  1. Shadows rasterized after reopening Illustrator file

    Shadow settings are lost and my shadows are feathered shapes after reopening AI. Please help thanksss

  2. Gaussian Blur does not scale. Frustrating

    Gaussian Blur does not scale when I scale an object with the effect applied.
    'Scale Strokes & Effects' is turned On.
    Really frustrated because it's such a simple thing to recalculate it. Fix asap!

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.2.3 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  3. Twist effect does not act on a group as a whole...

    When applying [Effects -> Distort and Transform -> Twist] to a group, the effect is applied on an individual object level and not on the group as a whole.

  5. Legacy blur lost when pasting into a new document.

    An object with a legacy blur loses it's setting when copying and pasting into a new document. The blur is still listed in appearance, but there is no value and effectively no blur.

  6. Appearance panel - Stroke on rectangle shape

    I have a rectangle shape in my appearance panel. When I try to add a stroke to it, I get a row saying "outline stroke" (underdotted as if it should be able to change) and popup tips saying "click to edit effect". But nothing happens when trying to click to open stroke settings. So I'm not sure if this is a bug, feature request or simply me doing it wrong. Anyway, it seams to be meant to work, if not it would be great if you could add things like strokes to these shape rectangles/circles.

  7. FreeForm Gradient point should also move on transforming Freeform Art

    Today I ran into a problem with Adobe Illustrator artwork featuring some freeform gradient fills. I had a to create flipped, mirrored version of it for printing purposes (graphics would be applied sub-surface to a sign face). The problem is the freeform gradient fills wouldn't flip with the rest of the artwork. I attached a visual example of it. Using the "expand appearance" command allowed for the artwork to be flipped 180° correctly. It would be nice if I could avoid that kind of a fix.

  9. Text with effects becomes a group of text and rendered raster image. Effect is no longer 'live'

    Text block is now a group with a raster image for the drop shadow. I have to reapply the drop shadow in order to correctly edit the text block.

  11. Neon glow

    Every time I try to change the color of the Neon Glow filter, it always goes back to black. I've tried a lot of different things, but nothing works. I looked on the internet if there's a way to fix it, but seems that everyone has the same problem with Neon Glow.

  12. Freeform Gradients won't load in complex object groups/compound paths

    In Illustrator 2019, freeform gradients were unable to render in complex compound paths. I was attempting to add a freeform gradient within a compound path/grouped object set of leaves (about 20) of various shapes and sizes. I had used compond paths to add a freeform gradient to two objects previously (although with a few bugs - see bug titled "Illustrator 2019 Freeform Gradient and compund paths not quite right" in Other...), expecting the gradient to render. Although it sounded as though my computer was working hard to process the effect, nothing rendered after 5 minutes and so I gave up,…

  13. 3d extrude and bevel problem

    I am using windows 10 and Illustrator wont do a 3d extrude or bevel and says not enough memory when there us enough memory.

  14. Stroke with gradient: overprinting attribute not set

    When a stroke with a gradient is set to overprinting, the overprinting attribute is not set anymore when reopening the file.

    Attached is a screenshot of an example.

    We are using CC 2018 and CC 2017, on Mac OS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 on various machines.

  15. Freeform Gradient doesn't transform correctly High Sierra (macOS 10.13)

    Freeform Gradient points should transform relative to path. Gradient does not transform as expected.

  16. 3D Extrude and Bevel - Rough color transitions

    The 3D extrude and bevel doesn't seem to handle transitions between curved surfaces and straight surfaces well. There's a very rough color transition in the resulting 3D render where one would expect a smooth transition. See attached for an example.

  18. transform effect negative numbers

    This has been a problem for a long time -- not just the current version of Illustrator. When applying a transform effect to an object and using the "move" part of the effect, negative numbers get converted to positive numbers. Occasionally I can "fool" the effect by not previewing the results but that doesn't work often. This happens whether I type in the numbers by hand or use the slider.

  19. Revolve Effect - Object Appearance Error "CANT"

    Windows 10 Home - 64bit.
    Illustrator CC18. 22.1

    When selecting Effects> Revolve on an object (a semi-circle) I get the error:

    "The operation cannot be completed because of an unknown error. [CANT]"
    Followed by another dialogue box:
    "An error occurred while processing the appearance of an object."

    What's going on here?

  20. Drop shadow rendering/applying inaccurately

    BUG: Drop Shadow Effect is rendering or being applied inaccurately (see screenshot)

    This is constant between multiple files.
