    Hi Sarah,

I think you should update to the latest release of Illustrator. Few new features have been added which can resolve your issue. Particularly properties panel.

    Hi Nigel,

Thanks for your input. I tried this scenario at my end but couldn't reproduce it. Can you please send across the screen shot of the values you gave in the stroke menu.

    Hi,

It seems like opacity is applied on the Layer and not on the object inside that layer. It is possible that the user is selecting object inside the layer and not the layer itself. Hence the user is able to see the opacity of object which is 100% in this case and not the changed opacity of layer.

    Hi,

It seems that you are selecting the wrong layer element while changing the opacity.
May be you are reducing the opacity of the object which is in the sub layer in the layers panel and then you are finding it to be 100% in the parent layer.
Make sure you are on the correct layer by selecting it in the layers panel.

    Regards,
    Ritika

    Hi Yamashita,

Thanks for bringing this issue to our notice. Can I know if this issue persists only for this Pattern swatch or there are others? Your input will help us find the root cause.
