placing the PDF into illustrator and it previews but if embedded or flattened, it disappears. Tried straight copy and paste form indesign into illustrator and nothing. This has never been an issue before and is required when printing as clients often supply indesign files and the print RIP requires illustrator etc. etc.

Action using the transform panel will not keep settings after restart of Illustrator
I created action that use the TRANSFORM panel, when closing and restarting iIllustrator the action gives the error THE OBJECT "ALIGNEMENT" IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Action does work under Illy CC 2018 (version 22.1).
Currently using version 23.0.1

Gradient tool issues
Handles on on object's Gradient Annotator are difficult to adjust once a gradient has been dropped. Usually, handles simply don't respond. User needs to start from scratch and create a brand new gradient rather than make small adjustments to existing ones.
Repeated but not consistent bug: adjusting one gradient causes changes to unrelated gradients on same document.
Live preview of gradient tool is prohibitively slow, esp when gradient is anywhere near an existing Effect.
FIX: Allow us to toggle the preview effect.

overprint preview not working properly
This is new to me as of today. This is a process I have done hundreds of times in the past with no issue. I have not received or updated anything over the past week other than any Adobe updates I receive via the Creative Cloud.
What I do is create a separate layer in a file to set up a kiss cut for cutting vinyl. I use a spot colour for this - same spot colour I have been using since day one.
I apply the spot colour to the text or object - in this case a box…

Simplify Path Creates New Shape on a New Layer on Each Adjustment
Hi! I was trying to use the Simplify Path tool in the latest Illustrator 2019 (23.0.6) and I am getting this weird error. If I have the preview mode selected, each time I make an adjustment in the dialog box a new layer is created. By default, it selects that new shape to update the path without a clear way to go back unless you go to the original layer and begin again in which the whole process starts over. If this is supposed to be an improvement in the feature I'm not quite sure how? Please let me know…

Linked images are broken when open a AI file on a different computer
I work with a AI file and some placed image as links.
If I try to open that file on a different computer i shows all the images links as broken. I need to fix each path evrytime.

Unwanted emails from Adobe
Why am I getting spammed twice a day with 20-60 illustrator bug messages.? My company quarantines these unwanted messages. I get nothing out of them and I cannot turn them off.

Action bug
Illustrator 2020 doesn't allow my action to work. I created an action that runs a script from the script menu, but cannot use nor record a new action that runs a script.

Expanding a Live Paint Object Changes Dimensions
Reporting a very frustrating Illustrator bug that has been there since version CS6 at least.
There is a bug concerning the Live Paint tool. Live Paint objects need to be expanded most of the time to develop them further in Illustrator. However, after expanding, the dimensions of the shapes get distorted and this renders the Live Paint tool completely useless for precise drawings or illustrations.
I hope something can be done to eradicate this bug as it extensively hinders workflow of many projects that need to be developed with Illustrator.

when I transform an object the rotation angle remains visible in the transformation panel while that the inclination angle disappears ... why? it's very frustrating ...
In InDesign this is possible and correct .... not in illustrator.It is not possible to reset or reproduce the angle of inclination on another object.

Duel Screen Issue
Both Ps and Ai malfunction when using a second monitor. Problem: when either application is open and I shuts off, unplugs 2nd monitor or closed laptop with 2nd monitor still plugged in, the next time I am in either app the files I have open are frozen. Or when I open a new file there is no art board shown. The only resolve is to restart the program.

selection bug
As the title describes, this is a bug with the selection tool. I've had this bug several times today, everytime it does I have to restart Illustrator which is madness.
feel free to check the files that I've provided, and please FIX THE BUGS BEFORE ADDING MORE FEATURE TO ILLUSTRATOR. the features are useless unless Illustrator improve the reliability to the users.

Some of AI file paths disappear when exporting to PNG or JPG
A simple AI file containing the logo and text (all outlined) is saved fine as AI or PDF, but if I try to export it to PNG or JPG, some of the paths contained within the image disappear and are not rendered in the resulting raster file. I am attaching the master AI file, and the rendered PNG file (created by going to File > Export As > PNG). Rotate tool dialogue box won't appear
After selecting the rotate tool, rotate dialogue box won't appear.
a dialogue box will appear only if I double click on the rotate tool but then I am not able to move the anchor point to the center of the object.
6 votesAs per the comment, the way to call the dialog and to define the arbitrary rotation pivot is to Opt/Alt+Click the desired position when the tool is picked.

Can only marquee zoom when in overprint preview or wireframe.
The marquee zoom tool is not working correctly in CC 2019. Previously you could turn "Zoom to selection" on or off. In CC 2019 this option is still available under preferences, but regardless if you turn it on or off, the marqee zoom feature only works if you're in overprint preview or wireframe. When in GPU Preview, only "Zoom to selection" works, even if you have it turned off.
