A layer name with Emoji brakes a layer window
When an artwork contains a layer whose name has emoji such as 👍, a layer window is broken. Interfaces (Eye or lock icons, thumbnail or name) of several layers or groups will disappear and lost controlled. Fortunately, I knew which layer name has emoji so that it has been recovered by deleting the emoji.
version: Illustrator 24.0.2 with Windows 10 x64

Welcome screen doesn't show
Hello,
I'm using windows 10 and Illustrator 24.0.2.Whenever I'm launching Illustrator, without opening a .ai file, my welcome screen doesn't show at all. I can start a new project fine but I still need my screen to show. And yes the setting to show the welcome screen is checked.

Select Objects in Layer selects locked objects
Objects that are locked within a layer get selected when selecting everything in a layer. Instead of selecting everything in the layer except the locked items.

Document Setup - Artboard size not showing cursor
Pre update the artboard size fields (W: and H: fields) after clicking Document Setup button in top toolbar would show cursor position. After updating to 24.2 the cursor is no longer visible. The field will highlight but we are not able to see the cursor position.
Please allow for cursor to be visible inside these fields.

Info Palette anomalies
The Info Palette in AI 24.2 won't resize to its normal size. Plus the CMYK fields are out of place.

TAB not working properly
When I click TAB it hides or shows or the menus, but if I try to clck TAB immediately again, the function doesn't work. THis wasn't the case in the previous versions.

Tiny UI
UI is super tiny and remains that way even if I choose "large scaling" in the UI preferences. I even updated the program and it's still an issue. operating on windows 10 and Adobe 2020.

Cannot maximize, minimize, resize, or close the program because the top bar is MISSING
"Application Frame" doesn't exist in the Window drop down and that is the ONLY advice you give to fix this bug. I can't even use the program until this issue is fixed so it's useless paying for CC

automatic page zoom after hiding Illustrator

Illustrator Version: 24.1.3I frequently hide Illustrator with cmd-H keyboard shortcut.
I kept noticing the system chime when returning to Illustrator.
I recently noticed the zoom entry at the lower left corner was highlighted when returning.
I don't think this should be highlighted, waiting for me to type a zoom percentage when I come back to Illustrator. The chime is for an incorrect entry.1 vote -
Cannot deselect the selected area even when nothing on canvas
Like I said on title. When I use selection tool, it happens occasionally. It can not be deselect even when I lock and turn off visibility all my layers. The only way to solve this problem is turn off the current window, and reopen the file. It is really annoying. Please fix it. Thank you.

drop down boxes appear off screen - instead of simply dropping down.
I encounter and issue in illustrator where my drop-down menus appear either on the left of my screen or in the case of the Variable Width Profile opens at the bottom of my screen, (outside of illustrator) and won't allow me to select the profile I would prefer. It's a floating box but it won't allow me to move it. I have a similar issue in Premier as well. I don't have this issue in PS, so it appears as exlcusive to illustrator.

Document window opens as narrow strip, will not expand to full width
Every document. Every time.
Multiple documents stack inside this narrow window.
Documents set to open in tabs.
Same regardless if Illustrator is opened first or opens with document.
Documents on external drives and local machine.Illustrator 23.0.4

Application Frame turned off. (with frame turned on things work differently... fine)
Both built in display and 32-inch 4k.Only started this when I upgraded to CC 2019.
Clicking here expands the window too it's original, correct size.

Illustrator 2020 v24.1.1 - "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" can't save new symbol
I tested the new Real-Time Drawing and Editing feature today and found that once I finished my drawing, dragging it over to the Symbols pane to create a new symbol as I normally would resulted in the attached error.
This was the first bit of work I had done since enabling this new feature so I suspected it was the cause and I moved on to two other projects to confirm. The input fields and dropdowns get visual artifacts and then illustrator crashes sometimes after that.
The text boxes and dropdowns get visual artifacts - resizing illustrator causes ui to disappear until you hover over it, and then illustrator becomes unresponsive or crashes after that.

The standard Lock/Unlock guides keyboard shortcut doesn't seem to be working on Illustrator CC 2020 on MacOS.

Variable width profile is off screen
I don't understand why but this bug is visible not only in illustrator but also in Premier.
My issue is that many of the scroll, drop down tools or options appear in random areas of my work area. Most specific is my Variable width profile - instead of dropping down, it appears on the lower end of my illustratror window. I have multiple monitors and on one (IMAC 27") the full drop-down appears on the lower end of the work area. On my LG 34" inch, it appears partially off-screen, none the less off my work area. Artboard Size in Properties Panel Arrow Key Enlarge/Reduce Increments Incorrect After 24.1.1 Update
As of the latest patch (24.1.1), when using the up and down arrow keys to change the size of an artboard in the Properties panel, the increments are now full inches instead of 0.1 inch increments as they were in the previous version (24.1). Is there a way to revert this behavior back? This glitch also occurred a few years ago and was fixed in a subsequent update, so I'm hopeful it can be fixed again.
