  1. Display not being refreshed, scrolling through Artwork while zoomed in and dragging an object

When I have zoomed into my artwork and drag an object - for example draw a rectangle or line that reaches the end of the window while dragging, the artboard scrolls, but the image is not refreshed. Only the ruler shows me, that I am scrolling... Even when I stop dragging and release the mousebutton, the image is not fully refreshed. Otherwise: when I drag the Marquee-Tool to the end of the window, scrolling starts and the image gets constantly refreshed while dragging. This is the way I would normally expect it to be, regardless of the the Tool I…

  2. Fill Glitches when Previewing with the GPU

I work for a printing company, and we see this sort of glitch a lot. We also see it in the same design over multiple different systems so this must be an Illustrator issue rather than a compatibility problem with our graphics cards.

When rendering with the GPU, fill colors will extend out past the shape bounds. When we switch to render with the CPU, the glitch disappears. See the example attached.

This is a problem for us. We are losing production time because our printers on the floor see this and assume its an error with the artwork and…

  3. multi-GPU setups cause Illustrator to glitch out and become unresponsive

I've got a two-GPU computer. If I'm using GPU preview mode, after working for a while (around 20-30 mins or more), the entire Illustrator UI will glitch out and become very artifact-y and unresponsive, and I can no longer work on the files I've got open, necessitating a restart of the app.

This started happening right after I upgraded from one GPU to two, about a year ago. It happens only in GPU preview mode, not CPU. I've tried updating GPU drivers, updating Illustrator itself--nothing fixes the problem. I've seen other people online with multi-GPU setups say the same thing…

  4. GPU performance

GPU performance in iMac 27" 5k with AMD Radeon R9 M380 2 GB
turns colors to a pale tone.

Using CPU preview turns back the vivid colors but it slows down the performance.

Any clue how to fix this?

I'm using the latest update of Mojave and Illustrator v. 23.0.1

  5. GPU Stroke Rendering Issue

OS: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Build 17G5019
    2 x Xeon E5-2690 v4 CPUs (don't ask ;) )
    64 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8191 MB
    GPU Driver Version: 387.10.10.10.40.122
    CUDA Driver Version: 418.105

Hi, I noticed a small rendering issue with strokes in GPU mode. The boundaries seem to be somewhat inaccurate, to the point that in certain situations (regardless of whether or not they're joined and by any method), suck as a tee shape, a small bulge of one stroke can appear beyond the edge of another, even though they shouldn't.

See attached pictures, the problem area is…

  7. GPU continues to randomly turn only white to black (not inverting!)

an ongoing issue with CC is the random and unprovoked flipping of Black to white on screen. Only the color white does this. This is not a case of color being inverted. It is only white in a file that suddenly turns black and then needs to be closed and reopened to fix.

  8. An edge of an objects is not aligned with its fill

Color Fill is not inside the smart guides. It has been happening more and more often. I do not know if an update has changed a setting or what. Color is filling outside of the guides and it is making our screen printing seps take longer and longer to go in an visually align everything. not to mention creating an underbase taking longer due to having to fix areas where colors are overlapped or not overlapped. running 23.0.1

  10. Uneven stroke

Newest version of Illustrator has now changed my .001 cut size of a stroke in some places from a clean thin line to a jagged mess. Some of the former .001 lines are still unchanged? These are shared with clients and look horrible!
    Running on Windows 10.

  11. New preview mode

BUG in the new CC 2019 Version. Preview mode forces it's way for some reason during use. Screen becomes blank- only a restart brings back document.

  12. mouse scroll zoom is broken when in pixel preview mode (PC)

I just updated to Illustrator 2019 on a windows 10 PC

Given I have any size project open
And my "zoom to selection" preferences are on or off
When I turn on pixel preview view mode
    And I have alt selected
And I use my mouse to zoom in and out
Then zoom chooses a random center point to anchor it's zoom

I have no issues when in "over print preview" mode, or when using my keyboard in "pixel preview" mode.

  13. GPU Preview displaying hidden shapes

In GPU Preview, turning off the visibility of a shape in the layers panel doesn't always hide the shape - it still remains on screen.
If I switch to Outline view the shape is hidden correctly.
If I switch back to GPU Preview the shape is still being displayed.
I have to reboot Illustrator to get GPU Preview to work correctly again.
And then it goes wrong again very soon afterwards.

This has now happened several times.
I've also had shape fills showing as incorrect colors in GPU Preview, eg. a square with a white fill, suddenly started displaying as…

  14. Visual Bug

Updated to latest release of Illustrator, opened a PDF to encounter the bug shown in attached screenshot.

    Windows 10
    NVidia 980

Hasn't appeared in any other file.

Bug is related to text that appears missing at bottom of PDF (three lines worth is blank), and disappears when I zoom into 300%.

  15. Pixelated/low Anti Aliasing problem with curved paths

Not really a GPU bug since it also happens with GPU turned off. But as you can see on the attachment, whenever I draw a curved path in Illustrator it turns out very pixelated/low Anti Aliasing.

  16. Zoom to Selection Doesn't Work within Text

When I zoom in on Illustrator CC (21.1.0) it works great, zooming in on the object I have selected. The problem occurs when I have a bit of text within a larger textbox selected. When I zoom in, instead of centering around the object, it zooms in on the center of my screen, often putting the selected type out of sight.

(If I have the textbox itself selected, it's fine. It's just if I'm using the type tool to select and edit type.)

  17. Illustrator crash and spikes GPU (3080ti) requesting more VRAM than usual error code 6 with pid=263

    Hello,
Details of your operating system: Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22000
The version of Adobe Illustrator (desktop) : 26.5
I work with high-amount data content and AI keeps crashing randomly, on a stable high end station with 12900k, 32GB of RAM and a 3080ti.

    To reproduce the issue:

I work with these rather heavier files up to a point
the whole PC stalls and freezes, (inclusively desktop and any app), mouse can't be moved, no input can be taken.
After a few seconds or 1+ minute, i hear the sound stuttering (if i was playing music during the crash)
    then…

  18. Document grid with dots fails to render clean pixels. GPU/CPU rendering differs.

The dotted document grid renders differently between CPU and GPU modes. None of the alternatives renders perfect pixels in the selected grid color.

CPU renders vertically lighter smeared dots.
    GPU renders horizontally smeared dots.

    See attached screenshots.

This may relate to another bug report i've posted:

  19. Coordinates not showing in Overprint Preview

On Intel Macs running Monterey (Issue does not appear to happen on Apple Silicon Macs), with the GPU Performance turned off the coordinates do not show when dragging an anchor point. If GPU Performance is turned on it does work but only in Outline View.

    Steps to Reproduce
    1. Create blank file, have GPU Performance turned off
    2. Drag to create a new square object
    3. Turn GPU Performance on and change to Outline View
    4. Drag to create a new square object (Coordinates now show in Outline View)
    5. Change to Overprint Preview
    6. Drag to create a new…
