Animated zoom works only in GPU rendering mode and won’t work in specialized modes like Pixel or Overprint Preview — they still rely on CPU calculations.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Michael, Animated zoom doesn't work for Pixel Preview mode. It works (I hope for now only) only for GPU preview mode. Try to turn Pixel Preview off, make sure you have GPU Preview (not CPU) on, and try again.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emile, RJ's Open Offset is flawed and gives errors on complex paths. If you know nothing about AstuteGraphics and their plugins — I envy you a bit :) They have more refined Open Offset and many more. Subscription based but this is worth every coin. Other plugins by other devs are more specific. On AG's site there is a special page that has a good list.
An error occurred while saving the comment Emile, I hope Adobe won't buy his toolset or AstuteGraphics', or any other 3rd party developers :) They keep Ai afloat.
Yes, buy them for yourself, they are awesome! Some of other tools are a bit obsolete now, but they were irreplaceble back then.An error occurred while saving the comment Wait for the AxoTool plugin imminent release by RJGraffix. It'll basically cover up everything you could need for axonometry (excluding grids).
An error occurred while saving the comment Please also consider adding isometric grids

An error occurred while saving the comment Try Hammerspoon for hotkey remapping instead. Like these fellows do:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43383348/remap-apostrophe-to-other-keys-using-hammerspoon
And I reported this problem further, may be it will finally get noticed. An error occurred while saving the comment Hélène, yes, I remember this problem now! I could have guessed you are from France, sorry.
Indeed this key should be assignable then. Voted.
Meanwhile, if you are on Windows, you can try to use Autohotkey to reassign it to nay other key. This requires some effort, but the community is friendly enough to help and there are a lot of examples. Once you are in, you would have so many possibilities. An error occurred while saving the comment You can still do it now by holding ~ key

An error occurred while saving the comment If you decide to copy an object and start holding Alt, the original; won't show up until you move your cursor further. I believe Ai should redraw the original art the moment you press Alt while holding mouse button (or pen) down.
An error occurred while saving the comment When you drag an art with RTDaE mode on and you have a key object set — the fat bold edge stays in place while you drag it
An error occurred while saving the comment I like that you ask these, but I afraid this can be lost in the list.
1. Please add option to display edges with it. Right now we can have appearance displayed OR edges, and not both.
2. Please give third party developers a way to use this feature.
3. I understand the limitation, but CPU rendering would be awesome too — mostly because of 'grid in front' emulation with Overprint preview.
4. Pattern dragging (with ~ key held) works wrong with R-TDaE
5. Artistic brushes don't get displayed when you draw with them (but updated fine when you edit path with brush applied after drawing)
That's from the top of my head. I hope other users will add more. -

In CC 2019 (latest update 23.0.1), at 100% Zoom 1inch artwork would display at 1inch in physical (Print) size, on any display. If this doesn’t work right for screen design workflows, please use the checkbox Preferences > General > Display Print Size at 100% Zoom, to turn off the feature. Currently this feature works only on primary display, and there are plans of extending this to other attached displays.
An error occurred while saving the comment Print size should influence only documents designed for print!
Now, if you create 100×100px rectangle, using Web profile, you'll have something like 136×136px actual size (screenshot it and measure in PS).
Of course you can enable Pixel Preview to see it in true 100%, or disable the Print Size, but this is just wrong. An error occurred while saving the comment There's a script which does exactly this. You can insert it in the action and assign to an F-key.

An error occurred while saving the comment Just wait for it. Cloud Docs is here soon, and collab could appear later. But not tomorrow.

An error occurred while saving the comment It doesn't to do it for me.
What it does instead is always selecting the topmost layer instead the one I had when saved the document. Fix this! -

We have passed this request along to Grammarly and that while Grammarly thought it would be useful, they’re unable to prioritize it at this time.

An error occurred while saving the comment This is strange. I'm not getting how a yellow circles 'inverts' the cyan one to a green. Green here is a result of multiplying yellow and green (if RGB). Inverted cyan (0-255-255) is red. Yellow — dark blue.
Difference is what you need:
https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/103136/how-to-invert-text-color-with-respect-to-background-in-illustrator
To make in not brown make sure you don't use the CMYK color space, because blending math works a bit differently in CMYK. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I don't believe this can be done, sorry. Too rare task, too large investment into such a tool.

An error occurred while saving the comment Darpan, I'm sorry I can't easily check it myself, but do you have Paragraph Direction in Window > Type > Paragraph dedicated panel, not in the Properties one?

This was a bug in previous version but in latest release it is fixed. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Just stumbled on it, 2 years after, but I want to report still: in 24.1.3 — can't reproduce.
I do get it selected if the center gets inside of the marquee, but it's irrelevant here.
But I'm sure I had it too once or twice back then. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tricia, Ai has a known bug that leads to not selecting behind when you click close enough to an edge or the center of the shape. Is it the case? Try again and check if it works when you Ctrl+click in the fill and not near edge, please? I wonder if it's the same bug I reported or a new one.
An error occurred while saving the comment You should enable it first in Preferences. Did you do that? If yes, then it's a bug

An error occurred while saving the comment Sorry, I don't get it.
100% Normal if glyphs are selected and same 100% when the line is selected?
What bothers you then?
And if this is just a typo, note that glyphs can have their own transparency set, like any other group in Ai: like if you group two semitransparent things, the group itself will have 100% opacity. -

An error occurred while saving the comment You wouldn't need this workaround if you have read the manual :)
Alt+click on the style icon will add it to the existing appearance (but the link to the style will be broken, because one item can only have one style applied).
No problem, Michael! If only every Ai's problem could be solved like that, with me answering in the comments! :D
