Text edits have no undo, do not trigger file as updated
When editing a block of text. Back delete key does not work and forward delete key deletes from start of block instead of cursor/insertion point. Text has to be highlighted to be deleted. Undo for deleted text is unavailable. Document does not indicate any changes and can be closed without a save dialog and thus losing edits.

Cursor disapears when against text frame
Cursor can not be seen when at the beginning of a sentence as it blends in with text box. Please make text cursor larger/wider.

Transform the Height of a Font Object issues
masOS High Sierra - Illustrator 23.0.2

Keyboard arrows when typing in the Text Tool
When typing within the text tool, my keyboard arrow keys fail to move the cursor between chars.

Text Objects become unresponsive
I'm encountering an issue where text objects will become unresponsive to direct selection. They behave like they have been locked but they haven't been, and using unlock all does nothing. The only way I've found to move them is by doing a broad drag select and gathering up multiple text objects at once. This will sometimes cause the text object to display it's bounding box. At this point I can deselect each of the other objects that were selected along with it and be left with just the problem object. Trying to move the object with the cursor will put…

If you drag paragraph styles in the window to order, you cannot click on styles again.

Adobe illustrator does not display acute mark for cyrillic fonts
Illustrator does not display acute mark for cyrillic characters. I can copy and paste something like "коты́" from EditText or from web browser, but in illustrator document acute will not displayed no matter which font will be used.
This is very strange bug, because acute marks works in font selector preview (see screenshot)

Extended top and bottom of glyphs of variable fonts are not rendered
Vertically long glyphs with variable font are not rendered at the top and bottom. Please see attached file.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

New text box appearing on clicking in current text box
When you click in a text box with the type tool, it'll create a new text box unless you click on the actual word you want to modify. Or if you are trying to add something to the end of your text and click like a millimeter off the letter, it'll create a new text box.
This is super annoying and I'm not quite sure why this function is necessary. It didn't use to be like this until the last update. Please look at this for the next update for those who use a lot of text in Illustrator.

1)Is this Issue still happening on your machine on Latest version 23.0.3 ?
2)Can you kindly provide Test File via (File→Package)and open Info Panel & provide some video while repeating steps with which you are facing this issue and share with us.

Font drop down menu disappears
Whenever I select the font drop down menu, and I'm going through the fonts I have, it just randomly disappears as I'm looking through the fonts to find the one I want to use, although I can still use my arrow keys to go through the list even though the drop down menu isn't on my screen.

Reverting Text to default State after Live Preview of character properties
I'm on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2 and Illustrator CC 22.0.1
Text will randomly hide bounding boxes, apply tracking to text not selected, and refuse to apply adjustment to selected text. Closing the document and re-opening normalize things temporarily, but above behaviors come back.
All CC apps seem laggy and unstable after 2018 updates.

Fonts not synching across licenses on two laptops
My fonts (not from typekit) aren't synching across the licenses of two laptops - so if I want to work on a file from Dropbox I can't as the fonts are missing on the laptop I didn't create the file on. Defeats the purpose of being able to have AI on two laptops.

An installed font doesn’t get found when its name is typed in a search field
I'm missing fonts that used to show up in my list. What happened to my favorites? I started typing the missing font name in search and it showed up briefly and then disappeared. From then on every time I tried to search for it again the cursor jumped around and started typing nonsense.

text change when opening in Illustrator CC 2019
Illustrator 23.0.1 on Mac OS 10.12.6
I have issues when I open a document that was created in Illustrator CC2017 in CC 2019. It seems that the text spacing is different, so sometimes some characters are changing to the next line!

Vectorise text doesn't work on text mask
There's a bug in Illustrator (all versions MacOS 10.12.6):
when there's a non-vectorised text mask in a file and you do select all -> vectorise text, the non-vectorised text mask will not be vectorised.
Then when you re-open the file on a computer without the active fonts, it won't give you a warning that there's a missing font!
Only when you click on the mask it will say that there's a font missing.1 vote -
Type Tool Craziness
The latest update to Illustrator CC seems to have completely rendered the type tool useless. It's not stable, it has trouble selecting text. It has trouble staying active. Is this a compatibility issue with the touch pad? If need be, I can create a screen recording of all the craziness it's doing.

Wrong font preview for RTL languages
There are a few problems with the new fonts preview in the last version of Illustrator.
1. Even though 'Selected Text' preview option is selected the preview shows first five Hebrew alphabet letters instead.
2. This happens weather the text box is selected or the text itself.
3. Sometimes the 'Selected Text' preview is shown. In those cases it's shown backwards (LTR instead of RTL).This happens in spite of the fact that the text box is marked as a 'Hebrew' one and 'RTL Arabic' digits is selected.

Not all the fonts have all the glyphs available with them to show the preview. For the fonts where glyphs are not available, we show the default sample preview (that’s why you get first five glyphs for those fonts)
