JPEG画像ファイルのクリッピングパスが配置で機能する（ように要望します）JPEGファイルはクリッピングパスを含めることができます。このクリッピングパスは、InDesignに配置するとうまく機能します。しかし、Illustratorはこのクリッピングパスを無視します。
JPEGのクリッピングパスが配置の際に機能すれば、ユーザーはもっとクリエイティブになれるはずです。

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.0.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Illustrator 2021 v25.4.6
macOS Mojave 10.14.6In v25.4.6, a plugin loading error (DxfDwgFileFormat.aip) occurs on startup.
This occurs only on macOS Mojave.
It does not occur in v25.4.5. Probably a bug in v25.4.6.
Note that the system requirements for v25 are from macOS Mojave 10.14 to macOS Big Sur 11.v25.4.6 では、起動時にプラグインの読み込みエラー (DxfDwgFileFormat.aip) が発生します。
macOS Mojave のみで発生します。
v25.4.5では発生しません。おそらくv25.4.6のバグと思われます。
なお、v25のシステム要件は、macOS Mojave 10.14からmacOS Big Sur 11までです。 -

Reproduction Procedure
1) Create a new document in Illustrator 2022 v26.3 or later.
2) Type "ご丁寧" in Point Text.
3) Set the font to Kozuka Mincho. Font size is about 80pt.
4) Set the kerning in the Character Panel to Optical.再現手順
1. Illustrator 2022 v26.3 以降で新規ドキュメントを作成する。
2. ポイントテキストで「ご丁寧」と入力する。
3. フォントを小塚明朝にする。文字サイズは80ptくらい。
4. 文字パネルのカーニングをオプティカルに設定する。monokano

It is reported the problem still happens on Macs, but is probably never happens on Windows.
To trigger the change, one can just the Preview mode.

It turns out the problem is fixed only partially in 26.3.1, only for some users, and the performance remains slow when grid is rendered with lines or dots in Outline mode. This applies to zooming, panning and ghosting of objects being moved.
Please help the team by providing your specs and answers to these questions:
1. Does it work fine with grid as dots in Preivew / Outline mode?
2. Does it differ from grid as lines in these modes?
3. What is slow for you exactly? How severe?
4. Is there a difference if you disable 'Grids In Back' option?
5. What are you lines/subdivisions settings?
And any other related feedback is appreciated. Let's track it down and get this really fixed.

The default for the grid in the preferences is 72pt, but the more detailed the settings, the slower it runs, and it seems to hang at 2pt.

みなさま、大変お待たせいたしました。
Illustrator 2021（ver.25.3.1）で発生していた、Photoshop（v21.2.9 や v22.2 など）の日本語名のクリッピングパスでの不具合がないバージョンの PSD ファイルでも、日本語名のクリッピングパスが認識されない問題の修正が完了し、Illustrator 2021（ver.25.4.1）をリリースいたしました。
Creative Cloud デスクトップアプリケーションから、製品版のアップデートが可能となっておりますので、お確かめください。
もし、Illustrator 2021（ver.25.2.3）と同じ結果が得られないような場合は、コメントをお願いいたします。
今後ともよろしくお願いいたします。

Photoshop 2021 が ver.22.5 にアップデートされ、日本語パス名の文字化け問題が修正されました。

Mac版Photoshopで文字化けしたクリッピングパス名が、Illustrator v25.2.3以降で、
・Mac版は認識する
・Win版は認識しない
このような不具合を残しているようです。「Win版Illustrator2021,2022でパス名が文字化けしたクリッピングパスを反映しない」

旧バージョンのインストールは、Time Machineを使わずとも、Adobeの標準機能でできます。
添付の画像ファイルを見てください。Illustrator v25.3.1の右にある「開く」ボタンのさらに右の「…」をクリックすると、メニューが表示されます。メニューから「他のバージョン」を選択します。そうすると過去バージョンのリストが表示されます。そこからインストールが可能です。今なら直前のv25.2.3を選ぶとよいでしょう。

Illustratorの問題は、正常に保存されたクリッピングパス名であっても認識されないのが問題となっています。したがって、この2つは別々の異なる問題であると切り離して認識した方が良いでしょう。

【対処方法】
クリッピングパスのパス名を欧文英数字のみに変更すれば、クリッピングパスが反映されるようになります。今回の不具合の発生条件は、パス名に日本語（欧文英数字以外）が使われていることです。ですから、欧文英数字のみに変更することで対処できます。

このUserVoiceへの投稿、感謝いたします。任意ハイフンは欧文組版用の文字で、これが常にハイフン表示されてしまうのはかなり深刻な不具合です。いずれ直るはずです。直らないとやばい。

欧文フォントでも発生しますね。
欧文フォントで任意ハイフンが一律にグリフ表示されてしまうのはかなりマズイです。欧米圏からフィードバックされていないのでしょうか？ もしかして日本語版Illustrator固有の現象？任意ハイフンの理想的な実装は、文字パネルの言語に依存するというものです。言語が日本語なら任意ハイフンは無効で常にゼロ幅のまま。しかし言語：日本語は文字／段落スタイルでしか設定できない謎仕様の壁があって、現状このあたりは混沌としてしまいますねぇ。
追記：
代替Unicodeのハイフンではなく、フォントのcmapでU+00ADにマッピングされているグリフがそのまま表示されているのだと思います。
This "average of coordinates" is an archaic Illustrator specification that remains. There is no reason to use this specification nowadays.
この「座標の平均」は、古めかしいIllustratorの仕様として残っているものです。今となってはこの仕様を使う理由はありません。
