Can't save preview - error notice |
after simply saving an illustration
i get this error.
It seems i get it across both my systems
uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator (AiCC18)
i still get it...
seems to not affect the files them selves...(all seems well)
Just seems to be a bit anoying...kai
†6 votesThe issue seems to be file corruption, our support should be able to recover some of the information when you contact them. A file normally corrupts when the disk is not available during file wrote or when Illustrator crashes. We also do not support network drives which is prone to file corruption when writing large files.

Files Breaking on Save after creating Saved Swatch Library
Illustrator v22.0.1: We use art tiles to create repeat prints for textile printing. There is a bug that cause my original .eps files to become garbled after I have used that .eps file to create a saved swatch library. STEP1.png shows the original art file and its save options. STEP2.png shows creating a pattern from the art and its associated settings. STEP3.png shows saving the swatch library (I removed all of the standard Illustrator swatches as they are unnecessary for the custom swatch library). Illustartor cc 2018 Crashing when clicking the paintbrush tool or shape builder tool
Illustartor cc 2018 Crashing when clicking the paintbrush tool or shape builder tool in the tools panel. The "N" shortcut for the underlying pencil tool also crashes illustrator. I have reset preferences, but to no prevail.
I am not using GPU as Illustrator can not find my Nvidia GT540M

New Illustrator 2018 UI is not correct-missing panels and won't set workplace
This is what I get when opening the new Illustrator CC 2018. Wonky, slow to respond, no panels, workplace will not appear. THings lag and disappear randomly. Terrible!

2-finger track pad zooming glitch/delay on mac
Using 2-finger zoom with macbook pro track pad there is a major delay in Illustrator CC 2018.

Scatter brush rotation orientation to line.
When using a scatter brush with rotation set to the line (not page) the vertical orientation will randomly flip. For instance, when I'm using the scatter brush to create a bush with stems and leaves pointing up (natural orientation), after creating the line and applying the scatter brush sometimes the brush will apply pointing down.

Sudden problem with embedded bitmaps
I use embedded bitmaps for additional texture in my illustration. Since recently updating to the newest version of Adobe Illustrator CC, suddenly I am encountering a lot of problems with these-- they print irregularly, and create glitches when saving to some formats, like pngs. I have never encountered problems like this before.

Error message while launching Illustrator CC 2018
This message in German occurs while launching Illustrator 2018. After saying OK, a fragmentary Applikation displays, which is not operational. It is completely buggy and blocks even Finder until it is being quit.
"This process can't be completed, because an unknown message has occurred. [CANT]"

Illustrator CC 2018 (Mac) Crashes Affects ALL CC Programs
illustrator CC2018 crashes about every third or fourth time I "Save AS" an EPS. Freezes immediately AND freezes any open CC programs. Have to Force Quit all to restart each. This is getting old, fast.

Type reverting & doing all sorts of weird things
The new Illustrator's type feature behaves strangely. The font reverts to the 1 I chose previously when I do some things such as discard the Offset Path setting I've set for it it in the Appearance Panel.

Illustrator opening as trial and not recognizing current subscription
when opening illustrator from CC app manager or directly from start menu,
illustrator does not allow to open full version even though I have pro subscription. There is a button to buy now but that just takes me to purchase an additional subscription which I'm paid up for. When snap to grid is on, it will only create new text. It won't select existing text for editing - probably because it isn't on the grid. This never used to happen before the latest update.

Brush edge dissapears. Can't see the shape of my brush. Randomly.
Cannot see the outline of my brush. Randomly it dissapears. It would be great if I was into random looks to what I do. But I'm not.
In fact, I'll hazard a guess that not many people paying close to £50/month are very into randomly varying results.

most fonts not rendering
I have to continually uninstall and reinstall 75% of my fonts! They show up in the panel, but do not render when selected. This is way beyond aggravating and is taking up hours of my time daily.
These are fonts on my hard drive, not typekit or any other font service. using Windows 10 and Illustrator CC 2018 (happened intermittently with 2017, now it's everytime I open Illustrator or let it sit open for more than a few hours)2 votesClosing the ticket since didn’t hear back from customer.

Illustrator freezes all the time
I am not able to use Illustrator at all. I have updated to the 2018 version. Every time I want to create new project or open existing one the program freezes. No matter if I have GPU Performance option on or off.

Saving PDF Security override by gmail
Dear sir or madam,
I've noticed as i saved PDF in CS6 to send to a Client and i used password protection with no permissions (printing, copying....)
And the thing is, if you open the email att. in this case My protected PDF in gmail preview - you can print it with no problems. And if you print to a PDF file, you get the same PD minus the Password protection.
I think this could be a big issue.
So i see google's gmail now as an easy fool proof password hack tool.

Illustrator CC 2017 crashes computer on macOS 10.13 High Sierra
I didn't know there were serious compatibility issues between Adobe CC and macOS 10.13 High Sierra until after I upgraded.
Within seconds of launching Illustrator it freezes my entire machine and my only option is a hard reboot.
Please provide a status update on when this issue will be fixed. I rely on CC for my job and will have to migrate back to 10.12 Sierra in the interim.
