Bounding box handles on lines disappeared - can't easily extend line without using Scale 'E'.
Hi Adobe!
Adobe Illustrator V23.0.1 running.on Mac OS 10.14
Centre handles on bounding boxes for straight (Horizontal / vertical) lines have disappeared.
It only seems to be on straight lines (Horizontal / vertical).
As an illustrator, losing this basic functionality is a huge loss. Having to select a different tool (Scale 'E'), then unselect to select a different object, then back to 'E', all just to extend a few lines, is a baffling workflow and slowing me down a huge amount.
Why have straight lines been treated any differently to shape objects or even diagonal lines? If anything it's more appropriate on straight lines to easily extend them.
I've had to take a photo with my phone because screen grab causes the bounding boxes to disappear...!?
Thanks
J

I'm using 23.0.6.
I don't even see the bounding box on lines created with the line tool. So the line tool is pretty useless at the moment.
If I use the pen tool to create a straight line (just two anchor points, at the start and end) I get a normal bounding box.
Fascinating how with every version of Illustrator, one bug is fixed and five new ones are added...
Guess I have to go back to CS6.

It is not limited to lines but happens to all objects which are too "thin" for Illustrator! That's a killer for Illustrators...

Same bug as https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/36014584-missing-center-handles-for-extending-lines
They will never fix it.It is not limited to lines. center handles dissapear always when objects get too "thin" for Illustrator. Absolutely a killer bug...
