1. Motifs are eaten on artboard on exit of using pattern tool

   Hi please could someone tell me why this happens. When I exit the pattern tool by either clicking cancel or done. The motifs on the artboard are eaten away. Some times half of it or all of it, after exiting pattern tool. Sometimes text on the artboard gets filled with images. Like the text James was filled with the Noah image I have a video to demonstrate what happens but it won’t upload. .

2. Illustrator keeps oversaturating the color space even though modes/swatches are set correctly.

   When opening a file (usually with photography), illustrator will oversaturate all the colors regardless of color settings. Everything will be set to consistent CMYK settings but the colors show up so saturated and it's impossible to work in that space.

3. Saving to Creative Cloud is Changing My Patterns

   This has to do with repeating patterns. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021, desktop.
   Attached is a picture of 2 circles on a background (shield your eyes, it isn't pretty :-)). When I make the pattern - in this case, the circles were drawn with the blob brush - the inside of the 2 circles is empty and we can all see the background. It's a ring. When I pull that pattern out of swatches, however, it will color in that background. In this one, it's black. It changes depending on the pattern and the colors I'm using. And it is not consistent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it happens to just some motifs in a design and not others.
   After countless tries to figure out what it is, it does appear to be that patterns saved to Adobe's Creative Cloud will have this happen, whereas if I save it to my computer, it will not. Thank you for the help!

4. 色違いで作ったパターンがコピペされない

   MacOS Catalina 10.15.7　Illustrator 2021（25.3.1）

   同じ模様のパターンの色違い３つ作成（ABCとする）→
   ABCに塗ったオブジェクトをコピー→
   別ファイルにペースト→
   オブジェクトすべてがAの塗りになり、BCのパターンはペーストされない

   コピペされないBCを別のオブジェクトに塗り
   再度コピペしても、勝手にAの塗りに変換されます。
   同ファイル内でコピペしても同じ現象がおきます。

5. Swatch Options Set to HSB but Shows RGB

   When I double-click a swatch colour that was made in HSB mode the Swatch Options window pops up with HSB selected as the mode but displays sliders for RGB. Switching the mode to something else and back to HSB fixes the issue.

6. Global Color swatch copied into new document even if not used on element being copy/pasted.

   Problem: create a square with stroke=0 and fill=100% black. Copy and paste into new document and color swatches are okay. Now go to first document and add a Global Color swatch (i.e. Pantone Green) but don't add it to the square (so it's still stroke=0 / fill=100% black). Copy the square and paste it into a new document. For some reason, that Global Color (Pantone Green) swatch is added to the swatch palette of the new document. Now choose 'Select All Unused', the Pantone Green is selected to prove it's not being used in the element (square) you copy/pasted from the first document.

   Add to this: Add another Global Color (Pantone Purple) to the first doc but don't add it to the square. Copy/paste into another new document and only the second color swatch (Pantone Purple) is added to the new document.

   Now: Delete the first Global Color (Pantone Green) in the first doc. Copy/paste the square and add it to still another new document. You'll see a color swatch added called 'Deleted Global Color (Pantone Green)'.

   I just noticed this bug and posted it in the forums. Another user confirmed they see the same issue dating back several versions. This can be quite a problem when trying to move elements from one document to another.

7. Clicking Reset button in Recolor Artwork panel, sets 'Reset' as default button

   When using Recolor Artwork to adjust an artwork's colors, I click 'Reset' to return to previous colors. Then I adjust the colors again, and when I'm satisfied with the result, I hit Enter. This should apply the settings to the artwork. But it resets all of the settings, because 'Reset' is highlighted and hitting Enter activates it, instead of the 'OK' button, which is expected to work.

8. Creating a new swatch group from selection adds swatches that aren't used anywhere.

   At the end of a project, I like to select everything on an artboard and create a swatch group with "Convert Process to Global" checked in order to clean up my swatches and make final global tweaks to color.

   Often a handful of swatches will be added that aren't apparently used anywhere. I can verify this by selecting the swatch as a fill or stroke, then choosing Select > Same Fill (or Stroke) color. Nothing will be selected for either option. So is this a glitch, or how else can I find and delete the source of the swatch?

