1. Wrong appearance of Drop Shadow effect with text object (non-English characters).

   Wrong appearance of Drop Shadow effect with text object. It looks like effect use incorrect regional standards settings separate from the text itself causing the shadow looks like complete other characters .

   Also, if you turn off BLUR in DROP SHADOW, the shadow becomes normal. And this does not happen with all fonts.

2. Gaussian Blur preview is slow to calculate

   Gaussian Blur is just so difficult to use, and preview NEVER works.

   When it's activated, to make a change on the objects or font that it is applied to, requires that I always turn it off first and turn it back on later. There is always a long delay for it to appear. The Gaussian blur needs to be redesigned so it is as dynamic and powerful as the feature in Photoshop.

3. Fehler bei Bildern beim Ändern vom Dokumentfarbmodus RGB <=> CMYK (Bilder gehen kaput)

   System: Windows 11 Pro, Illustrator 29.8.1

   Ich habe folgendes Problem:
   Ab und zu erstelle ich ein Plakat in A3 im CMYK-Modus für den Druck und benötige das identische Layout zusätzlich für eine Stele im RGB-Modus. Bisher konnte ich die Layoutinhalte aus dem CMYK-Dokument einfach kopieren und in ein RGB-Dokument einfügen – das funktionierte problemlos. Seit einiger Zeit jedoch werden die verknüpften Bilder dabei zerstört:

   • teilweise werden sie komplett schwarz,
   • teilweise stark verfärbt,
   • teilweise nur in Fragmenten dargestellt.

   Manchmal passiert es auch, dass ein schwarzes Bild nach dem Bewegen des Illustrator-Fensters plötzlich wieder sichtbar wird.

   Das gleiche Verhalten tritt auf, wenn ich ein Bild aus einem CMYK-Dokument in ein RGB-Dokument einfüge. Wird ein schwarzes Bild über den Dateiexplorer neu verknüpft, erscheint es wieder korrekt.

   Zum Nachstellen bzw. Ursachenfindung habe ich ein RGB-Dokument erstellt und dort mehrere Bildvarianten platziert:
   - 1.RGB.jpg (Ausgangszustand, alle Bilder korrekt sichtbar)
   - 2.RGB-zu-CMYK.jpg (nach Umschalten des Dokumentmodus auf CMYK sind die RGB-Bilder zerstört)
   - 3.CMYK-zurueck-RGB.jpg (nach Rückstellen auf RGB sind die RGB-Bilder wieder korrekt, die CMYK-Bilder jedoch schwarz)

   Daraufhin habe ich die gleichen vier Bilder anstatt verknüpft eingebettet und mehrfach zwischen RGB und CMYK gewechselt – dabei traten keinerlei Probleme auf. Alle Bilder blieben stabil, ohne Schwarz oder Verfärbungen.

   Meine Vermutung: Illustrator verliert beim Umschalten des Dokumentfarbmodus den Bezug zu den verknüpften Dateien, was zu den beschriebenen Fehlern führt.

   Workaround: Bilder einbetten. Das funktioniert zuverlässig, vergrößert aber die Dateigröße erheblich (was bei meinen Layouts mit meist 6 verschiedenen Versionen pro Plakat sehr unpraktisch ist).

   Fragen:
   Haben andere Nutzer das gleiche Problem?
   Handelt es sich um einen bekannten Bug?
   Gibt es eine Lösung, ohne Bilder einbetten zu müssen?

8. Request for Improvement: Kerning Delay with Complex Background Data in Illustrator 2025

   I am experiencing performance issues with Adobe Illustrator 2025 (latest version) in the following environment:

   Environment: MacBook Pro 2024 (32GB RAM, SSD), macOS Sequoia
   File Setup: Approximately 30 artboards with the same complex background (vector data or high-resolution images)
   Issue: Kerning and text spacing adjustments result in a ~1-second delay per operation. Hiding the background does not resolve the issue, but removing it eliminates the delay.

   Attempted Solutions:
   Disabled Navigator panel and layer thumbnails
   Toggled GPU performance on/off

   Request: Please optimize performance to ensure smooth kerning operations even with multiple artboards and complex background data.

9. This file will not allow viewing in GPU mode on my computer. It works fine on other computers.

   Apple M2 Max Macbook Pro 16-inch, 2023 OS 15.6 (24G84)

   Using Illustrator 29.7.1

   Upon opening this file (attachement wouldn't work - please provide another way to transfer) I can not use GPU mode no matter what I do. I tried reinstalling all of Creative Cloud, and then completely wiped my computer and started fresh. The file is still glitchy. It seems to only happen on my computer. Colleagues do not have an issue with the file. Happy to provide the packaged file, just can't upload zip here.

