    Hello,

    1. i7, 16gb ram, windows 10.
    2. when i open illustrator this happens. it doesn't work. I tried reinstalling. Still no succes.

  2. When I open Illustrator files the screen is filled with black and grey lines.

    I have been working on a project on illustrator and after a few days of working on it I open the file to see this screen filled with gray and black lines. None of the options on the top are visible and all the tools and properties windows are missing.

    Windows 10 Pro - Illustrator 24.1.2

    I tried opening the file from the illustrator menu, from file explorer and tried creating a new .ai file as well.

    I expected to resume working on my project.

    The screen was filled with black grey and white lines and I couldn't find any…

  4. new project presets not appearing

    I am starting a course to learn Adobe Illustrator. However, when I click on "create new" the dialogue box that opens only populates with Adobe Stock templates. No matter if I click print, web, or mobile there are no presets or options for me to change the project settings. Kind of hard to begin the course if I can't create a project with the specific setting for my assignments.

  5. SelectiveUnlock.aip error - Adobe Illustrator CC version 24.1.2, OS Windows 10 Home Edition Build 1909

    The File New/Open screen does not work.
    When clicking File>New opens a pop-up screen with title %CCXFNFTDIALOG_NAME with nothing inside.

    Can not create NEW file.

  6. In Legacy "File New" Interface can't change Name from Untitled-1

    On Illustrator CC 24.1.1 (64bit) on Windows 10 v1909 using the Legacy "File New" interface from the home screen on a fresh launch it is impossible to change the value of the file name. It shows as selected text, yet typing, reselecting, hitting delete and backspace all do nothing to change the text from "Untitled-1".

  7. Slow opening of the first document!!!

    I don't know if it happens to others, an Illustrator on a Windows machine "I would say performing, quite a lot" but this problem happens to me I think at least from the CC2018 / 2019/2020 version.

    I start the software, open a new empty document, or open an existing document (even of small, insignificant dimensions) the document takes a long time to open (it is not immediate).
    If I open a second document it opens in the right time, then it works as it should.
    The same thing happens if I close Illustrator and restart it.

  8. The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [>MIT]

    I get the error "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [>MIT]" and once I hit the ok button it closes down. I have uninstalled three times, wiped all preferences, restarted the computer. Nothing I am doing is working. Help! TIA

  9. Shortcut Window doesn't auto close

    When opening Illustrator you are welcomed by the shortcut window showing previous files and most used file creation options etc.

    On Illustrator 24.0.3 and previous iterations when using the shortcut window the file opens as it should but you are left with a blank shortcut window open, which then needs to be closed. I have attached a screenshot.

  10. Unknown Error on AI 2020 Launch

    Mac Mini Late 2012
    OS Catalina 10.15.2 (19C57)
    Adobe Illustrator 2020

    Launching AI 2020 Generates pop-up message (see attached)
    Click Okay and blank UI loads (see attached)
    Quitting AI 2020 generates same message.

  11. Artborads erased and layers grouped when opening a file, Illustrator 2020

    Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1), Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

    Whenever I close a file with multiple artboards and multiple layers, and re-open it, all artboards but one are erased (and renamed to "Artboad1"), and all my layers are grouped into one single layer.

    Even when I fix the file, and save it, the next time I open it, the same thing happens.

  14. When I enter and open an Ai file, it starts one more illustrator application.

    I am working on updated version of Adobe illustrator cc 24.0.1 (64 bit) ruining on windows 10 .

    If I have already opened my application and then hit enter on any AI or EPS file to open it, it launches another application of illustrator while the first one is also running . So, at a time two same applications run on my system.

    I want to open that file in same application.

  15. After latest update, Illustrator opens and is half off-screen. It is frozen there and can't be moved or resized, and menus are often missing

    It would be great if the program would open and actually be usable. With half of the program off-screen, and being unable to move or resize it, I can't get my work done.

  16. Illustrator v24 constantly crashes when I try to open a document

    The update for the Illustrator 2020 version uploaded and it never opens, it freezes up with a white screen and says not responding. Now my 2019 version is doing the same thing and tells me I don't have enough memory.
    I have tried to uninstall all CC apps and reinstall, I have also tried the CC cleaner, no luck.

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz
    2.5 GHz
    16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
    64-bit operating system

    I am also having similar issues on my Surface Pro 64-bit

    I am unable to work on current projects at work, I need help!

  17. A blank white popup window opens over a file when opening.

    Closing the window gets it out of the way & I can continue. It only happens the first time I launch AI and then open a file.

    I'm on a 2016 MacBook Pro running Catalina & Illustrator 24.0.

  18. AI 2020 (v24) fails to open - error loading plugins

    Illustrator 2020 (v24) crashes on launch. I am running it on an iMac running under OS 10.14.6.

    I attempted to open Illustrator by clicking the Open button within the Creative Cloud launch window and by double-clicking the AI app within the application folder. Both launches resulted in the following error being reported, then the application failed to open:

    Error loading plugins.
    SmartExport.aip
    SmartExportUI.aip

    Attached is a copy of the error report that I sent to Apple.

  19. AI 24 freezes on startup (Mac OS Catalina)

    Illustrator 24 (2020) will not launch on my MacBook Pro Retina.

    1. I'm running Catalina 10.15.1 and Illustrator 2020.
    2. The applications is installed and launched
    3. I expect the app to open
    4. It freezes upon startup

    I had the same issue with InDesign 2020 freezing up (causing me to have to Force Quit the stalled app), but Photoshop 2020 did not have any issues.

    I was able to get InDesign 2020 to launch by restarting in Safe Mode, then disabling the "Show Home screen when no documents are open" Preference, then restarting normally.

  20. Can't open or create Illustrator files

    Illustrator CC 2019 won't open or create any .ai files since this morning.
    * Double clicking a file causes a crash
    * Opening a file through Menu > Open causes a crash
    * Creating a new file through Create new... causes a crash

    Illustrator asks me to send in a crash report, then closes.

    My system:
    Windows 10 Enterprise, 64 bit
    Version: 1903
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
    Installed RAM: 8GB (7.90GB usable)
