Too small to use?
When scaling down a complex drawing especially one created by image trace it often says cannot complete the operation because it would make some objects too small to use. So how can i scale my group? Can you just disappear those objects? If they are too small to use they must be too small to see so make them go away. Or it could automatically select them so you have the option to delete them. It seems silly that i can't make something the size i need because a part of it is too small to use. I'm on mac…

Subtracted shapes get drawn with a skewed artifact covering them at the top
This is an odd issue that is kind of hard to explain.
Whenever I am using the Minus Front tool on some objects, the appearance doesn't end up quite right. For example, I subtracted these outlined text characters from a black background. The blue outlines show that they were subtracted correctly, but the white background showing through is cut off in the wrong spots?-

The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. CANT
Since the last update.. Every time I try to trace & make something. I get this error message "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. CANT" then the placed image I tried to trace disappears and only an empty selection box remains. If i do "undo" the image will return. How come I cannot trace anymore? What can I do to fix it?

Main selection tool not working right
The selection tool will select and move objects, but I cannot grab the corner and resize them. I have to use the direct selection tool and select any anchor points I want to move, even to do a simple re-size

CC 2019 version runs slow!
For some reason in this 2019 version of the program it chugs and is very slow to move around and work with my files, even if the files are not very large. I usually have to shut the program down and restart to correct the problem. Would like to know if anyone else is having this problem and if someone at Adobe could address this, thank you.

home screen keeps loading
When starting Illustrator after the splash screen the Home screen keeps loading. It never loads, even after hours. Your man from the support center couldnt fix it either. You may disable the home screen in the prefs but thats a workaround I dont prefer. I found deleting your temp in users/username/appdata/local/temp works but thats plain ******** if you ask me. Solution? Please?

crash after windows update
Every time since I installed the latest windows update (KB5407453, KB4509096) that I try to open or create a new file adobe illustrator crashes. The crash report is attached.
3 votesFrom the looks of it it seems to be crashing with GPU. Here is what I can suggest
1. TEST: Disable GPU from preference panel and then create a anew document to see if it still crashes
2. FIX: Update GPU driver – each manufacturer will have a different way to get and install drivers. some help here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-gpu-performance-driver-update.html3. O Adobe Illustrator está Travando e Fechando sozinho
O meu adobe Ilustrator, esta com erro de travamento. principalmente quando vai salvar um arquivo., le trava e fecha. Já não sei mais o que fazer. Esse problema começou depois da atualiazação.

Scaling object(s) is causing the associated bounding box to become a shape ('expanded object' appears on the screen after scaling).
Seems to be occurring repeatedly - updated/reinstalled Illustrator 2019, which had received it for a short period, but now it has re-emerged. Driving me mad! Seems to occur more with smart guides and holding the shift key.

Selection tool acting like Direct selection tool and vice versa
Selection tool does not select all points and will not move a group of objects correctly, (it acts like the Direct Selection tool, not selecting all points). And the Direct Selection tool selects ALL points of a group and moves them, which is what the Selection tool is supposed to do. They are working exactly opposite as they should. "Show Bounding box" does not resolve this issue. The Selection tool has also instantly changed format of text simply upon selection (indent & tracking). Using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, Illustrator CC 2019. This is a bad bug, please help.

Unstable CC 2019 in Mojave
Illustrator CC 2019 on OSX Mojave is completely unstable.
Ive been working on a few files today, Illustrator crashes within 3mins of working on a file and there is no recovery file, so basically I lose what I am working on. Im now saving every 30 sec anticipating a crash. At first I htought it was a font conflict, so I outlined all of hte fonts. Nope, still crashes. Next I will uninstall Illust CC19 and re-install.14 votesMojave is a supported operating system since Illustrator version 23.×.

Illustrator 2019 Crashes on startup
I've upgraded to the latest Illustrator (2019), but it crashes on startup. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but it still crashes. I've re-installed it with fresh preferences, e.g. not importing settings from the previous version and it still will not startup. The same thing is also happening to InCopy.??
Luckily I did not remove the previous version.
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it??
I'm running a MacPro (Late 2013), 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5, 32GB RAM, AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB, with macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

This is no a problem UserVoice forums can help to solve, unfortunately, for many reasons.
You have to contact support to deal with it, if this is still a case.

Blue horizontal lines
Is this normal? My imac is 3 days old and these blue horizontal lines show up in illustrator cc.

illustrator wont open file windows
I have searched the support site and user voice with no results.
When I attempt to drag an *.ai file from the explorer window to Illustrator, or when I double click the file, it does not open. When I double click the file, Illustrator opens or switches to the window, my cursor briefly shows the 'thinking' animation but nothing happens.
- There is no freeze or crash
- Restart of the application did not fix the issue.
- File>>Open is the only way I can open files
- This happens to all files whether created with CC 2019 or earlier versions

23.0.3 keyboard shortcuts stop working
after roughly 15 minutes of designing, my illustrator keyboard shortcuts no long work. When I select a shortcut (eg command z, or command s), I simply get a system error sound, but no action. This is true for ALL shortcuts
i am then forced to use the menu items, or restart illustrator to keep working normally.

Selection Tool - not showing box when shape is selected?
When I am using the Selection Tool, it doesn't show the box it did before round the selected shape. So I can't alter the shape.
It seems to be filled in green corners exactly like the direct selection tool.
I have closed Illustrator and opened it again.

CRASHING VERY OFTEN.
I am hard Illustrator user, for over 20 years. For my surprise, this October version crashes almost every day. I reinstalled the sofware in one Dell XPS 8700 Machine and in a brand new Samsung X40 Notebook. In both cases AI still crashing suddenly.