10. App Lag when using Recolor

    I am working with Adobe Illustrator 29.7.1 on Windows.
    When using the Recolor dialog the app stops responding to any command or action I take outside from the artwork display.
    The app also doesn't inform me if there is a crash or that the app is not responding.

11. Linked transparency ignored in document color mode CMYK

    I've noticed that, at least as of Illustrator version 30.1, transparency in linked files is ignored while the document color mode is CMYK and the View Preview mode is GPU. It does not seem to matter if the original is in CMYK mode or not.

    To reproduce the issue, create two Illustrator documents. In the first, draw a few objects on the artboard, setting the transparency for a few of them to anything noticeably different, and save it as Test1.ai. On the second document, set the document color mode to RGB, set the View Preview mode to GPU, and place a linked file of Test1.ai. It should look normal, as designed. Now, change the document color mode to CMYK and notice how any transparency becomes ignored. However, the second document will export or print the design correctly. You just cannot Preview it correctly using the GPU.

    I tried to post the Illustrator files to test with. But, UserVoice crashes whenever I try it.

12. I can't Knockout in a clip mask

    After asking my friend, I found that this problem seems to only exist on Mac systems.

    [p1] Establish a clipping mask group, check Knockout;

    [p2] Drawing shapes within the clipping mask group reduces transparency, but does not have the knockout effect.

    [p3] But if I remove the clipping group and change it to a regular group, I can achieve knockout effect.

    [p4] But previewing in the navigator panel is normal, and Transparency Flattener is also normal.

    This is what I discovered while knockout in the combining group, which made me very distressed because if combining and knockout at the same time, it would be very convenient to achieve this kind of overlapping effect on a Windows computer, but I'm Mac😭

13. Extremelly laggy experience

    I have i9 14th gen CPU, 64 GB Corsair vengeance RAM , a 5090 RTX.. still my illustrator lags like crazy... It runs 10X smoother in my mac with M1 pro chip and 16GB RAM! This is soo annoying, I loose hours daily because of this lag...

15. Dimensions of newly created objects have numerous decimal places and don’t get adjusted afterwards

    1. After leaving the computer on for a week with software running in the background, when trying to draw a new rectangle, the dimensions will show numerous decimal places. Moreover, when attempting to adjust the dimensions afterward, the values will jump erratically.

    2. The background backup process of the software occupies main operational resources, resulting in lag.

16. Preview issues with Home recent files and Placed files not properly showing all artwork.

    Home recent files not populating with updated artwork previews. For example: I use a personal file template, make changes, save as new, and the new file does not populate an updated preview on the home screen. Second, when placing an AI file in another AI file some of the assets are missing in the place file and/or moved and distorted - even though when I open the original file everything looks fine.

17. The entire document fails due to the use of area text linked to different pages. Text is lost, the file freezes, won't save, or is stuck

    Mi computador es un MacBook Pro 2022 - Chip Apple M2 - MacOs Sequoia 15.5, pensaba que era un error del Mac por lo que formatee el computador y volví a instalar la suite de adobe, pero no, el error sigue, fue a partir de la actualización hecha después del sábado 28 de Junio. Desde allí el ilustrator presenta diferentes errores que detallaré a continuación:
    1. Para abrir un documento luego de haber trabajado en otro, se queda pensando diciendo que esta leyendo el documento y no lo abre, allí se bloquea y tengo que reiniciar el programa (adjunto pantallazo).
    2. Si logro que abra, genera errores con el texto de área, si está enlazado peor, si muevo el cuadro de área del texto me salta una alerta de error PRAM (adjunté captura). Y luego, desaparecen los puntos de movimiento del cuadro de área y ya no puedo editarlo para nada.
    3. Si quiero guardar el archivo, igualmente, se queda pensando, dice que lo hará en segundo plano pero no pasa nada, se queda ahí sin quitar el cuadro de guardado y si lo doy a la tecla ESC, deja de guardar y no permite guardar nada, ni exportar, ni nada.

    He probado con diferentes archivos y pasa igual.

    Esto me ha traído ya suficientes problemas a nivel laboral donde se usa Ilustrator para crear estos documentos.

    Por favor, ¿qué solución le pueden dar a esto? Está fallando demasiado.

18. Include SVG code is not working

    I used to be able to copy and paste from Illustrator into Figma without any issues. Then, vector icons started getting pasted as images. After contacting Figma support I was told I need to check the Include SVG code in the Settings - Slipboard handing panel. It worked for a few weeks and as of today it stopped working even though the box is checked.
