Re-draw line in the pencil tool, like in desktop
In the desktop when you draw with the pencil over existing line it allow you to re-draw fro. That section on. I was really surprised this ability isn’t available in the first version- seems like a must for the iPad, and a big differentiator from procreate and raster tools

The pencil tool is not useable because desktop setup whereby the path is kept selected and can be edited has been abandoned. You are forced to mess about with anchor points etc

Once you create a vector shape with brush or pencil tool, you should be able to use your Apple Pencil to simply redraw that vector line. There is a tool in desktop that allows you to do that. It seems the quickest way to edit a line instead of having to drag vector points and curve handles.

Please add a Smooth Path tool similar to desktop. I’d like to use pencil or something similar and just draw over portions of path to redraw a path or smooth like desktop.

On the desktop, pencil lines can be adjusted by drawing over the top of them. iPad creates a new line. Could there be a deselect feature if a new line is required, because the redrawability function is useful.

It would be great to be able to directly edit a selected path with the pencil tool as it is on desktop

Absolutely agree with this, this functionality is found in affinity designer too (sculpt option). Having to manually adjust points and curves after drawing with the pencil tool feels like a step backwards.

Hi, I really miss that you can't sculpt paths with pencil, as you can do in the desktop version. It allows you to correct lines quickly, without moving or selecting points.
When you use Illustrator to illustrate freehand, it's a very useful tool.
I will probably don't use iPad version till we have this feature.
