1. Have to sign in every time I launch Illustrator

   Every time I launch program, on the same computer, same day, even if only a short time has passed, I have to sign in with Adobe Cloud credentials. I've signed out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app and signed in. Still happens after first launch. Painful.

2. Slow opening of the first document!!!

   I don't know if it happens to others, an Illustrator on a Windows machine "I would say performing, quite a lot" but this problem happens to me I think at least from the CC2018 / 2019/2020 version.

   I start the software, open a new empty document, or open an existing document (even of small, insignificant dimensions) the document takes a long time to open (it is not immediate).
   If I open a second document it opens in the right time, then it works as it should.
   The same thing happens if I close Illustrator and restart it.

   But before it DID NOT HAPPEN with older versions of Ai.

   I don't know if it happens to others, an Illustrator on a Windows machine "I would say performing, quite a lot" but this problem happens to me I think at least from the CC2018 / 2019/2020 version.

3. AI 24 freezes on startup (Mac OS Catalina)

   Illustrator 24 (2020) will not launch on my MacBook Pro Retina.

   1. I'm running Catalina 10.15.1 and Illustrator 2020.
   2. The applications is installed and launched
   3. I expect the app to open
   4. It freezes upon startup

   I had the same issue with InDesign 2020 freezing up (causing me to have to Force Quit the stalled app), but Photoshop 2020 did not have any issues.

   I was able to get InDesign 2020 to launch by restarting in Safe Mode, then disabling the "Show Home screen when no documents are open" Preference, then restarting normally.

   The bug seem related to not being able to initialize the Home Screen properly.

   I have already gone through steps of trashing preferences, etc. according to Technical Support.

6. Unknown Error on AI 2020 Launch

   Mac Mini Late 2012
   OS Catalina 10.15.2 (19C57)
   Adobe Illustrator 2020

   Launching AI 2020 Generates pop-up message (see attached)
   Click Okay and blank UI loads (see attached)
   Quitting AI 2020 generates same message.

7. Artborads erased and layers grouped when opening a file, Illustrator 2020

   Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1), Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

   Whenever I close a file with multiple artboards and multiple layers, and re-open it, all artboards but one are erased (and renamed to "Artboad1"), and all my layers are grouped into one single layer.

   Even when I fix the file, and save it, the next time I open it, the same thing happens.

8. Shortcut Window doesn't auto close

   When opening Illustrator you are welcomed by the shortcut window showing previous files and most used file creation options etc.

   On Illustrator 24.0.3 and previous iterations when using the shortcut window the file opens as it should but you are left with a blank shortcut window open, which then needs to be closed. I have attached a screenshot.

9. In Legacy "File New" Interface can't change Name from Untitled-1

   On Illustrator CC 24.1.1 (64bit) on Windows 10 v1909 using the Legacy "File New" interface from the home screen on a fresh launch it is impossible to change the value of the file name. It shows as selected text, yet typing, reselecting, hitting delete and backspace all do nothing to change the text from "Untitled-1".

10. Illustrator v24 constantly crashes when I try to open a document

    The update for the Illustrator 2020 version uploaded and it never opens, it freezes up with a white screen and says not responding. Now my 2019 version is doing the same thing and tells me I don't have enough memory.
    I have tried to uninstall all CC apps and reinstall, I have also tried the CC cleaner, no luck.

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz
    2.5 GHz
    16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
    64-bit operating system

    I am also having similar issues on my Surface Pro 64-bit

    I am unable to work on current projects at work, I need help!

12. AI displays the START SCREEN on opening the file and the document view do not switches (refreshes) the file content.

    v 22.1

    When trying to open an existing file while Illustrator is closed, the software will lag and then hang on the opening screen. The file appears to be opened in the background, but there's no way to access or see it. The opening screen will give options to open additional files or create a new one (as usual) but when trying to do either, nothing will open and no New File Options menu will appear.

    Everything will work normally only if I open Illustrator first and then the file.

    This happens will every file I've tried, so this isn't an issue of corruption.

    What we have found out so far is that this issue can happen in multiple workflows. For clear tracking, validation and closure. We will closing this thread for given below two scenarios which we believe are fixed now:

    1)Double click any Ai file to launch Illustrator
    2)Placing files in Illustrator via Bridge.

