Resolve Blinking Power Issues Netgear
When the users of Netgear face an issue where the power LED is blinking, then the steps which they would have to undertake are as mentioned below:
• The users can turn off the Netgear router, most often this would solve the issue which the users are facing.
• Try restoring the Netgear router to its original configuration. To get this done, the users would have to keep pressing the reset button which is located at the back side of the router.

Exporting SVG using different methods provides different results
When exporting as an svg using the native "Export, export for screens" Adobe exports the svg as an svg 1.0.
Which isn't as commonly supported as svg 1.1
However, if a user opens that same svg in illustrator and bypasses the export as, and just does cmd + s, it becomes an svg 1.1
It would be useful to always have the same format rather than different ones. Preferably always save as svg 1.1

Thanks a lot for reaching out to the Illustrator team. As a matter of fact, the newer SVG2 specification does no longer use versions anymore.
The main reason is that all modern SVG import tools/browsers ignored the version number and just open with what ever is in the SVG file.
Due to the implementation behaviour and the spec change and to reduce file size, all export scenarios do no longer export with a “version” attribute. That does NOT mean that SVG files get interpreted as version 1.0! The exported features matter not the version number.
We will update the Save as (CMD+S) route in the future to follow the pattern of SVG export.

Return feature constraint proportion while holding shift;
I often wish Adobe employes used Illustrator themselves. I'd like them to experience having their preferences reset to default with even minor upgrades, spending an hour adjusting the shortcut keys to work like a mac, and now that I've had a chance to vent a little, the latest offense:
The ability to proportionally scale objects by holding shift while dragging is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to my workflow mixing photos and raster art into an illustration to the point I'm using Sketch more and more while wondering how this bug got out and I hope a fix is on the way soon.

Eyedropper tool not detecting gradient angle
Recreating the issue:
- Make a gradient color1 -> color2
- Turn gradient around with 180 degrees color2 <- color1
- Apply the gradient to a new object through eyedropper tool
- It will show the gradient without angle change (color1 -> color2)

Google Drive File Stream is corrupting AI CC 2019 files
To reproduce the issue…
- Open an AI file on my Google Drive Stream.
- Save the file
- Try to reopen file. Error message appears. "The file logo.ai is in an unknown format and cannot be opened"

Pressure option for brush is greyed out in AI while using Wacom Tablet
Adobe Illustrator CC 22.0.0
Ever since the new update, every time I'm trying to change my paintbrush to pressure sensitive option from the drop down list box, the 'pressure ' option is greyed out and can't be selected. 'Fixed' and 'random' are the only ones that aren't greyed out.
How can I set the pressure senstivity option on?
Please help.

Extremely slow "export for screens" and saving
I'm suffering a performance reduction in my workflow thanks to the latest update (23.0). I usually have at least five artboards per file project--sometimes up to 20. I used to export designs within 30 seconds and now it takes up to 5 minutes.
I haven't change anything in terms of hardware or workflow. My exports are slow no matter if the file goes to the server or to my hard drive. This is driving me crazy!

Zoom in/out bug
When holding down the magnifying glass shortcut and moving the mouse left/right to do a smooth zoom, it no longer behaves as before the recent update. It lags and makes the graphics super blurry. What did you guys change??

It is an intentional change to speed up zoom pan operation. Earlier we were rendering full fidelity at every frame – this was slowing down or wasting GPU power. So what happens after this change is we render full fidelity on mouse release.
The amount of blur depends on the amount of zoom. If you zoom too far the onscreen representation will be more blurry. I hope this answers.— Ashutosh

Extension EAN13 Maker
EAN13 maker window is not working as it should.
- Window is with sliders even as resolution is 2560*1440.
- Font settings is reset every time AI is reopened
- EAN file overrides units preference and is ALWAYS in Points
Very annoying and severly limits the use of a tool which could become extremely important in our workflow.

new .eps clipart will not open in Illustrator 7.0
Mac os 8.6 (still us it as my main vector creation program to create airbrush masks on plotter) and Illustrator 7.0.
I bought this alleged vector (eps) file of an anchor from some clipart etsy shop and got the canned "garbled, etc" message when attempting to open in illustrator 7.0. this has happened before. Have tried to place and all other possibilities. If anyone can open and confirm this is a real vector file, then save it for a version of illustrator my 7.0 can read, I'd really appreciate it.

