Color Settings Auto Defaulting
When you open up a file in the new Illustrator 2019 it automatically defaults your document to have "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". You can change your color settings to what you want, in my case I use "North American General Purpose 2". But when you click into a different application, ex. Internet, Photoshop, anything; your file changes your color setting back to "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". This is extremely frustrating and annoying. Please fix.
We have a fix available and you should not have this issue if you have the following version of these Creative Cloud applications
Please update to:
- Illustrator (23.0.1)
- Photoshop (20.0.1)
- InDesign (14.0.1)
- Bridge (9.0.1)
Please refer below for an issue with recent version 25.2.1 – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/42892902-illustrator-v25-2-1-color-profile-keeps-changing-t
I have the same issue. I've synchronised with bridge, made my own profile pre-settings. Assigned new profiles etc but it always turns back to this "Emulate.. "
same problem in MacOS Mojave
I have the same issue on High Sierra. Please fix asap!
Same issue. Still on Sierra so not a Mojave issue. Colours won't stay synced on Bridge either. Super annoying.
This needs fixing ASAP, it's incredibly frustrating.
Annoying bug that causes wrong-coloured prints for my clients. Gotta fix that SOON!!!

This its really annoying. I really miss the times when you bought the software package and have it physically. The sofware not was launched until they check all or the majority of isues. Now with "the cloud" maybe you have improvements faster but you can face bugs like this. And this is a very BIG PROBLEM.
Need fix this problem ASAP!
REALLY ADOBE!!!! You post an update to Illustrator today and you DIDN'T FIX THIS!!!! WTF!!!????
happens in indesign and illustrator, no workaround works around. please fix immediatly i cannot work with cc19 due to that problem color management is essential for professionals.

I have changed my color settings in Illustrator to a custom color workspace. If I leave Illustrator idle for a while (not sure what actually triggers it), it automatically resets my color settings to "Emulate Illustrator 6.0"
This is really frustrating as I'm repeatedly changing my color settings to my custom settings.
I have changed my color settings in Adobe Bridge to synchronize them across all my Adobe apps, but the bug has persisted.

Same problem here, we need help, color options are essential for workflow in my job.
Removing ACEConfigCache2.lst as previously mentioned resolved the issue for me.
Uninstalling and reinstalling worked for me.
Same problem here. Illustrator is currently useless. Uploading files with the wrong profile will cost us huge amount of money. We should all claim money back from Adobe for at least this month.
It's extremely time zapping to be having to manually change every single illustrator file I open/create back to North American General Purpose 2. This 2019 update is terrible. We pay huge amounts of money for using these programs, sort out your bugs please!
I'm having the same issue. Bridge does not keep it's color settings, even when I quit all other Adobe apps and reset it to "North American General Purpose 2". It'll hold for a bit, then seemingly randomly resets itself back to "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". Very frustrating.
C'mon Adobe this needs to be fixed ASAP! This is having a detrimental effect on our productivity.