9. Error al crear patrones

   Cuando uno crea patrones a la vez se crean como cuadrados que serparan lo patrones esta se puede ver cuando uno expande el objeto, pero tambien a la vez afecta en el diseño cuando lo llevamos a Photoshop.

10. swatch panel missing

    The swatch panel is completely missing all of the sudden. This is a PERTINENT feature for me and needs to be fixed ASAP.

11. Editing pattern or symbol changes selected layer

    Upon exiting edit mode for symbols or patterns the selected layer will change to the top-most layer. It should remember the selected layer prior to entering edit mode and maintain that.

12. The colors in the closed file are persistently and almost forcibly trying to enter the palette.

    Let's say a spot color was used in a previous work and somehow copied. Later, when the file job is finished and I start another new job even though I have closed it, the copied color in the closed file persistently and almost forcibly tries to enter the palette. I tried to describe it simply in the video.

13. Fehlendes abspeicher neuer farbfelder

    Kann keine neuen Farbfelder abspeichern, geschweige denn sie in der Bibliothek unterzubringen, noch die Standardfarben zu löschen… Wäre schön wenn man das über ein plussymbol hinbekommen könnte… plus neuen Farbenamen als Kategorie in die man die neuen Farbfelder speichern kann und beim antippen der Kategorie die Möglichkeit in Bibliothek zu speichern…

14. Cannot modify Fill and Stroke color of objects

    Sometimes when the object is selected (think it is the select tool activated by A) I cannot modify the color of the stroke or fill. The popup menu that I usually use for this does not work.

15. Recolor - Color Theme Picker don’t work

    The Theme Color Picker doesn’t work when...
    In a document with artworks and images,

    1. Select artworks and click the Recolor icon, then go to Advanced Option.
    2. Enable [Open Advance Recolor Artwork dialog on launch]
    3. Quit Illustrator
    4. Open Illustrator
    5. Select artworks
    6. Click the Recolor icon in Control Panel
    7. Disable [Open Advance Recolor Artwork dialog on launch]
    8. Close the Recolor Windows
    9. With the Artworks still selected
    10. Click the Recolor icon in Control Panel again
    11. Click the Color Theme Picker
    12. Click on an image in the document

    Results: Nothing!

    To make it works again, we need to close the illustrator application and reopen it.

    This is in 2021 and also 2022.

16. Spot colour on non-print layer will appear in separations as CMYK

    1. Setup a spot colour

    2. Apply it to any object

    3. Set your layer to no printing

    4. Check the separations

    It shows the spot colour as CMYK.

    Until you set the layer to Print again.

17. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

    If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

    It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

    A comparison of my workflow below—

    Black Global Swatch:
    1. Remove all swatches from the file
    2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
    3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
    4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
    5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
    6. Select "OK"
    7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

    White Global Swatch:
    1. Remove all swatches from the file
    2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
    3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu

18. Color guide issue/bug

    When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.

19. Color discripancy between "View on CPU" and "View on GPU" on a Mac with M1 chip

    I'm now running AI on a macbook pro with M1 chip.
    I noticed that when I switching "View on CPU" to "GPU", all colors became whiter and inaccurate (images inserted in AI became much whiter than the objects created and colored in AI).
    I've checked my older Macbook pro with intel CPU and AMD graphic card, the colors keep the same and accurate when I switch from CPU to GPU.

20. Spot Colors in Linked or Embedded Images can be Renamed in Swatches Palette, breaking functionality

    Double clicking a spot swatch in the Swatches Palette allows you to rename the swatch. In past versions, Illustrator would not allow you to rename the spot swatch if it was used in a linked or embedded image. Now the spot swatch can be renamed whether or not it is used in an image. There is no warning that the spot being renamed is in use. After renaming the spot swatch, the Swatches Palette does not show the spot actually used in the image. Changing the color values of the spot swatch before renaming changes the appearance of the image, but it does not after renaming. After saving and reopening the file, both the original spot(used in the image) and the renamed spot swatch will be visible in the Swatches Palette.

    I've observed this behavior in the following installs:
    MacOS 11.5.2, Illustrator versions 25.3.1 & 25.4.1
    Windows 10, Illustrator version 25.2.1

    It is important that the Swatches Palette correctly reports the spot colors used in images. The renaming of a spot swatch used in an image breaks at least one of the save scripts we use in production. It also causes an error upon saving on machines with Esko plug-ins installed.
