Style Sheets
In Illustrator CC (Latest version and several previous) on Mac:
- BUG 1: Copying text with a Paragraph and/or Character Style applied and pasting it into a new text box adds a "+" to the end of every applied style, effectively breaking every bit of formatting that has been done. (Every style must be reapplied to the text to make the text update when the Styles are updated).BUG 2: When Staggered margins are set while editing the Style Sheet (e.g. a 20px Left indent and a -10px First Line indent), clicking on the "Tabs" tab, wipes out all newly…

Text size is not the same size as I set it
How do I get illustrator cc 18 which I pay per month for, to apply text size the same size on the monitor as I pick in the layout?? If I put in for instance .50 size text it will be approx. .375 on the monitor or my layout. This is aggravating. It is something I am doing wrong or HOW DO I CORRECT THIS SO IT WILL BE THE SAME SIZE AS I CHOOSE. THANKS Jerry L. Evans Kokomo, Indiana. I had illustrator 6 on disk I purchased and had no problems like this.

New text box appearing on clicking in current text box
When you click in a text box with the type tool, it'll create a new text box unless you click on the actual word you want to modify. Or if you are trying to add something to the end of your text and click like a millimeter off the letter, it'll create a new text box.
This is super annoying and I'm not quite sure why this function is necessary. It didn't use to be like this until the last update. Please look at this for the next update for those who use a lot of text in Illustrator.
Thank…

font favorite
Adobe Illustrator CC 22.1
I updated my Illustrator App, and of course, I had to migrate all my templates over to the new CC2018 folder. Why do you make us do this EVERY update?
Additionally, ALL of my Favorited fonts were lost. Ive spent so much time sifting through my fonts to favorite fonts in each class. Now, after the cc2018 update, all of my favorite font filters are gone. Why would you reset our font filters on this update? It seems you guys come out with more bugs than features in all of the Adobe CC software I use,…

Text Formatting Bug
Adobe Illustrator 22.1 (64-bit)
Typing text within a single text box that requires different font styles formatting.
While editing the text within the text box, in the last version (Illustrator 21), I could change up the font style of a font family and continue typing.
But, in the updated version, if I change the font style (i.e. roman, bold, italic) I have to click back into the text box to continue typing. In addition, the change in formatting does not apply once clicked back into said text box. This requires me to type out whatever needs to be typed out…

Font Suggestion/Preview Font NOT Working on MAC's
I select a text box on my art board and go to the character palette to change the font. I was able to use the arrow keys up and down and see the font change on the art board. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
Or I was able to start typing a font name into the Character Palette and suggestions would pop up. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
I find this very irritating and a difficult way to work. This only happens on my MAC, my PC still works.
Can anyone help me with…

Unwanted characters appearing when outlining text.
When using Type > Create Outlines, there is a chance of unwanted characters appearing.
Attached is a file where the error is reproducible. Notice how an additional "d" and "g" appear with you outline the text.
This file was created using Ai CC v22.0.1 and according to forum posts ive found, this issue has existed since CS4 or possibly earlier.

missing fonts logged in error
When I open a document with missing fonts, the 'resolve missing fonts' screen keeps telling me I'm currently logged out of Creative Cloud, and to go to "help/log in". This despite the fact I'm logged in, and going to "help" shows my account name and logged in status..

Character Panel doesn´t change fonts name
AI version: last one, 22.0.1
I typed the same words in 10 different fonts (all Google fonts), and they all look different of course, but when selecting them a second time, the font shown in the Character panel was always the same. I closed Illustrator and then it worked for few minutes, then the same issue appeared again.4 votesPlease accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Illustrator CC 22.0.1 Type Anti-Aliasing Issue
Illustrator CC 22.0.1 Type Anti-Aliasing Issue
1. The dropdown menu in the type window for anti-aliasing options is disabled seemingly at random.- The anti-aliasing dropdown menu in the type window allows me to designate a render setting to one type selection however, this setting also seemingly applies to all type on the document (i.e. I cannot apply "Sharp" to one text block and "Strong" to another).
4 votesNot sure this still happens with the latest builds. Can you check if this is still a problem?

Issues with changing font type
I am using Illustrator 22.0.1 to design a logo. I've tried this on both my MacBook Pro and on my iMac and had the same thing happened:
With the document open, I double-clicked on of the words to get the Type panel to open on the right. I then made my selection with the Type tool and then clicked the font drop down menu to change the font and started scrolling.
I need to be able to scroll through the font dropdown menu to browse the fonts so I can make a selection.
Instead, the font menu bugs out and…

warped text
Trying to change font size after text has been Warped in Illustrator is not working correctly. It's just warping the text further, & not making it smaller.

Text block cursor not indicating the actual cursor location.
Text block cursor not indicating the actual cursor location.
This has happened a few times to me, but is not consistent. When editing text in a type block I use the pointer to hi light the area where changes are required but the changes occur at a different point in the text.
I have attached an image to clarify this - the black editing block is hi lighting the additional space I intend to delete but the actual character deleted is a few characters away (in this case the letter 'f' which shows with a blue edit line in this…5 votes
