  1. Artboard's anchor points not working as expected.

    Illustrator 25.4.1, Windows 10 Pro 21H1 build 19043.1110
I am trying to set the size of the artboard to the dimensions of certain elements in the drawing.
For this I would pick an anchor point of an artboard and align it with an anchorpoint of an object, smart guides and every necessary snap option is active.
However, the result is that the artboard is always off.
After trying for some time I found out that it's not the anchor point of the artboard that is aligned with the other anchor point, but the cursor. And the cursor is always a…

  2. Shift Constraint Conflict with Smart Guides

When I select and object and try to move it with [Shift] Held down to constraint it then it keeps snapping back to start position. I believe this is a conflict with smart guides. It has been like this for a few years now, it's super annoying can you fix it please. Thanks

  3. Fix inconsistent Smart Guides

Smart Guides say 'intersection' while snapping to a midpoint / origin.
Even when an intersection is near, the origin is favoured by the algoritm.

Best would be to configure Smart Guides priorities to the user's needs, or add 'Snap to intersections' in the View menu.

    Please repear the wrong  descriptions.

  4. Snap To Grid not aligns with grid

    AI version 24.2.1

    OS Catalina 10.15.5

When Snap to Grid is selected, the points that the pen and shape tools snap to are not on the grid. They are slightly off. It is impossible to get points exactly on the grid. I've attached a file that shows where points snap to. These shapes were drawn with Snap to Grid on.

  5. add anchor point at the exact middle of line with pen tool

so, I created a square, change the line brush with something else, and then cut the 4 corners with scissor tool. then, if I select the add anchor point tool, and click in the EXACT MIDDLE of the newly created line (which I cut from the square), it will not allow me to do so. It's just saying you only can add anchor point on the path line.

    please help me adobe...

  6. Offset pen tool

When I try to draw with the pen tool the point is a couple points offset from where I click with the cursor. I have the latest version of Illustrator on my MacBook Pro and it just started doing this while I was in the middle of a project. I've tried restarting Illustrator but that didn't fix anything.

  7. Snap to grid doesn't work at artboard edges

Snap to grid is ignored at artboard edges.
    See animation attached.

  8. Pressing keyboard arrows while 'Snap to grid' is on nudges art by two instead of one

I can't use keyboard arrows to move art around the document because AI almost every time moves art at 2mm instead of 1mm, which is set in preferences.

    1. Create document, e.g. A4, with units set as mm
    2. Set grid 10×10 — it's my mostly used grid, because I live in metric world
    3. Set 'Keyboard increment' to 1mm
    4. Enable 'Snap to grid'
    5. Draw custom-sized rectangle
    6. Press Up or Down several times and watch how coordinates change

    Expected:
Rectangle's Y should go like this:
    55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61...

    Actual result:
    Rectangle jumps like this:
    55, 57, 58, 61, 63,…

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

  9. Grid snapping don't work on an internal point

It's not really Smart Guides, take a path drawn freely. After activating the grid, if you want to align an internal point of the path to a point grid you can't. The magnetism applies only on a bounding box of the path, not on the point you show.