    1. On opening a file in Illustrator the START SCREEN do not gets dismissed and the file’s content is not visible.
    2. While working on a file and opening a new one the document view sticks to the old file and do not switches to the new file artwork.

    Please remember to update graphic driver. We are also seeing cases where updating graphic card driver fixes the issue. You can update your driver via https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-gpu-performance-driver-update.html .

13. Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.1 2019 Not Responding when opening file & Slow on Start MACOS Mohave 10.14.1

Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.1 2019 / MACOS Mohave 10.14.1 2.1 Slow or Not Responding - Launch Adobe Illustrator - by clicking on icon in dock or in applications folder 2.2 If it launches - Click on Open from Dashboard and try to open a file - it becomes non-responsive or takes forever. 2.2.1 Tried opening ai files (any of them I have) directly- same issue 2.2.1 Tried to command copy and save to change location I have filed stored - it copies to new location, including adobe cloud, same issue 2.2.3 New files never show up in recent files on dash board or in file menu- only some very old ones. 2.2.4 Tried to change file name to see if that helps- does not 2.3 Tried to create a new file - takes a while, but on save of a file with a single line in it (save as ai) - again non-responsive, regardless of file location 2.4 tried to shut down computer, tried to uninstall and reinstall adobe cloud and illustrator, tried to run illustrator 2017. Nothing is working!
    2. Expected result - to be able to quickly launch application either from ai file or from applications/dock and then quickly and easily open, save, and and save as my work as I go.

    3. Taking 3 hours to just open a file and am still unsuccessful - opened the downsampled PDF and am going to try that. However, when I save - same issue if saved as ai file.

    4. Could not upload my illustrator file because .ai files are not allowed, uploaded screen shots of configurations and the PDF version of file.

    Interface is Not Responsive when launched
    I have 3 TB Hardrive iMAC with 32 GB RAM - I meet or exceed the requirements. Also this just started happening after last update 23.0.1.

    I am trying to open any ai file type folder. Although slow it seams to open PDF's.

    This happens again when I try to save as or newly save an untiled version.
    I tried to send an error report and that crashed as well.
    
    I have attached my computers configurations

14. Illustrator crashes when opening any file after Microsoft Cumulative update 2019-09 KB4517211

    Running Win10 Pro x64. Uninstalled and ReInstalled Cumulative update KB4517211. Problem goes away if uninstalled, and recurrs after re-installing Microsoft update. Have latest NVidia GPU drivers installed (problem occurred with prior version graphics drivers as well) and latest version of AI (23.1). Problem occurred prior to update to 23.1 today. Problem started after Microsoft Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1903 x64 and problem is resolved when uninstalling Cumulative update. Used Microsoft tool to HIDE updates to stop KB4517211 from re-installing.

15. When I enter and open an Ai file, it starts one more illustrator application.

    I am working on updated version of Adobe illustrator cc 24.0.1 (64 bit) ruining on windows 10 .

    If I have already opened my application and then hit enter on any AI or EPS file to open it, it launches another application of illustrator while the first one is also running . So, at a time two same applications run on my system.

    I want to open that file in same application.

16. After latest update, Illustrator opens and is half off-screen. It is frozen there and can't be moved or resized, and menus are often missing

    It would be great if the program would open and actually be usable. With half of the program off-screen, and being unable to move or resize it, I can't get my work done.

17. Illustrator 23.0.1 crashing almost immediately after launch

    I am running Mojave 10.14.2 (system screenshot attached). Every time I start Illustrator, it runs for 5-10 seconds and then crashes. There are no error messages; it just dies. The same thing happens with InDesign. Photoshop appears to run without issue.

    I have tried looking for updates in the CC app, but it says that the programs are all up to date.

    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, but the issue remains.

19. Can't open or create Illustrator files

    Illustrator CC 2019 won't open or create any .ai files since this morning.
    * Double clicking a file causes a crash
    * Opening a file through Menu > Open causes a crash
    * Creating a new file through Create new... causes a crash

    Illustrator asks me to send in a crash report, then closes.

    My system:
    Windows 10 Enterprise, 64 bit
    Version: 1903
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
    Installed RAM: 8GB (7.90GB usable)

20. Illustrator version 23.1 won't launch

    Illustrator version 23.1 will not launch after initial opening upon install. On Windows 10 64 bit. It also will not start in safe mode. I uninstalled that version and went back to 23.0.6 and it seems to works fine.
