76 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.2 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.
While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.
Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

Either way, I don’t understand the benefit to the user of placing a linked object when it results in the behavior of multiple unintended clipping masks, etc.
An error occurred while saving the comment For some time now, saving an object or group to CC libraries and then placed back into a document ends up with not one, but two layers of clipping masks. If I save an ungrouped single path to a library it comes back in grouped with these clipping masks – the workaround is to "place copy" of the graphic which avoids this behavior. But I can't imagine what the desired result of placing the original with clipping masks would be. I've had this issue through multiple versions, and the same behavior repeats on the current Ipad beta, since you don't appear to have the choice to place a copy of the library graphic, just the 'clipped' original. Not sure why placing the original graphic from CC Libraries results in these double clipping masks.

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm currently experiencing anomalies with my trackpad in Illustrator CC2022 on iMac with OS Monterey. At times pinch/zoom produces no result and then goes away. I've also experienced the issue of the cursor not deselecting objects when you move the cursor. Both are very intermittent, and then it goes away, repeat.

Ai allows to use Halftone effects via Effect -> Pixelate -> Color halftone.
What specific cases are not solvable through the use of this?

An error occurred while saving the comment It seems that on some level Z depth, or some approximation of it would be involved in more precision for drop shadow, lighting and other effects, perhaps on new features being explored as well. How will 3D objected in a group translate into After Effects, other 3D programs? How can 3D art in Illustrator be preserved as vector, if the user wishes to preserve it?
