RGB Bug
I can't create a file in CMYK color format...everything even previous files have been converted to rgb. HELP!!

Freeform gradient locking spot color
If you use a spot color in a freeform gradient the swatch becomes locked, so you can't change the name or merge/delete the swatch.
Additionally, If you use global color swatches in the freeform gradient and copy to a new document, the global color doesn't get added to the swatches palette - you have to save and reopen the file for the swatch to appear.

Double-click on swatch doesn't bring up swatch options anymore.

v24.2 swatches / pattern issues - either one or the other - different from fill drop down
in the latest version v24.2 (june2020) my swatches dissapeared and if i go to defaults RGB and click on the first (white) and last and then the last pattern in the block then click ADD TO SWATCHES and nothing happens or it only adds the last pattern.
i added one by one and it worked UNTIL i added a pattern and it erased all colour swatches and only left the patterns. this IS happening with the new update.

Transparency
When I select a line of type with the Type Tool it shows as 100% Normal Transparency, however if I select that same line of type with the Selection Tool it displays as Normal 100%. How is this possible?

RGB black from Indesign translates to CMYK black in Illustrator upon Copy + Paste
This is a bug and not an idea:
What I copy RGB black (0,0,0) vector artwork from Indesign to paste into Illustrator, the artwork always pastes in with a value equivalent to CMYK black (0,0,0,100). The copy/pasting is happening from one RGB document to another ("Web" document in Indesign / "RGB" document setup in Illustrator).
Please fix!

White
In. my company we can print the color White as a spot color. Our printer reacts on the name of the color "White".
Until a while ago it was no problem to add a White color swatch to Illustrator.
Now I get an error (see image).I don't know why it worked before and doesn't anymore.
May be it's possible to make Illustrator work like Indesign and change the name of the original white-swatch to Paper?

Color Shifting
In Illustrator CS5.5 I was able to adjust color swatches by increments (IE: Cyan: 0 to Cyan: .025). Now, the color picker will round the color to the nearest whole number or push the color to a different number. I've tried using the recoloring feature and I get the same situation. It will work sometimes, but will more often not work and just round the color up or down and not retain the value I have entered to CMYK. I always check if my file is set to CMYK because I am in the printing industry. Now, I can't hit…

Impossible to apply graphic style to text background by moment
I use lot of graphic style in my work, and I've to use it on text bloc (to create map mind per example)
But sometimes, the style (or the color directly) doesn't work on the background (selected with the white arrow). The color appears in the properties but nothing happen… I have to create a new bloc and It works normally (or not sometimes)… I really think it's a bug it will be very nice to correct it because I often use this trick in my work!
I use 24.0.2 on mac OSX Mojave

Color Swatch panel: stroke and fill color switcher missing
The double arrow for switching the stroke and the fill color is missing in the color swatches panel. It is there in the tools and it is there in InDesign but missing in Illustrator

Unable to apply gradient on Rectangle Box
Hi,
I am unable to apply a gradient color for my rectangle box when I use the Fill tool, I tried changing to a solid color to see if the problem lies with only the gradient, but i isn't setting a color at all.Could you please solve this bug issue as soon as possible as I am using Illustrator 2020.

Fill & Stroke colors & gradients selective but only previous fill visible on object
Latest Windows PC Version 10 64-bit. Adobe 2020 (24.0.2).
Everything was normal until I began drawing a regular 5-point star with green fill & black stroke (fill color doesn't really matter). Layer shows correct colors of star in layers panel but the layer folder and what's visible on screen show no change in red fill result (which was set previously). In other words, choosing different fill colors made no difference. However, stroke color can be changed. Tried other shapes with same results. (Even restarted Illustrator.)
Putting another shape on top of a previous shape caused the stroke of 2nd shape…1 vote -

Save as PDF in CC2020 cannot open with CC2014
I noticed if I was to save a PDF file in CC2020, a customer using CC2014 is unable to open it. I compared the PDF files to see how it is different.
If a PDF was saved using CC2014 it generates the colors like this:
[ /Separation /ATHLETIC#20GOLD /DeviceCMYK << /C0 [ 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 ]
But If a PDF was saved using CC2020 it generates the colors like this:
[/Separation/ATHLETIC#20GOLD/DeviceCMYK<</C0[0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0]Due to this settle difference, can this be the reason why the file is unable to open in CC2014?

Complicated Swatches not adding to palette
Working in Mojave 10.14.6 on a iMac 2017, 3.5Hz
I needed to alter a swatch I had made using vector artwork I have drawn, the swatch was created in Illustrator 2017, and though complex, had no issues being added to the swatch palette, or used. I had edited it a few times to get the elements into the right place and adding it back to the Swatch palette.
I tried editing in Illustrator 2020, which we have been running across our Macs fo the last few days, and it will not add back in. I can drag it out, but…1 vote -

Gradient panel causes bugs
The gradient panel really makes me nervous. On rare occasions when dropping a color onto a gradient handle to change it, Illustrator suddenly just closes without a warning. Just gone in a split second along with all my work. No auto save. Nothing. It even won't show my recently opened files when I open it back up. This issue also happened the last time Illustrator was updated but then it was fixed. Please fix it again as I'm always SUPER nervous when I have to change settings for a gradient. Can you help the Illustrator team to isolate this issue further so that we can nail this down?

1) Kindly provide some video , Test file(Via File→Package) & some steps with which you are facing issue
2) kindly also share your preferences folder with us in a zip file. You would be able to find the preferences folder in the below location:

Unable to Merge swatches, screen freezes
In latest version of Illustrator 2020, I am running the script that brings Swatch Conflict Dialog, which is ok but it does not allow me to merge swatches. I cannot select or change radio button selection. I have attached the screenshot of the dialog.

app.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevel.DONTDISPLAYALERTS;
This assumes the default option selected in the dialog and proceed with further script execution.
