The Links panel now has a Delete button in the latest Beta (28.1.0.87).
Please check and try if it works for you as expected.
You can access Beta in the Beta section of your CCD app.

It is not as straightforward as it may sound :) We have been working to take advantage of threads and other hardware such as GPU/Video RAM in places where it can make a higher impact. We are prioritizing areas that are slow instead of making a generic change and destabilizing the product. Product stability is the top priority for us and we have been consistently trying to improve it. We want to move with caution and make changes without compromising on the quality. Hope this helps.

An error occurred while saving the comment Effects still load in the background in outline view. It doesn't make any sense for them to load as I'm in outline view and can't see the applied effects anyway. Effects should be turned off in outline view, right?

Just watched your video. I don't have that issue at all. Are you using a tablet and a pen? That might be the issue. My last Wacom Intuos had lots of issues and I had to return it.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

The problem is that effects are ON i outline mode, you just can't see them. I have no idea why. If you have an objects with let's say a heavy gaussian blur to it and you ty to scale it in outline mode, the effect is still loading even if you can't see it. It doesn't make any sense.
