1. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

   If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

   It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

   A comparison of my workflow below—

   Black Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
   5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
   6. Select "OK"
   7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

   White Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu

2. Color guide issue/bug

   When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.
   PLEASE FIX.

3. Color discripancy between "View on CPU" and "View on GPU" on a Mac with M1 chip

   I'm now running AI on a macbook pro with M1 chip.
   I noticed that when I switching "View on CPU" to "GPU", all colors became whiter and inaccurate (images inserted in AI became much whiter than the objects created and colored in AI).
   I've checked my older Macbook pro with intel CPU and AMD graphic card, the colors keep the same and accurate when I switch from CPU to GPU.

4. CMYK Files Colors are Displaying as RGB in Illustrator 2022 Version 26.0.1

   (Illustrator 2022) Open a new CMYK file, create a box, color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 "select the same CMYK color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 " (In Color Picker) that is clearly showing a darker color then what is behind the open select box.

   If this happens for you, make sure you have the same color settings setup in both versions (Edit > Color Settings).

5. Color Theme Picker works with problems

   After the Adobe Illustrator update (don't know if it was the last one in April 2021 or the previous one) Color Theme Picker in a new version of the Recolor Artwork tool stops working. Not only in my app but in the apps of at least 3 people - different OS, different computers. It just doesn't activate then you click the icon.

   The solution was found but it was very strange - you need to open Adobe Illustrator not directly on your computer but through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Then Color Theme Picker starts working. And continues to work if you reopen the app directly.

   We've found this solution by chance, 3 people tried to do this and this fixed the issue. But maybe something can be done from the side of developers to avoid such problems in the future.

6. Spot Colors in Linked or Embedded Images can be Renamed in Swatches Palette, breaking functionality

   Double clicking a spot swatch in the Swatches Palette allows you to rename the swatch. In past versions, Illustrator would not allow you to rename the spot swatch if it was used in a linked or embedded image. Now the spot swatch can be renamed whether or not it is used in an image. There is no warning that the spot being renamed is in use. After renaming the spot swatch, the Swatches Palette does not show the spot actually used in the image. Changing the color values of the spot swatch before renaming changes the appearance of the image, but it does not after renaming. After saving and reopening the file, both the original spot(used in the image) and the renamed spot swatch will be visible in the Swatches Palette.

   I've observed this behavior in the following installs:
   MacOS 11.5.2, Illustrator versions 25.3.1 & 25.4.1
   Windows 10, Illustrator version 25.2.1

   It is important that the Swatches Palette correctly reports the spot colors used in images. The renaming of a spot swatch used in an image breaks at least one of the save scripts we use in production. It also causes an error upon saving on machines with Esko plug-ins installed.

7. Dragging a gradient slider stop changes the opacity of other stops on the slider

   Hi all.
   Since I was asked by one of the Adobe employees, here's my post.
   Windows 10.

   I am getting seriously miffed. After using Illustrator ever since the nineties I can no longer do what I need so, so often: duplicating a color stop in a gradient while keeping the other stops as they are.

   Say I have the following:

   Stop 1 - position 0 - Opacity 0
   Stop 2 - position 25 - Opacity 100
   Stop 3 - position 75 - Opacity 100
   Stop 5 - position 100 - Opacity 0

   I need a zero opacity stop on position 50 and 'Alt-drag' the stop on either 0 or 100 to position 50 to copy it.
   This always worked, but no more.
   Instead, in the latest version it removes the opacity values from every stop it passes.

   If I 'Alt-drag' an opaque stop the same happens, all stops that used to be transparent are now fully opaque.
   It sometimes even affects stops in the vicinity, sigh.

   I can't work like this. I mean, I know workarounds, but I simply want to get on and work normally (fast). Can we hope for a speedy fix?

