Unable to uncheck Type Pref Indic options & Fill object with placeholder text on preference migration from 22.1
- MacOS Sierra ; Illustrator CC 23.0.1
- I'm trying to get the punctuation right while typing in Hindi, but I can't select "Indic Options". I went to Preferences>Type>Language Options. I can select "Show East Asian Options" but i can't seem to select "Show Indic Options" which is a bug.
- I expected to type correctly in Hindi
- I can't type in Hindi with the right punctuation and I'm on a strict deadline! Help

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Kerning on extended selections can only be set to Auto or 0
This is back in 23.0.1 - fix this for good already Adobe

Text Boxes & resizing objects in Illustrator Behaving Strangely
This might be difficult to explain, but at the moment, when pasting text within Illustrator (it can be from a different artboard within the doc, or from a different Illustrator doc, or Word, basically it doesn't seem to matter where the text comes from) or if just create a new text box and type within it, and try to resize the box, it seems to create more text boxes within the main box, and the text would 'snap' into the smaller box. can't copy Text from Illustrator to word (presumably since cc 2017). The paste is always empty.

Text content differs from "path" preview to print preview
Text content differs from "path" preview (Cmd Y) to print preview (or GPU). In my example, the word "Optipro" appears at the GPU Preview and disappears when I use the Cmd Y preview.

Cursor disapears when against text frame
Cursor can not be seen when at the beginning of a sentence as it blends in with text box. Please make text cursor larger/wider.

Wrong font preview for RTL languages
There are a few problems with the new fonts preview in the last version of Illustrator.
1. Even though 'Selected Text' preview option is selected the preview shows first five Hebrew alphabet letters instead.
2. This happens weather the text box is selected or the text itself.
3. Sometimes the 'Selected Text' preview is shown. In those cases it's shown backwards (LTR instead of RTL).This happens in spite of the fact that the text box is marked as a 'Hebrew' one and 'RTL Arabic' digits is selected.

Not all the fonts have all the glyphs available with them to show the preview. For the fonts where glyphs are not available, we show the default sample preview (that’s why you get first five glyphs for those fonts)

Text missing in SVG files
This is the first time trying to use Illustrator since it updated to the newest version (23.0.1) and updating my Mac to High Sierra (10.14). I have previously used Illustrator to edit SVG files, specifically the text in those files. When I open similar SVG files in the new Illustrator, all of my text is missing. My computer is due for a small update which will go through later tonight but this seems like a bug within Illustrator. spell check english
My Illustrator is set to default language English USA but it always does spell check in Spanish. I make sure that it is checked for English in the character tab, but even after changing it to English, my spell check goes back to Spanish. I am running Illustrator CC 2019, 23.0

23.0.1 Windows 10: Toggle leading up and down in Character Palette unexpected behaviour
When the leading is set to (Auto), using the up/down arrow UI buttons in the character palette to change the leading results in weird leading sizes. Toggling up from Auto using the up arrow in the UI produces a leading of 1 pt. Toggling down from Auto produces a leading of 1295 pts!

font finder/Missing font box keeps loading and unable to activate missing fonts
Find Font box not working. Example i am missing fonts and when i open that menu it shows the fonts used in the document but the missing ones just have a loading circle next to it and it never stops.
Also the Missing font box. When i do have the fonts and want to Activate them they will never activate, It just loads for 10mins and stops with out loading the fonts.

Leading bug (Character panel)
There seems to be a leading bug in the latest version. The leading automatically created is usually too spaced vertically, or creating a text area creates pseudo-Latin lines of text that are on top of each other.

Paragraph Styles reverting back
Adobe for MacOS version 23.01
I updated a paragraph style I've been using since the last version. So when I save the document it reverts some of the paragraphs to the previous paragraph style.

Text Objects become unresponsive
I'm encountering an issue where text objects will become unresponsive to direct selection. They behave like they have been locked but they haven't been, and using unlock all does nothing. The only way I've found to move them is by doing a broad drag select and gathering up multiple text objects at once. This will sometimes cause the text object to display it's bounding box. At this point I can deselect each of the other objects that were selected along with it and be left with just the problem object. Trying to move the object with the cursor will put…

Text not refreshing when making changes to a text box. I turned off GPU performance and the problem persists.

Selected font in CC2018 doesn't stick
Problem when I opened a type sample page I made with Universal News with Commercial Pi, and almost all characters became the rectangle with X inside. I can select the block, then UNwCP and I can see the text changing as I select the face . . . but when I leave the Character pallet, the field blanks.
Also, if I select one character and type over it, the face becomes Minion. In the sample, see 8, 9, and zero.
Similarly, in InDesign, I can select a single character and then UNwCP, and the pallet changes to New Century Schoolbook…
