Embedding link/image and it duplicates itself in top left corner
Occasionally, when i embed an image in the link menu, it will duplicate that image in the top right hand corner of my document. The one I embedded into the document is embedded, but the "new" duplicate is still linked. I just noticed this happening as of recently.

Problem with Adobe Illustrator after Windows 10 update

Illustrator randomly deform random nodes and elongates them!
illustrator ver 23.1.1
os ver macos 10.13.6
16gb 2.8ghz hd5750gpu board.While working with illustrator (2018-2019 both are doing the same thing. While moving or duplicating curved objects around the page, or while saving the document, it's randomly picks a one of curve nodes and elongates them to random length. Done experimenting with other mac stations and same file, we cannot reproduce this behaviour. Uninstalled - reinstalled illustrator and updated os system didnt help either.

Simplify Path Creates New Shape on a New Layer on Each Adjustment
Hi! I was trying to use the Simplify Path tool in the latest Illustrator 2019 (23.0.6) and I am getting this weird error. If I have the preview mode selected, each time I make an adjustment in the dialog box a new layer is created. By default, it selects that new shape to update the path without a clear way to go back unless you go to the original layer and begin again in which the whole process starts over. If this is supposed to be an improvement in the feature I'm not quite sure how? Please let me know…

Can only marquee zoom when in overprint preview or wireframe.
The marquee zoom tool is not working correctly in CC 2019. Previously you could turn "Zoom to selection" on or off. In CC 2019 this option is still available under preferences, but regardless if you turn it on or off, the marqee zoom feature only works if you're in overprint preview or wireframe. When in GPU Preview, only "Zoom to selection" works, even if you have it turned off.

Workspace basics are not appearing and I can't reset workspace
Basically the title I can only use stuff I have remembered by hotkeys and the option to reset isn't available, I am even unable to change the layout I use entirely, I am new to illustrator and this is very frustrating.

Frequent crash Illustrator 2019 23.1.1.
Crashes 4-8 times a day, just like that. Illustrator crashes even if you just walk away from the computer and do nothing. Then he just closes the program. Without notification. When opening the file again, he will only give a message that he has saved it as a 'recovered' file.

yellowish tint background within jpg file
I updated the illustrator 23.1 and yellowish tint is still there among my jpg file. how can I get rid of it?

randomly shutting off and not saving
so im in a digital arts class at my school so i dont know much about the computers, i am was working on a project and i was just about finished with my outline after 1 hour 32 minutes of work and the Illustrator just shuts off randomly and i go to open the app back up again and it didn't save. This better get fixed, and if it doesn't me and my teacher aggreed we will go to something else if we have to.

No matter how I uninstall/reinstall my vinyl cutter... it wont show up under extensions in illustrator 2019

Grouped Objects Resizing Errors & Inconsistency

Illustrator 23.0.6 - ( issue has existed through many versions / upgrades )
—I thought that I had successfully reported this particular issue in the recent past, but cannot find it in a search, so am re-reporting. My apologizes if I'm doubling up.

Illustrator crashes when using Image Trace
Illustrator has been continually crashing when I use the Image Trace tool. I have been using it on the "Sketched Art" setting with an image file that is 20in x 13in @ 300dpi. Also, I have noticed that when I start to manipulate the advanced options, this is when it crashes most often.
I am using Illustrator CC on Mojave OS.

Problem with center align and arrowheads (v 23.1)
I have a few simple lines with arrowheads. When I try to use center align to line these elements up, the arrowheads swap ends on some lines. The alignment works, but when I try to undo this, the arrowhead doesn't revert to original direction? This seems to be a bug.

Corner widgets are off automatically
Every time i open Illustrator I have to enable the Corner Widgets. It seems that the preferences file for these types of settings does not update.

Expanding compound path causes a shift in the object shape
If I call Expand on a compound path, there is a shift in the width and height of the object. This seems to only be a problem when the stroke is in the center. If the stroke is inside or outside, there isn't a problem.
2 votesIllustrator can display width and height values respecting the width of strokes and effects, if you enable Use Preview Bounds option in Preferences > General. It also makes bounding box larger to fit them visually, hence the change in dimensions.
When it’s off, only geometric shape is taken into account, ignoring stroke width or effects.
When you expand the shape, the stroke is not a stroke anymore, but a filled path, that makes the overall group geometrically larger. -
User Interface slide scale not on my Illustrator 2019
Having issues with 2019 version while using hotdoor CADtools. Viewed great with 2018, but in 2019, it's too tiny to read. Solution I am given is to go to Preferences>User Interface and up the scale. And I'm shown the screenshot (attached) for the adjustment scale. However, my AI has the screen (attached) w/o any scale. Why is this? Running Windows 10 Pro / 64-bit. Screens are in set in Portrait mode w 1080 x 1920 res. Again, the CADtools worked great in 2018 Illustrator but not in 2019.

Opening and placing .psd artwork not working consistently as described in documentation.
importing images from .psd files intermittently not working as described. When opening or placing a .psd file, no option to convert layers is offered. The entire image opens right up as a single object with an opaque white background.
I have been using these packages since 1994 and this just started happening in th past few weeks. Using Windows 10, AI 23.0.6 (64-bit). PS 20.0.6 release

Hide Edges during Transform Each
In some operations (e.g. Transform Each), we discover that the selection edges are influencing the perception of the preview. It would be nice when the Hide Edges command can be triggered while still in such an operation, in stead of leaving the function, turn off Edges, and repeat.
