Illustrator CC 2017 crashes when i copy paste anything from it
When i try to copy paste anything from the Illustrator, It crashes.
1. I use the latest Illustrator CC 2017
2. For example i draw a cube
3. I open the Photoshop as well
4. Back to Illustrator and copy the cube and try to paste into the photoshop but the Illustrator crashes.
5. I reinstall it and rebooted the PC of course but nothing changes
6. Honestly if i push the "CTRL-C" within Illustrator it crashes asap, so i cannot copy/paste anything within the AI.
I am closing the ticket due to lack of response.

Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

I have the same issue. Simple copy paste procedure makes it crash. I am running CC2018 on Windows 10.
Hi Raghuveer. I'm not sure what a connect session is? I am on a work computer with tight security so I do not believe it will be allowed.
Will it be possible for you to join a connect session? If yes, then please let me know the timings.
I am in IST zone (+5:30 GMT).
Raghuveer - I am not aware of the Digital Guardian app on my system and found none doing a search. We do use a Kaspersky security app but that cannot be disabled because this is a computer supplied by my company. It is fully updated though.
Thanks Kirsten, got it.
Are you using Digital Guardian application on your system? Is that application fully updated?
What happens when you turn that OFF/uninstall, do AI crash after that also?
With Best Regards,
Thank you Raghuveer! I have just emailed ShareWithAI@adobe.com my dump file. I am not using any clipboard utility. Please let me know if there is anything else you need.
Thanks Chet. I got it. Can you please share your NFO file again with us at ShareWithAI@adobe.com? The earlier you shared seems to got corrupted somehow.
@Kirsten: You can share that using "drop box" or "we transfer" free web sharing services.
Just upload the file there and share the link with us.
Are you guys using any clipboard utility?
Thanks & Regards,
Thanks Raghuveer! I have just sent the email to email@example.com with the information you and Ashutosh has requested.
I have the dump file, but it is 319 MB, which I assume I cannot email. Can I send a download link? How do I share the web server link? I would like to get this solved as this is preventing me from using Illustrator! Please help.
If you are encountering this crash please do share the files mentioned in the help link which Rama has already suggested in his post. You can share the WEB SERVER link to mailing address firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am also having this problem. On the latest CC version of Illustrator on Windows 7 and I literally can not hit "CTRL-C" without it crashing every time. Even if I drag to another program or hit copy from the menu bar.. crashes every time. How can you work if you can not copy anything??
I have had this same problem with Illustrator since it has been installed on this computer (brand new computer). Rama, I have followed the crash dump instructions you show above. After zipping them and placing them onto a file sharing platform, what do I do next?
Please share crash dump for analysis. Following article explains how to access the crash dump
Did you receive any feedback form adobe? Thanks,
