Open and Save Dialog boxes in Mac OS Dark Mode
While the UI section of the preferences does allow you to change the UI of Illustrator to a darker them, when will the Open and Save dialog boxes match the dark UI of the operating system for Mac OS Catalina. Here is a screenshot to display the Save dialog box. This is not a dark theme to match the system UI, however, Photoshop does (here are the screenshots while using the dark mode UI in Adobe and in the Mac OS Catalina).

Minor issue - Old date on splash screen (2019 instead of 2020)
I launched version 24.2.3 and noticed that it says © 1987-2019 instead of © 1987-2020 on the splash screen. Other up-to-date Adobe apps says 2020.

Measurements of objects
OS X 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.2.3
I guess it is a new feature so that it works like in Indesign. That is at least annoying, at worst horribly dangerous for users who work with exact measurements:
You draw a path and make it 100 mm x 100 mm. By adding an outline of 5 mm the new measurements are 105 mm x 105 mm. I know that is the way to work with in an optical way, but if you want to have the path itself 100 mm x 100 mm, then that really sucks.
Suggestion would be a checkbox (or…2 votes -
Cursor in palette fields is almost not visible
The cursor in any field where you can insert values is so light that you can almost not see it.
The contrast in the fields should be increased so that the cursor is visible again.OS X 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.2.3

Cursor in palettes doesn't highlight the content
OS X 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.2.3
• If you are in a field in the transform palette (e.g. the x-field where you can define the x-position of an object) and then use the tab key to hop to the next field [y-value] then usually the content of that field is highlighted so that you can simply override the existing value. Now the cursor jumps to the end of the field value and instead of overriting it adds the new value that you type. Very annoying as every other field is not doing that.

Dotted Guidelines on Retina Displays too small, and option to move Guidleines to back needed!
I have a 27" Late 2015 iMac with a Retina display. I used to work with guidelines that were dots, but I've found that they are too small to see on a Retina display, so practically unusable, making me resort to using lines. However, if I move the same artwork window onto my second monitor (non-Retina), the dotted guidelines return to a reasonable size. If there was an option to increase the size of guideline dots as part of the UI preferences, that would be a great addition. Also: the ability to move guidelines to the back of the artwork…

Rename layer problem in 24.2; cursor disappears

Attempting to rename a layer in the Layers panel
Prior behavior: that the cursor would appear, could then be moved via the arrow keys
Actual behavior: cursor completely disappears2 votes -
Rotating with selection tool buggy
When attempting to rotate a shape using the bounding box and the selection tool, in every version previous to 24.0 I just moved the cursor outside the bounding box a certain distance and the cursor would change to a bent arrow, allowing me to click and rotate. Ever since then, I've still been able to rotate the shape this way, but the cursor arrow doesn't change to the bent arrow icon until after I click, meaning I am unsure whether or not I am about to resize or rotate the shape.

Tabs randomly stop functioning, will only show one project
Since one of the recent CC updates at the end of February, both Illustrator and Photoshop have been having a glitch multiple times a day with their tabs. You'll go into the program and see one of your projects open, but when you click on another tab it still shows the original project. The only way you can see your other projects is if you take them off the tab bar into a separate window. All tool panels behave exactly the same. The only way I can fix this is to take every single one of my projects off the…

Common Dialog Boxes lag: saves each step from Dialog Box
– MacOS Mojave 10.14.1
– AI 24.1.2The problem appears in ALL dialog boxes in Illustrator: from transforming to changing colours.
For example I want to move my object 10px to the left. I open the Dialog Box, all the Positions are 0, Preview is on. I enter 10px, the object moves to 10 px. But, for example, that isn't enough for my artwork, and i'm entering then 12px instead of 10px, in the same dialog box.
And then the "magic" happens.
Let's say the original position of the object is 0. When I enter 10px, the position changes also…

Cannot deselect the selected area even when nothing on canvas
Like I said on title. When I use selection tool, it happens occasionally. It can not be deselect even when I lock and turn off visibility all my layers. The only way to solve this problem is turn off the current window, and reopen the file. It is really annoying. Please fix it. Thank you.

Layer
I think the layer colors are wrong. In the following snipped, the purple ellipse and blue rectangle are assigned the color green in the UI but they really belong to the red layer.

The input fields and dropdowns get visual artifacts and then illustrator crashes sometimes after that.
The text boxes and dropdowns get visual artifacts - resizing illustrator causes ui to disappear until you hover over it, and then illustrator becomes unresponsive or crashes after that.

Artboard Size in Properties Panel Arrow Key Enlarge/Reduce Increments Incorrect After 24.1.1 Update
As of the latest patch (24.1.1), when using the up and down arrow keys to change the size of an artboard in the Properties panel, the increments are now full inches instead of 0.1 inch increments as they were in the previous version (24.1). Is there a way to revert this behavior back? This glitch also occurred a few years ago and was fixed in a subsequent update, so I'm hopeful it can be fixed again.
On a related note, holding control (on Windows) and using the up and down arrow keys adjust the size by 0.6 inches which I…

⌘ + = Zooming Won't Work After Recent Update
Since the most recent update 24.0.3 a couple days ago, the keyboard command to zoom in ⌘ + =, no longer works on MacBook Pro 2017 running Catalina 10.15.3 (both internal keyboard and bluetooth). Seems to be an Adobe issue as colleagues in my office are also experiencing the same problem which requires us to now use the Zoom tool. Note: the ⌘ + - combo to zoom out still functions for some reason.