8. Pantone swatches being deleted even after adding them to the correct folder

   Our graphic users need to use additional Pantones in Adobe illustrator. In order to do that, they copy some Pantone files to the AI's Pantones folder on the local machine. When they open AI, they can see and use the Pantone. The problem is, that after they close the AI application, it the Pantone files being deleted automatically from the AI's pantone folder. Therefore, they copy the Pantones to the AI's folder each time they need to use it, which is very discouraging.

9. copy and paste random color change

   1.macbook pro 2021, big sur 11.4
   2. version 25.3.1

   within the same file, when I copy and paste an element, the fill is changing. the same issue does not occur when option dragging the drawing. it happens repeatedly. The fill that is changing is a colored pattern fill. It has happened with all "original" colorations (ie it does not only happen when using the light blue fill like in the movie. but they all change to the same yellow fill like in the movie.)

11. Tilde key to move a pattern within shape not working

    My Tilde/Graves accent key is no longer working to transform a pattern within an object. Normally, I can rotate or move around a pattern when I hold it down without moving the object. It hasn't worked since my last update.

12. Color changed automatically

    Posts screenshots of saved files every 3 days. It is a clipboard without any additional work. The color automatically darkens slightly. An ever-increasing problem is causing major problems with our schedules. Please come up with a way to solve it.

14. Blue is now purple

    When selecting a vibrant blue with the color-picker it shows it correctly and when it is applied it looks purple. (the color's HEX is correct though)

    This also happens when I drag&drop an image that has vibrant blue colors in it.

    Any ideas why this is happening?

15. Colour code changing Illustrator 25.4 BUG!

    When I put in a number on R G B example R88 G122 B27, it changes but then when I select another object and go back to double check the other object the colour has changed back to something else. See screen shot. I saved the colour in the pallete. The colour should have the same values as the name I want R88, G122, B27 but its value is different, its giving me a different colour value.

16. Imported objects loosing color from brush and swatch

    objects imported into another illustrator file loose their colors in both preview and swatches. We build items we produce by bring in standard objects that represent items we use over and over. Since the upgrade to 25.3.1, when we import those objects, the color is removed, does not happen in 25.2.3.

17. Colour values change on their own! Very frustrating

    Colours keep slightly changing over time, even as I am designing live inside a file!

    I will enter an exact CMYK or RGB value to match our brands colours, then these values will change slightly all on their own.

    I've been monitoring this for about 2 months now hoping this issue would be resolved in an update... but it hasnt been!

    This is a massive issue! Colours have to be stable!

    We need to be able to trust the program with things that are vital for a brand, like their COLOURS!

    The attached image shows -
    Top: is the original version of the design with correct colour values
    Bottom: shows the change in colour and colour values a few mins later (still live in file, no save/close)

    Colours keep slightly changing over time, even as I am designing live inside a file!

18. Color resets in Color Picker window, when cursor moves out of the window from an edge/corner

    In Photoshop, when we open the Color Picker window and are dragging the cursor over the color brightness area (the square which shows the different shades of the current color of the color wheel) and then while dragging, if we move out the cursor from any of the edges or corners of that square area, the color on the edge gets selected. That's the ideal behaviour.

    In Illustrator, when we drag out the cursor from a corner (For example, to select black color, I'd quickly drag out the cursor from the bottom left corner) Illustrator resets the color to the previously selected color instead of the color in the corner (in my case, black color).

    Please change this behaviour, and make it similar to how it is in Photoshop.

19. Attribution NUMÉRIQUE des couleurs

    I type it : " C 18 / M 98 / J 97 / N22 "

    I save.

    Then i open the color's details.

    I get : C 22,68 / M 97,9 / J 99,65 / N 17,56

    If i type EXACTLY a number, i want to get EXACTLY THIS NUMBER. And if i go to RGB and then come back to CMJN, I WANT EXACTLY THE NUMBER I TYPED. Why i typed this value ???? Cause i want THIS value. Not another.

20. Out of gamut color (click to correct) always sets to black #000000

    When clicking in the Color Picker, keeps defaulting to black instead of the color in CMYK gamut. Ai 25.4.1 macOS 11.5.2
