1. Fehlendes abspeicher neuer farbfelder

   Kann keine neuen Farbfelder abspeichern, geschweige denn sie in der Bibliothek unterzubringen, noch die Standardfarben zu löschen… Wäre schön wenn man das über ein plussymbol hinbekommen könnte… plus neuen Farbenamen als Kategorie in die man die neuen Farbfelder speichern kann und beim antippen der Kategorie die Möglichkeit in Bibliothek zu speichern…

2. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

   If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

   It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

   A comparison of my workflow below—

   Black Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
   5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
   6. Select "OK"
   7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

   White Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu

3. Global Color swatch copied into new document even if not used on element being copy/pasted.

   Problem: create a square with stroke=0 and fill=100% black. Copy and paste into new document and color swatches are okay. Now go to first document and add a Global Color swatch (i.e. Pantone Green) but don't add it to the square (so it's still stroke=0 / fill=100% black). Copy the square and paste it into a new document. For some reason, that Global Color (Pantone Green) swatch is added to the swatch palette of the new document. Now choose 'Select All Unused', the Pantone Green is selected to prove it's not being used in the element (square) you copy/pasted from the first document.

   Add to this: Add another Global Color (Pantone Purple) to the first doc but don't add it to the square. Copy/paste into another new document and only the second color swatch (Pantone Purple) is added to the new document.

   Now: Delete the first Global Color (Pantone Green) in the first doc. Copy/paste the square and add it to still another new document. You'll see a color swatch added called 'Deleted Global Color (Pantone Green)'.

   I just noticed this bug and posted it in the forums. Another user confirmed they see the same issue dating back several versions. This can be quite a problem when trying to move elements from one document to another.

5. CMYK Files Colors are Displaying as RGB in Illustrator 2022 Version 26.0.1

   (Illustrator 2022) Open a new CMYK file, create a box, color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 "select the same CMYK color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 " (In Color Picker) that is clearly showing a darker color then what is behind the open select box.

   If this happens for you, make sure you have the same color settings setup in both versions (Edit > Color Settings).

6. Pantone swatches being deleted even after adding them to the correct folder

   Our graphic users need to use additional Pantones in Adobe illustrator. In order to do that, they copy some Pantone files to the AI's Pantones folder on the local machine. When they open AI, they can see and use the Pantone. The problem is, that after they close the AI application, it the Pantone files being deleted automatically from the AI's pantone folder. Therefore, they copy the Pantones to the AI's folder each time they need to use it, which is very discouraging.

7. Color guide issue/bug

   When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.
   PLEASE FIX.

8. Saving to Creative Cloud is Changing My Patterns

   This has to do with repeating patterns. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021, desktop.
   Attached is a picture of 2 circles on a background (shield your eyes, it isn't pretty :-)). When I make the pattern - in this case, the circles were drawn with the blob brush - the inside of the 2 circles is empty and we can all see the background. It's a ring. When I pull that pattern out of swatches, however, it will color in that background. In this one, it's black. It changes depending on the pattern and the colors I'm using. And it is not consistent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it happens to just some motifs in a design and not others.
   After countless tries to figure out what it is, it does appear to be that patterns saved to Adobe's Creative Cloud will have this happen, whereas if I save it to my computer, it will not. Thank you for the help!

9. Color changed automatically

   Posts screenshots of saved files every 3 days. It is a clipboard without any additional work. The color automatically darkens slightly. An ever-increasing problem is causing major problems with our schedules. Please come up with a way to solve it.

10. Spot Colors in Linked or Embedded Images can be Renamed in Swatches Palette, breaking functionality

    Double clicking a spot swatch in the Swatches Palette allows you to rename the swatch. In past versions, Illustrator would not allow you to rename the spot swatch if it was used in a linked or embedded image. Now the spot swatch can be renamed whether or not it is used in an image. There is no warning that the spot being renamed is in use. After renaming the spot swatch, the Swatches Palette does not show the spot actually used in the image. Changing the color values of the spot swatch before renaming changes the appearance of the image, but it does not after renaming. After saving and reopening the file, both the original spot(used in the image) and the renamed spot swatch will be visible in the Swatches Palette.

