AlexM, Lance, check out VectorFirstAid plugin by AstuteGraphics.
You can set a checkup there to clear all off-artboard art and run it in a several clicks.
VFA is incredibly powerful when it comes to this mundane operations.

This seems like a work that actions can handle... if only Next/Previous Artboard commands could be recorded. So, alas, only scripts or plugins.

Josh, just tried, and was able to drag and drop the swatch from the opened Swatches panel to the Gradient panel behind it, just hovering the dragged swatch at the caption to let the other panel to open.
    Does it work for you?

It''s all Bridge’s fault (I suspect). Before it Windows showed all previews just fine.
Christo, Ardfry PSD Codec will help you. It works 98% of all cases.

Ah, Mark, that is very kind of you :)
And I can’t but agree with it :D

There any many users here like me here, who try to help AI to get better (or just suffer and want it to be fixed), and some do their part at the Adobe forums and in various communities. You are one of us, so thank you for the heads up. Let’s hope that UV will make a change.

No, Mark, it is not. It’s a side-efect of this, and the team is aware of it and searches for the solution.
It’s all about the resolution and assumption that 1 inch has 72points in it, the legacy resolution Ai has no ways to customize. This leads to 100% on print displayed wrong, so an option was made to make it look right... which breaks pixel preview. At least you are aware now :(

Yeah, it does. Try to disable 'Display Print Size at 100% Zoom' in Preferences as a workaround. Does it fix that?

Now I get it, thank you for the explanation.
Can I think of it as an 'automation relinking problem'? So that Ai would be able to auto-relink files by their name in a selected folder (which it now can’t do, unlike InDesign).
There is an existing request for this, although it does not state that specific reason for links to loose their paths.

Jeff, can you give a bit more details on this?
Why do you want to have this conversion? Why only this? Is there a practical difference? I’m afraid I never had issues with protocols.

Chris, to investigate this the team has to have the original file you export your images from, a screenshot of you settings used for export, copies of your files exported, and a screenshot of how they look imported in Æ.

Please email this to sharewithai@adobe.com or share them here if they are OK to be shared publicly.

Can you share the file and the video of how it works for you?
If the information is private, please email them at sharewithai@adobe.com
Without the steps to reproduce the issue and the file there are literally no chances to catch the issue.

Something was probably lost in translation...
You can’t delete default swatches, create new ones, and save color groups into a library, right?

Can you please demonstrate it in a video?

While the infamous bug with 'forgetting scripts in actions' had been fixed, the fact we still have to wrap a script into an action is frustrating... Photoshop allows to assign a hotkey to any script within the default location (thus displayed in the menu).

Yep, having Paste Remembers Layers option in Illustrator in Layers panel’s menu does not help to keep the copied structure.

Mark, I completely forgot to say there is a plugin now to do quite the thing you proposed, FindReplace Art from AstuteGraphics plugin pack. A commercial one, extremely handy in complex searches.
Please try it, if you never did.

Grouping selecting routines in palette — this is fresh. I personally have a lot of F-keys attached to 'Select same' commands. I used to juggle these to get what I want, locking and hiding art I don't need. It looks like this: I won't need text, select all text and lock, then I won't need whites, select bu fill, lock, then all reds, same fill, lock, then unlock all, select inverse, lock, have whites, text and red unlocked... and so on. When you have only these tools, I quickly learn how to select what you want, but some smart selection base on appearance would be nice too. Corel Draw have more powerful search engine, but it's SO slow in preparation! dozen of dialogue windows, not interactive and frightening.
Saving selection in AI is possible, but mostly unusable and hardly manageable. At least Layers could have tags to show which object in which selection. Or there could be a list of selection sets with list of objects.
