Why are we still waiting for the ability to import brushes on the iPad app? When will this feature be finally available?

Please, this has been requested for so long that multiple other graphics programs for the iPad have already incorporated it and you are about to lose yet another graphic artist to a competitor. As a teacher I have to keep up with my student’s innovative thought process but Illustrator is proving to be an archaic dinosaur as user requests are ignored. Functionality for the user is key - why should I continue to pay a monthly subscription for a product that doesn’t evolve to meet user need? That is quickly losing functionality?

Is it possible to get a rough time frame for this development?
The app is useless for so many project without this function.

Please, for the love of everything holy, let us import vector brushes like you can in the desktop version (and was already a functional feature in sketch/draw). It's such a massively important feature for us illustrators and the fact it wasn't available at launch is mind boggling. Please make the vector brush editor actually useful while you're at it (line weight, pressure taper, dual brush, pattern, texture, etc). These aren't cutting edge features that are too powerful for an iPad; it's incredibly basic stuff that's the cornerstone of why people use digital drawing platforms in the first place.

Please make an option to save created brushes permanently to use for new documents too. Just spent hours to creating brushes and realized when i saved them and open a new document they are not there.
Please solve this issue!

Please add option to import brushes to illustrator this is such a shame you guys....

Finally got the ipad and can't believe there is no way to upload brushes. This is going to make a lot of us turn to programs like Affinity Designer that are far cheaper and more advanced in allowing the importing of vector brushes. Illustrator is my favorite program on the computer, but it's hard to believe they are so far behind on the app.

Tough to use this app for work without the import option. Bummer!

As everyone has already said, adding and saving brush settings is a MUST.

It is a little tricky finding where to name your new brush to save it but seems to work somewhat for calligraphic brushes.

I wish I could also save blob brushes. I keep having to redo them every time I open the document anew. (or did I miss something?)

Appreciate all of the great being done with brushes on iPad. Am hoping that pattern brushes can soon be included in an upcoming release. :)

Was so excited to find out that the brush tool was added, but it has some major bugs to work out - why even release it??? First of all, I can't save any brushes I make and use in a separate document; ie add it to a library within illustrator for iPad. Second, I can't import my existing brush files from my Illustrator for desktop, which, I have a lot. having to recreate all of them would be a major hassle. And last but most certainly not least...Why can't I apply my custom brushes to pen tool illustrations??? This makes no sense. Only being able to use the brush tool for brushes means that I can't make a straight line (like holding shift would on desktop) or apply it to pencil or pen drawings. So overall this tool is incredibly limiting, and shouldn't have even been released until it was finished.

We *need* to be able to import brushes, the preset ones have huge limitations. Good program, but I find myself using other ones almost solely because of this.

Import and custom brushes, it would take it to the next level!!!

Honestly i love the app on ipad. It’s incomplete with out being able to create custom brushes. Add this feature ASAP. Illustrator is incomplete without it.

Not being able to import brushes has really caused a problem. Please can this be changed.

It’s honestly sort of crazy you even released this product without this feature. Definitely needs to be added ASAP.