    I've observed this behavior in the following installs:
    MacOS 11.5.2, Illustrator versions 25.3.1 & 25.4.1
    Windows 10, Illustrator version 25.2.1

    It is important that the Swatches Palette correctly reports the spot colors used in images. The renaming of a spot swatch used in an image breaks at least one of the save scripts we use in production. It also causes an error upon saving on machines with Esko plug-ins installed.

11. separation preview isnt working with eps files with the new update

    I used to place eps files into a new work space and the separation preview would show the color separation, the new update wont show any colors nor even cmyk like it used to before you places a linked image. how do i fix this issue? when an older version od ai is installed it works fine but the new update has stopped working

12. Color resets in Color Picker window, when cursor moves out of the window from an edge/corner

    In Photoshop, when we open the Color Picker window and are dragging the cursor over the color brightness area (the square which shows the different shades of the current color of the color wheel) and then while dragging, if we move out the cursor from any of the edges or corners of that square area, the color on the edge gets selected. That's the ideal behaviour.

    In Illustrator, when we drag out the cursor from a corner (For example, to select black color, I'd quickly drag out the cursor from the bottom left corner) Illustrator resets the color to the previously selected color instead of the color in the corner (in my case, black color).

    Please change this behaviour, and make it similar to how it is in Photoshop.

13. Attribution NUMÉRIQUE des couleurs

    I type it : " C 18 / M 98 / J 97 / N22 "

    I save.

    Then i open the color's details.

    I get : C 22,68 / M 97,9 / J 99,65 / N 17,56

    If i type EXACTLY a number, i want to get EXACTLY THIS NUMBER. And if i go to RGB and then come back to CMJN, I WANT EXACTLY THE NUMBER I TYPED. Why i typed this value ???? Cause i want THIS value. Not another.

14. Spot colour on non-print layer will appear in separations as CMYK

    1. Setup a spot colour

    2. Apply it to any object

    3. Set your layer to no printing

    4. Check the separations

    It shows the spot colour as CMYK.

    Until you set the layer to Print again.

17. copy and paste random color change

    1.macbook pro 2021, big sur 11.4
    2. version 25.3.1

    within the same file, when I copy and paste an element, the fill is changing. the same issue does not occur when option dragging the drawing. it happens repeatedly. The fill that is changing is a colored pattern fill. It has happened with all "original" colorations (ie it does not only happen when using the light blue fill like in the movie. but they all change to the same yellow fill like in the movie.)

18. Color blindness - Deuteranopia-type proof uses the incorrect Deuteranope confusion point.

    The Deuteranope confusion point was published as xy = (1.08, -0.08) in color vision texts circa 1970.

    However, the currently accepted Deuteranope confusion point is xy = (1.40, -0.40).

    Unfortunately, Adobe Illustrator appears to use the OLD confusion point in the Color blindness - Deuteranopia-type proof mode. As a result, the simulation is inaccurate and inconsistent with current vision science understanding.

    This may affect other Adobe products as well but I have not checked those. A comprehensive check should be performed to ensure the Deuteranopic confusion point is updated to the modern standard, xy = (1.40, -0.40) everywhere.

19. Dragging a gradient slider stop changes the opacity of other stops on the slider

    Hi all.
    Since I was asked by one of the Adobe employees, here's my post.
    Windows 10.

    I am getting seriously miffed. After using Illustrator ever since the nineties I can no longer do what I need so, so often: duplicating a color stop in a gradient while keeping the other stops as they are.

    Say I have the following:

    Stop 1 - position 0 - Opacity 0
    Stop 2 - position 25 - Opacity 100
    Stop 3 - position 75 - Opacity 100
    Stop 5 - position 100 - Opacity 0

    I need a zero opacity stop on position 50 and 'Alt-drag' the stop on either 0 or 100 to position 50 to copy it.
    This always worked, but no more.
    Instead, in the latest version it removes the opacity values from every stop it passes.

    If I 'Alt-drag' an opaque stop the same happens, all stops that used to be transparent are now fully opaque.
    It sometimes even affects stops in the vicinity, sigh.

    I can't work like this. I mean, I know workarounds, but I simply want to get on and work normally (fast). Can we hope for a speedy fix?

20. The colors in the closed file are persistently and almost forcibly trying to enter the palette.

    Let's say a spot color was used in a previous work and somehow copied. Later, when the file job is finished and I start another new job even though I have closed it, the copied color in the closed file persistently and almost forcibly tries to enter the palette. I tried to describe it simply in the video.
