Scrubby Zoom Suddenly Stops Working
2019 MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.7. Adobe Illustrator 25.2.
Scrubby zoom suddenly stops working, even though GPU and Animated Zoom are still enabled within Preferences. This happens once or twice a week; the only way I have found to resolve is restarting the MacBook.
It happens while working in relatively small/simple documents, all of a sudden, without making any changes to Preferences.
3 votesAnimated zoom works only in GPU rendering mode and won’t work in specialized modes like Pixel or Overprint Preview — they still rely on CPU calculations.

Since updating to 2020 and 2021, Illustrator is slow and laggy on creating simple vector files.

G-Sync
I don't understand why, but all Creative Cloud apps get affected by G-Sync. The mouse cursor while using any Creative Cloud app lags severely. But, as soon as you turn off G-Sync, it's smooth as butter.

The file keeps crashing whenever I zoom in or out
Usually, everything functions perfectly; it is just I started to have a problem whenever I zoom in or out. The whole file crashes sometimes, then it turns back to normal, or it might keep freezing until I close the Illustrator.
This is a weird issue because it only happens with zooming in or out, and it happened with Illustrator 2021 and 2020. I think it is from my computer, but everything is updated; I updated my drivers recently, and I still have the same issue.1 vote -
Illustrator 2021 crashes when trying to import AutoCad DWG
Every time I try and open an AutoCAD dwgs in illustrator, the options to choose what scale I want comes up and when I click ok, the whole program crashes and the pop up box comes up asking if I want to send a report to illustrator. I cant open any of my dwg drawings at all!
I've uninstalled and re-installed illustrator many times and updated it to make sure its the latest update and I've turned my computer off and on many times but nothing works. It worked for me before I updated so I think its the latest…

Network corrupting app repeatedly
I have read articles about how Adobe doesn't like to work with networks but my issue is my company does not allow for me to use anything off the network. We have extreme security settings so there is no option at all to work around it. Because of this, the app corrupts at least once a month and IT won't help. I'm the one stuck with reinstalling the app and all the settings constantly. Please help work on a solution for designers like me whose hands are tied with how we use the software. Gradient tool hangs after using
Exactly as the title says. Using the gradient tool in the most recent versions of Illustrator results in the app not responding for about a minute.

Illustrator 2021 can't save with NVIDIA 1050
With this new version i can't save any document. My laptop gets freeze and I have an NVIDIA GEFORCE 1050 plus an Intel Core I7 9th Gen.

Falsely claims video drivers out of date
Your last 2 or 3 updates, after updating & re-opening AI, it tells me my video card driver is out of date. I have updated everything it tells me to update, they are correct & latest versions. Still AI tells me this with a pop up stating 'I may have performance issues if I continue without updating drivers'.
I've done all I can my end, had it checked by IT guys - can you look into it please?

Jittery mouse cursor before changing state / hovering over links when Adobe application is open

Slack & Illustrator freeze each other
Sometimes Illustrator freezes on save and f I click Slack, I notice that it also has frozen. If I force quit Slack, Illustrator sometines unfreezes without having to force quit it.

Illustrator keeps shutting down
My Illustrator keeps shutting down. It tells me I have an unsupported video driver. Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. It has been doing this all week. I have never had this problem before. And now I have to sign in every time it starts.

Illustrator 2021 (25.1.0) slows, freezes, crashes every 1-3 hours.
I have tried to use Illustrator 25.1.0 on 3 different laptops, ALL instances resulted in the same problem. The application will perform normally for a while, then at some point, typically between 1-3 hours of constant use, the function you are asking for via mouse input will freeze. (examples: moving a text box or shape, highlighting text, etc.) Sometimes the freeze will be preceded by a slight slow down in responsiveness. Removed a middle anchor, then an infinite long "handle line" caused the file and the recovery file to crash AI
I placed a line with 3 anchors, removed the middle anchor.
Then AI created automatically an infinite long handle from one of the remaining anchor points.
I coudln´t save the file, it crashed immediately and the recover file got the same bug, so I couldn´t even save the recovery file. the whole infected file is lost completely. (I lost 6 hours of work because of this bug)._

Text tool crashes version 25.x
In version 25.0x and later, every time I draw a text box, Illustrator hangs. After it catches up with itself, I'm left with a text box that I can't access -- if I click on it, Illustrator hangs again. It's unusable.
I had to uninstall and go back to 24.3.

25.1 Constant Crashing
Since updating to 25.1 I am experiencing constant crashes on even basic vector logo ai files. Never happened before this update, I am on an Asus Rog Strix with a 1650 GTX. Windows 10.
