  1. Enabling Rulers or entering Outline or Isolation mode completely disables GPU Preview

    Illustrator Version: 25.2.1

    Mac OS: 11.2.3 Big Sur
    MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
    CPU: 2.3GH-z 8-Core i9
    Memory 664 GB 2667MHz DDR4
    Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5600M 8GB

    Displays: 2x LG UN850 4K Displays (Connected via Thunderbolt) + Built in MBP Display

    Reproduce steps:

    Restart Machine
    Launch Illustrator upon startup
    Create New Blank Document
    Press Cmd+R to enable Rulers
    Click "view" under main menu and see "View Using GPU" grayed out

    Did not have this issue with prior versions of Illustrator or Mac OS

    Temporary Fix:

    Save file with rulers hidden
    Re-Open document
    Should default to having GPU on

    Thanks for reporting this issue, but as we are unable to reproduce the same inhouse, we would need some more information 


    • Please share the details of the Ai version (desktop) you are using.
    • If possible , it would be helpful for us to reproduce the issue if you could share the files with which you constantly face the issue.
    • Please share system details and GPU details for the machine you are using.

  2. Can't create nor open document

    Mac mini M1, OsX 12.3
    Can't open a document : freeze
    Can't create a new document (print or web) : Freeze
    Prefs already trashed, reinstalled illustrator 2022 26.1, Minimal fonts set.

  3. Not Responding. Crashing when I go to make a pattern

    Operating system: Windows 10
    Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
    31.85GB RAM

    Currently in the process of creating a 40cm x 40cm all over surface pattern design print. So far everything has been fine. My total file size is 435mb.

    When I select my imagery ready to turn in to Object > Pattern > Make
    Illustrator decides that it can't process this, freezes and crashes.
    I am on the most up to date versions of Illustrator and drivers for my RAM.
    I have also tried simplifying my pathways to no avail.

    Does anyone else know…

  4. Preview of color selections (AI 26.0.2)

    I am from Release of Illustrator, which the preview of color selections, if activated, does not allow me to enlarge over 1200%, because the screen becomes all gray. I tried in preferences> performance to activate and deactivate the GPU, without any change. I tried to trash all the preferences, without any change. I tried to uninstall Illustrator, without any change.

  5. animated zoom malfunctions after placing images in illustrator

    When I place files from photoshop into illustrator, the animated zoom malfunctions. It's still turned on in the preferences, but it just doesn't work. This has been a problem for several months. It doesn't have to be a .psd file, it seems to be any format (admittedly, I haven't tried every possibility). Running os 11.6 & & Illustrator 26.0–however, this started showing up in previous versions.

    Yet another of hundreds of bugs that now plague this once great program. I'm tired of constantly using workarounds (that impede and drastically slow my workflow) to utilize illustrator. Not like it'll ever get…

  6. Strg-X Strg-V Problem

    StrgX - StrgV wenn dieser Befehl oft gemacht wird, funktioniert nicht das einfügen nicht immer: Auschneiden geht immer, das Objekt wird ausgeschnitten und ist nicht sichtbar, aber fügt das nicht wieder ein.

  7. Livepaint groups mis-aligned when zoomed in full

    When zooming in (starts becoming noticeable around 4800%) the fills in a livepaint group do not align with the vectors they are made from. I've experienced this on multiple systems, both PC and Mac.

    Current OS: Intel i7-9700 @ 3 GHz, 16G RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card.

  8. AiRobin using 16-24% CPU constantly

    Every time Illustrator is opened (and sometimes after it is closed) AIRobin uses cpu constantly even when no files are opened.

    1. OS: Windows 10 Pro ver:2004 build:19041.1165
    2. Illustrator Beta 26.0.667
    3. steps to reproduce are above
    4. my expected result is for it to only use CPU when a task is needed
    5. this description should be more than adequate.

  9. Slow performance after selecting grouped layers

    2020 Intel Mac, MacOS 12.2, Illustrator 26.0.2
    Illustrator works fine until I multiple click, deep into an object layer. Once I see object properties the whole app starts to slow drastically. Scrolling, zooming, selecting objects are all delayed. The only solution is to restart the app and not accidentally click into the layers.

    With nested shapes, it happens screen refreshing problems in Illustrator 2022. It doesn´t happen in Illustrator 2021

  11. object remaining after command z causing memory error message

    I attempted to duplicate an artboard full of clipping masks and objects but afterwards, clicked command z. All quickly as unintended results. It left behind one box with transparency effect. every attempt to move this left behind object, caused the error "Can't move the objects. There isn't enough memory ID: -108"
    Removing the objects seems to removed the problem.

  12. Multi-Selection Lag on M1 MacBook Pro

    When selecting multiple objects or points, Illustrator will lag consistently throughout the process and the objects will "stick" to your cursor. So the previously selected objects end up being moved while trying to select more objects.

  13. Files take too long to close

    Any opened file takes way too long to close. It used to be fast a couple months ago. Then something changed and every file, even small files take at least 5 full seconds to close. Everything else is fast. Photoshop is fast. The only other program that is slow closing files is Indd.
    - Already tried deleting preferences, and rolling back illustrator to older version

  14. SLOW PERFORMANCE - MACBOOK M1

    I have a brand new MacBook M1 running Big Sur. 11.2.3
    The performance with vector objects is terrible!
    Even with turning off layers, moving basic objects (2x text boxes, 2x lines and a 2x rectangles) its almost crashing Illustrator.

    I try to arrow and there's a 6 second delay.
    I try to undo, there's a 10 second delay.

    This is terrible. Seriously what have you guys done to the Adobe suite?
    I've just replace a 2017 MacBook Pro with this system, because you claimed my old laptop isn't up to ""modern programs" - clearly this is a adobe problem.

  15. Illustrator utterly slow after 25.3.1 update

    Running on late 2013 mac Pro with 64GB RAM

    As per title, even menus take a while before opening. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, no effect. If I go back one version it works as before, at usual speed.

  16. "Not Responding" every 30 seconds

    1. Windows 10, Intel i9-9900K, 32GB Mem, Nvidia RTX 2060 Super
    2. Adobe Illustrator Desktop v25.3.1
    3. Open Illustrator
    4. Every 30 seconds, "Not Responding" appears and I am unable to perform any action for approximately 15 seconds

    I also received a System Compatibility Report- Video Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630. I ensured all drivers, windows, and illustrator are up to date. The issue still occurs.

  18. crashes opening .ai files

    AI worked fine on Saturday (25 Sep), today the same files crash the program. Update over the weekend? Can AI stop pushing updates that turn the program into a brick? In Alaska, we don't have unlimited bandwidth, we have to pay everytime I am forced to uninstall and redownload/re-install adobe programs for BAD updates. Why do we pay you to be in a constant beta?

  20. Illustrator 2021 (Version 25.0.0) crashing when running Variable Importer script

    Ever since the update, the program crashes when you either "test" the files before importing the variables or even if you skip this step and directly choose importing the variables, it completely crashes the application. I require this script for my job and have a project due this Friday, October 30th 2020. Please address immediately.
