    Hi Everyone,

The fix has been rolled out and is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

    What’s new in 24.1: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback.

When you copy paste to Photoshop, the issue STILL occurs. Is this a Photoshop or Illustrator issue?

I need to point out that this bug ONLY happens when you use a clipping mask in the layers panel and not through right click → make clipping mask, object → clipping mask → make clipping mask or draw inside.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create two shapes on top of each other and select both.
    2. Go to the layers panel and click Make/Release Clipping Mask.
    3. Click Export As...

    Actual Result:
Clipping mask is not shown on the exported image.

    Expected result:
Clipping mask to be shown on the exported image.

The same happens when you copy from Illustrator to Photoshop. Super annoying!

This issue is probably happening because the artboard dimensions are not appropriate for raster export (i.e. are in decimals).
If you make x and y values as the whole numbers in the transform panel (not in decimal), then the extra pixels will not be added to the exported image.

That is the workaround, and it’s reported that it’s not always the case.

At the same time — Ai knows the size of artboards to be exported and yet it does not deliver the set sizes, which is not fair. The team is going to rethink the algorithm.

We need a fix to this. Option to align to whole XY coordinates or just make it pixel perfect anyway.

Many times when exporting an image file, Illustrator creates a blurry line near the edge of the image, even if the design extends all the way to the edge. Sometimes an extra pixel is added to the exported file. This is because the artboard is not set to a whole number intersection (XY coordinates having decimals). You can re-align your artboard to a whole number intersection to avoid this, but it can take a very long time to do manually when you work with multiple artboards. A solution would be an option for snapping the artboard to whole XY number intersections. This will ensure perfect pixel exports and you don't have to worry about it anymore. To me this is more of a bug than a feature request. Exports should ALWAYS be pixel perfect!

The problem is that there is no option to snap to whole pixels in XY coordinates. This can make it add an extra pixel when exporting. Please fix.

Even Apple has this now as a basic feature in iOS where you can copy text from images. This should be in illustrator already.

Hi Egor. Not sure what you mean with "there is no clear way to do that"? You already have blank document presents like A4, Poster etc. Why can't you just add common social media templates as well?

Another thing, the saved tab makes no sense because when I create a custom template and save it, it does not appear in the saved tab.

We need our custom templates to appear when we want to create a new document.

    Egor Chistyakov:

The option missing is an input for angle. Right now you have to do it manually and there is also no way to hold down shift to lock it at 45 degrees.

This is very much needed! It would also be very nice if the circle can be changed to an oval shape aswell.

NEEDED! It would also be nice the circle can be changed to an oval shape, similar to how you make a radial gradient oval.

It's crazy how this doesn't exist in Illustrator!
