1. pen tool game

   This game has been a valuable resource for teaching Illustrator. However, the game has been broken now, and Adobe do not seem to care or register the problem.

   The resources you provide to teach and support products are an important part of the package. It does not look good to see such neglect of what was an excellent idea.

   I would even like to see more of these interactive learning experiences, as it is more engaging and useful than most other types such as videos.

   Obviously there is some maintenance of a web game, but it should be easy to manage for a software company.

2. Shortcuts not working, update cc 2018

   I was using CC fine the other day, and now I've updated to the latest version (2018) none of my shortcuts are working, only the space bar works for moving around - very frustrating since it takes away my whole workflow and adds loads of time to creating something very simple!

3. cant sign in to creative cloud

   i open a project i was working on and and i didn't have the font, it prompted me to sign in to creative cloud and when i did it adobe app tries to open but cant.

4. Fix Illustrator freezing and crashing

   I'm using Illustrator CC 2013.5. Illustrator freezes and ultimately crashes about 7 minutes after opening the program. Have to close the program using Task Manager. Uninstall/reinstall did not fix it.

5. [PARM] error?

   I have Windows 7, 64bit, running Illustrator CC and all of a sudden today I am not able to use the text tool and when I try to use the select tool on certain areas of the file the error message comes up that I attached to this.

6. Illustrator doesn't find color profile, which are shown in Indesign

   Hi everybody,

   I installed an eci color profile (pso-coated_v3) on my windows 10 computer (right-mouse-click, then install). In Photoshop CC and Indesign CC everything is fine, so it is installed correctly. But the new profile isn't shown in Illustrator CC.

   I reopened Illustrator and also de- and reinstalled it...

   Does anybody has got an idea, why the new profile doesn't show in in the color-settings of Illustrator?

   An installed color profile can be accessed and used like this:

   Edit > Color Settings: Working Spaces, CMYK: choose the profile you need.

   Then go to Edit > Assign Profile and set it.

7. Align Stroke isn't allowing me to place stroke on outside or inside of line on certain items.. Both options are greyed out.

   Since latest update, Align Stroke isn't allowing me to place stroke on outside or inside of the line on certain items. I'm noticing this on both text and vector objects with "holes".

8. Clipping path in psd file does't work in Illustrator.

   On macOS Sierra (Illustrator CC 2018).

   Clipping path of psd file does't work in Illustrator CC 2018.
   The full of the psd image was shown in Illustrator, ignoring its clipping path.
   Same problem has occured in older versions of Illustrator (probably CC or later).

   There are two conditions for this problem to occur.
   One is that the name of the clipping path has Japanese characters.
   And the other is that a Mac's system language is set to English.

   As a test, I tried to change my Mac's system language to Japanese from English, this problem was solved.
   Or changing the name of the clipping path using only english charactor, this was also solved.

   But it's hard to do this every time,
   Ideally clipping path with Japanese (or the other Non-English) name should work anytime regardless of what the system language is.

9. AIGPUSNIFFER doesn't quit

   Version 21.1.0

   When quitting illustrator the AIGPUSNIFFER process continues to run, even though it should terminate, unless the task is manually ended in task manager. This is a huge issue considering it puts CPU usage at a high level which consequently affects battery life.

10. outline - filled shape bug

    If I fill the new shape with color it doesn´t really work. I get a straight outline istead of a curve. Additionally there is a difference between outline view and colored view.

12. Stock Single Action Download?

    There's no forum for Stock Photos so I decided to post here - Why is downloading an Adobe Stock image not at least a double-action before downloading? I went to see more of a photo, miss-clicked and before I could stop it, the image started downloading and I was minus one image credit for an image I can't use. Tech support told me they would issue a "one-time" image credit, but this reeks of opportunism. If the system had simply asked me if I was sure I wanted to download I would have declined, but it started automatically on an errant click. This is a flaw that needs to be fixed.

13. Application crash when copy/pasting SVG paths

    I have several logos that were created in Inkscape and saved in SVG format that I now need to edit in Illustrator. However even after re-saving them as AI files, any attempt to copy/paste any part of the SVG paths from the logo results in an immediate application crash.

    Adobe Illustrator CC (latest) Windows 10 64bit

    Steps:
    1. Open the attached AI file (which was converted from SVG by opening then saving in Illustrator).
    2. Select any part of the logo.
    3. Copy using Edit -> Copy or CTRL+C
    4. Paste using Edit -> Paste or CTRL+V
    5. The application will crash immediately or very shortly afterwards.

14. Crashes on "Cancel" in Keyboard Shortcuts Window

    1. Illustrator CC 2017 (21.1.0)
    2. Pressed "Cancel" in the Keyboard Shortcuts window.
    3. Expected Keyboard Shortcuts window to close without saving changes.
    4. Illustrator crashes

    No plugins installed.

    Removing preferences resolves the bug, but something in the process of re-setting my preferences makes the bug return.

15. Illustrator stops working and closes

    This is simple enough, and I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to, but this has been happening for years, every time I get started I do about an hour of work then its complains it has stopped working and closes! No save option, no autosave, no back up, nothing!

    A very simple way to fix this, have an autosave!

18. Crash with AI Files and link broken

    When i opening a files ai who have broken links with a files on a another not connected hard drive, illustrator CC 2019 crash and i can't opening this files, but with a another pc and another version i delete the missing links and when i've try again to open it on my pc it's working again.

    so i think it's when a fils have a broken links that crash the software.

    Come on now! I am in AI and open a file to work on when a popup appears telling me that a new version of AI is available. However, when the update 'button' is selected nothing happens! There used to be a check for updates under Help yet that does not exist anymore. When it did exist it worked. So what is gong on now? More frustration with AI!

20. Possible Bug - Crop Image Auto Resizing Crop Box in New CC Illustrator 2019

    I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just a poorly executed new feature, but in the new Illustrator CC 2019 when you have a raster image in the file and you go to "Crop Image" the crop marquee automatically changes to a random size and shape instead of remaining at the edges of the image. I'm not sure if there is some hidden feature where it is trying to automatically detect where you might crop the image to by detecting the image edges, but this is super annoying when you are trying to do something like just adjusting the image dpi.
    It was perfectly fine in the last version. The only thing that could improve is that when you adjust the image dpi it would add white edges to some sides of the image. It would be nice if it would be more like the image size adjustment in photoshop. Or if it simply had a feature like in InDesign where you can choose to edit the image in photoshop and when you exit out it updated the image in the illustrator file.

    You are referring to the content aware crop feature: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html#ContentAwareCrop

    To turn this feature off please visit the Preference dialog (CMD+K) and turn off “Enable Content Aware defaults”

    If I may suggest a workflow for you.
    1. Use linked images, they not only are fast but also save disk space.
    2. If you already have embedded images in your file, please use the unembed feature of Illustrator to export and link files automatically for you.
    3. All linked images have this feature of Edit Original where you can edit images in a software of your choice like Photoshop.
    4. If you have to share files to other users please make use of File menu>Package feature to collect everything including linked images and fonts in one directory.
