"unknown filter error" when importing variables which have multiple links within the document
"unknown filter error" when importing variables which have multiple links within the document.
Reproduce:
1. make a document with variables. I have a mix of image and text but I don't think it matters.link multiple document objects to one variable, as is allowed within illustrator
try to update the variable library with a CSV that has the same structure just different values (average use case)
You should get a dialog warning that variable sets need to be overwritten blah blah click ok and then the error pops up. Probably forgot a nested loop would be my completely uneducated guess.

The software crashes very often
The software crashes every few minutes and for no apparent reason

Measurement labels cannot be deactivated
In "preferences" the option to disable "Measurement labels" does not work: they always remain active. It needs to be fixed because it is very annoying when drawing. Thank you.

my cursor is showing a black arrow all the time and doesn't show the tool that I am using
All the tools are working perfectly but instead of the cursor showing the tool I am using, it shows a black arrow all the time. I tried to reinstall Adobe but with the problem persists. Attached you can see two screenshots of me selecting two different tools but the cursor remains with the black arrow. thanks

Its really frustrating... I cant save ai file in local drive nor save as PDF.

Illustrator 27 Objects are rasterized when pasted from the buffer history

Mac mini M1When I paste a vector object from the history of the clipboard it is pasted as a raster object. This bug is contained in versions 27.1.1 and 27.2 (Beta)
I use the program for Clipboard Manager "Unclutter".
Because of this bug, it is impossible to use the program normally

Right click pop-up context menu box stuck in the bottom left corner of the screen
This issue started when I upgraded to Mac OS Monterey. Unfortunately, I cannot downgrade. I am using a 2018 MacBook Pro 15.6 laptop. I use a 27" 4k external monitor, but the issue occurs with the monitor and the laptop screen. The right-click menu box issue does not happen with any of the other Adobe programs. I have deleted prefs, uninstalled and installed illustrator, zapped the PRAM, and installed an older version of illustrator with no change. I understand Monterey is a beta now but is there a fix or setting to fix this problem? I appreciate your help in…

Lenovo Ideapad opens Display settings instead of Align panel when Shift + F7 is pressed
Help. I can't use the shortcuts properly. I press shift + f7 to open the align tool but it keeps open the display setting pop-up of the laptop.

online forums suggested quitting safari, which did not work
quitting everything else did not work either

와콤타블렛 PTH 660 연결시 일러스트레이터 다운 후 복구창으로
와콤타블렛 PTH-660을 연결(블루투스나 USB연결 모두)하여 일러스트레이터를 사용시 어느정도 시간이 지나면 자동으로 일러스트레이터가 종료되고 다시 일러스트레이터를 실행시키면 복구할 파일을 복구하라는 팝업창이 뜬채로 실행됨. 한두번이 아니고 계속적으로 발생하기에 타블렛을 사용할 수가 없을 정도임. 충돌 문제 검토 부탁드립니다.
일러스트레이터 최신업데이트 버전이며, 폰트관련 부분도 체크가 완료되었고, 아울러 초기화도 여러번 해봤으나 해당 증상은 계속되고 있습니다.1 vote -
Embedding linked images scales them down to 24% in the links panel
- Windows 11 Pro
- Illustrator v 26.5
- When I place a linked image at 100% scale, the links panel shows it scaled at 100% which I would expect. When I go to embed that same image, the links panel shows that it's scaled at 24%. The image itself doesn't visually shrink, but the links panel changes the information for some reason.
- I expect the links panel to show 100% scale when the image gets embedded. I don't understand how it's scaled at 100% when linked, but 24% when embedded, when all of the file information is the same as when linked.

Cannot copy from one layer and. paste to another....
After the latest update, copy and paste between layers is wonky. If I copy an item from one layer, it will only paste back into that layer. If I make the source layer hidden and try to paste, I get the "attempting to paste to locked/hidden layer" warning. I can select an object, then drag the small box that shows up in the layers panel to a new layer, but this is a bit awkward....
4 votesThis behavior is most probably cause by Paste Remembers Layers option, accessible in the Layers panel’s flyout menu.
When it’s enabled, Illustrator tries to paste copied objects into their original layers.
If the option it disabled, but it still does not work as you want it to, please reply back.

Image Trace make the app freezing (Version: 27.3.1.629)
When you click on image trace, the tracing list option not appear, and also make the software freeze.
This bug appear since I upgrade to the current latest version which is 27.3.1.629

Imagens, letras, preenchimentos e fontes sumiram
Ao aproximar o scroll do mouse na prancheta o arquivo do illustrator travou, e não suportou realizar a aproximação na imagem. Texto, preenchimentos, imagens, tudo sumiu no meu arquivo. E quando desligo e reinicio o arquivo ele continuar nesse formato corrompido.

Regression in version 27.0 - SVG tspan not handled correctly
Hello
When I place the following SVG
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" viewBox="0 0 500 500" width="500" height="500"><text><tspan>60</tspan></text></svg>
And then try to export the object back to SVG, I get
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="36.86" height="39.2" viewBox="0 0 36.86 39.2"/>
The tspan content is gone.
Without the tspan it works ok. It also works fine in AI 26.5
The example is an extract from a larger SVG object created through the Datylon plugin
Seems like an AI regression bug. Any chance it will be fixed in later versions?

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

File > Place doesn’t work
The shortcut key to place something on artboard i.e Shift+Ctrl+P is not working

Square brackets hotkeys don’t work when input language is non-English
If you have default [ and ] keys set for Increase/Decrease Diameter, you have to have English input language set to make these work (at least on Windows).
In Russian these keys on a keyboard occupied with 'х' (Russian 'ha') and 'ъ' (Russian hard sign). Pressing them does not change the diameter.
But these do work in Photoshop, and basically elsewhere... except for Illustrator.
Sam happens for other input languages like Turkish, and for other commands, like Arrange (Bring / Sent Froward / Back).

Artboard duplication messes up masks
Masks linked, all objects unlocked, drag to copy artboard and content leaves mask messed up on OLD/ORIGINAL artboard. Please fix.