AI 22.1 Open single page of multipage PDF now a 2-step process?
WHY, of WHY did you ***** this up? Formerly you could open a single page of a multipage PDF by simply clicking the arrows under the thumbnail. Once you found the page you want, you click open and there it is. Now, no matter what you do, the Pages Range is stuck on 1-1 (of xx). You now have to type in the number. PITA! Please fix this back to the old way.
8 votesWith the introduction of multipage PDF open it is not possible for us to tie the range field to the thumbnail previews. It is not possible for us to predict the user intent just based on previews he/she has seen. Here is one example user preview pages 1 to 3 and then decided to open pages 1-2.

can't open files with cloud & arrow symbol
I use MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6, I've recently noticed that when I try to open up older files (couple of years old) I get a cloud with a downwards facing arrow. I am unable to open these files though I can preview them. any ideas how I can open them please, thanks
1 voteThe downward cloud icon that you are referring to is a state when the file is present on the cloud but not present on your hard drive. Please download the file to your computer to access it.

No Properties panel available
I have the 22.0.1 version of Illustrator and I haven't been able to find the Properties panel anywhere. My OS is Win 7.
I got Illustrator just last week and there are no updates available for my installed version.I've looked for the panel in every workspace and checked the dropdown menu under "Window". There is no panel listed.
I've reviewed all of the Preferences settings and cannot see anything connected to the workspace options.Please help, I really would like this panel.

Cut master 3 not working after update
Illustrator just updated to CC2018 and now my cutmaster 3 plug-in is not working or in the file tab.
8 votesPlease contact plugin developer and get a plugin compatible with the CC 2018. You also have a choice to install previous release of Illustrator to ensure uninterrupted work till you procure CM plugin that is compatible with latest release.

Adobe Illustrator CC impossibly slow on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
We are running Mac OSX 10.12.6 on new iMac.
Is it too much to ask for enhanced performance for a robust iMac retina with 40gb of ram? What with the $600+ annual subscription fee and all... c'mon... Adobe Illustrator CC is lethargic. Just don't get it... where are the updates to enhance performance and improve compatibility with newer macs. This is a vector-based program.

I recently sent a PDF file generated from InDesign (CC2018) to a book manufacturer from which they were to make a brass die to stamp a binding, just as I have done for about twenty years. A proof was sent back to me in which the 1/2pt rules had thickened to about 3pts and some of the type had thickened, too. I complained and they sent me another proof, in which the rules were ok, but most of the type had thickened.
I wondered how this could have happened, so I did some experiments. I opened the PDF in Illustrator…
7 votesPDF is intended for Output and Document Sharing. In any workflow, if the content is to be modified without any data loss then the native file format should be used for editing. InDesign document or Illustrator document should be used to edit the content.

Artboards disappear and is replaced by guides for artboard when reopening an existing document
Using Illustrator Version 22.0.1 on PC. Also happens on my Imac at work as well.
This happens from time to time but does get somewhat annoying when it does.
When I open an existing document, the artboards are all gone except for one artboard and what is left instead are guides for where those artboards are meant to be, and a new layer has been created in the layers panel with the name 'Guide For Artboards'.
There isn't anything out of the ordinary I do when saving a file so I have no idea why it likes to do this…

Hi,
You need save files in Illustrator CS4 or higher version to preserve the artboards. If any file file is saved below that version all the artboards are converted into guides.

pathfinder panel missing
Hi,
I'm having an issue that I haven't been able to find an answer for after spending some time researching it.
I just downloaded Illustrator CC and I went into windows to turn on the pathfinder panel. It was an available option so I was able to turn it on, but no panel is displayed as per usual. Saving AI to EPS produces 2 EPS "clones"
Standard procedure in my Art Dept. is to save AI files as EPS when going to press. This includes outlining all fonts and embedding all images.
For at least the last several months, I've often found that when I save an AI file as an EPS, it creates two nearly identical EPS "clones"...meaning they have virtually the same file name but are slightly different in size. An example result for saving "file_name.ai" would be:
