Illustrator not outlining type correctly
I've only started to encounter this recently and it doesn't happen with all fonts. When I outline certain typefaces - such as your Source Sans - it outlines parts of some letters individually, such as the bar in the letter 'A' in the attached example, or does some bizarre detour as seen in both the comma and the apostrophe (the two most typical examples I could think of).
All I am doing is outlining type with no stroke.
I'm running Illustrator 24.3 and Catalina 10.15.6

When copying text in Arabic or Hebrew, Illustrator messes up the characters.
Somehow the text gets flipped into Jibberish. Even when Arabic fonts are used such as Adobe Arabic. This causes the world to be filled with jibberish Hewbrew and Arabic.

Fonts not being listed in Illustrator when used in a clipping group with transparency effects
Adobe Illustrator CC 24.3. Windows 10 Pro 1909. OS Build 18363.1082
Converting fonts to outlines did not catch the ones used in a clipping group with transparency effects. The effect was an embossed look. When the fonts weren't activated for the file, the embossed look changed as it substituted a font, but Illustrator gave no warning and no fonts were listed in the "Find Fonts" panel. The font used in the emboss effect was listed when viewed in Acrobat but not Illustrator.

Text Appearance Attributes have a ghost text underneath visible.
When I add a stroke of white to black fill, there remains, unmovable original beneath. So it shows up where where not desired. See attachments.

Typography disappears when the text is added on a curved path
This was said to have been fixed in 24.0, but I just updated to 24.3 and had this issue. Any time I use the type on path tool, it appears as though I'm typing (layer name changes) but the text is completely invisible no matter the font size or color and I am unable to highlight the text.

Just updated to Illustrator 24.3 and now installed font only has a few letters
I updated to the latest version of Illustrator (24.3) and opened a document I had created in a previous version. Most of my text was missing. I checked and the font was still available and activated. I deactivated and reactivated and that didn't help. When I click the text, it gives me the message that "This text was created in a different version of Illustrator. Editing the text may cause some changes to your text layout. Basic formatting will not be affected. Do you want to continue?" The font is PeachyKeenJF. Only a few letters/numbers actually show up. pasting text fails in v24.3
Pasting text inside a text box fails, it creates a new text box so all styles need to be re-applied.

Ver 23.3, When character unit is Q, spin button does not work properly with font size of character panel and control
Version : 24.3
OS : Windows and macOS- Set the unit character to series (Q) in the environment settings
- Create point text and area text
- Change the font size of the character panel or control with the spin button.
In this operation, the spin button does not work properly, and the size can be changed only within a specific range based on the character size at the time of selection.
In the property panel, it works normally.
Even if you enter it directly, a value with decimal will be entered instead of the entered value.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Text height is wrong
When you select a specific text height, it is not correct. Say for instance you select 1 inch for text height but in reality the cap height is .68 inches. We work at a sign shop and a lot of jobs require a specific text height. This is misleading when I pick 1 inch for text height and it is no where near 1 inch in height. Can you please make it where the text height corelates to the actual cap height of the text, otherwise this feature is useless.
3 votesLatest Illustrator releases have Font Height Options you can access form Character panel’s menu — they allow you to set font height as a capital / x-height specifically.
The functionality has some minor issues (regarding rounded stems for some fonts, keeping the chosen option between launches), but otherwise it is very good. Please try it!

Font Preview Size
In Illustrator 24.2.3,
We are not able to change the Font Preview Size in the preference Dialogue in/under the Type Tab, and you also do not have the same feature in the Type Menu, which is the right place to set the Font Previews size default,
we are also not able to see the Font names in the written text as a preview in the Font/Character Menu.6 votes -
Clicking "Add to Dictionary" on the right-click context menu for spell check does not update red underline...
When adding a word to the spell-check dictionary using the right-click context menu, the underline remains under the word. Shouldn't that get removed after adding the word to the dictionary? It does not get removed from other instances of the word in the document either.

Text on path gets selected when you marquee over empty space
When I need to select something under the arc, like it’s shown in the GIF attached, I can use marquee and the the type object gets selected.
Why?
Did I click the path? No.
Did I click the text? No.
That’s just the 'Illustrator’s way'. Can you make an option to disable this nonsense?14 votes -
Leaders in Tab
I was using leader with tabs to draw lines. They do not flush evenly to the right in Illustrator 2020 (24.2.3). This feature works in Illustrator 2019 (23.1.1). On a Mac (10.14.6)

Preference settings for Type have changed
Previous versions of Illustrator allowed me to set my preferences for type to this:
Size/Leading = 0.5pts
Baseline shift = 0.5ptsBut in Illustrator cc 2020 v24.2.2 it is no longer possible to do that. This is what I am getting:
Size/Leading = 1pt
Baseline shift = 1ptIt seems like 1pt is now the lowest you can go.

new update (24.2.3) brings back Thai language problem when creating outline
Thai font deleted or missing when create outline.
Most of the time it happens to few or last fonts of the line.NOTE: weird thing is when newly launch the app and open CC2020 file first, Create Outline works fine. But once I open another file which is legacy file eg. CS6, this issue suddenly happens. After that if I continue working on CC2020 file, this issue also happens on CC2020 file.

Point Type moving when opening CC2019 AI file in AI2020

AI2020 version 24.2.1Only seems to occur when the text is aligned to the centre, set as point type and has tracking applied to it.
We have artwork files created in CC2019. When opening one of these files in AI 2020, version 24.2.1 on either Mojave or Catalina, text that is set up with tracking, is point type (instead of area type) and centre aligned shows a significant movement to the right.

The name of the font & font style aren't refreshed (top bar)
The name of the font & font style aren't refreshed (in the character box of the top bar) When I click on another text element, it keeps the name of the previous font and font style.

Type "AU" and choose the Daikon VF font
In the property bar, click the Variable Font button and move the weight slider between the extreme locations. Observe how the top of "U" "wiggles" (jumps up and down). This is shown in videos/DaikonVF-Illustrator-24.2.1,.mp4
