Consider that other software like Corel Draw, Affinity Design, the good old freehand this thing works much better, even free software inkscape works better.
Beyond "align to point" you should also make align, and intercept alone the curvature of the vectors, as "hook to object" of freehand. If external plug-ins like those of the Institute or other external scripts are able to implement these functions, to the great I would say, I wonder why mom never ADOBE can not? Do not you want to do it? can not do it? where is the problem? or does not want to rage against Astute ??
it is shameful for a software leader in the field as Illustrator that boasts 30 years, in my opinion NOT honored service that piti of many gaps like this and also slowdowns and a lot of machineness in working. Freehand was very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very well. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Improving the performance, the Zoom (never enough), the precision of the snap, snap to curves and paths, to be a vector drawing software is rather inaccurate.
Couldn't we add all the vector parts to INDESIGN and throw Illustrator? We will eliminate steps and awkward software like AI.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.1.2 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

An error occurred while saving the comment since this function is under revision, I would like to add some things:
1. as in the photo, is it possible with a modifier key to be able to move the adjacent handle mirror-like ??
es. pulling the right handle of the circle I modify the right part of the curve, if I wanted to replicate the same movement of the left handle (creating the same mirror shape) it would not be possible, or at least with a long process ...
making the left handle move specularly to the movement of the right one I would get the mirror copy in one step ...2. often with the mouse I can't take the handle (even with the big dots) could you improve this thing?
3. Is it possible to make sure that the beizier movement handles also engage as they are attached to the guides?
to create two handles of equal size I must first put a guide and then hook the handles to the guide ... -

An Ai file should be able to be integrated and modified within InDesign (at least for simple paths) ...
How to be able from a PDF (created by ID) to open it in INDESIGN modifying it as if it were a native file ...
likewise on Ai.I think Adobe should take some inspiration from Affinity what do you say?

We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

An error occurred while saving the comment Illustrator has always had the problem of intercepting and making a "STRONG SNAP" by hooking "PRECISELY" to the GUIDES, GRIDS, POINTS, TRACKS.
Sorry if I think that a vector drawing software must be precise (I don't say how much a CAD but very close)!
Sometimes I find it difficult to hook paths on paths, paths that intercept the curve and adapt "PERFECTLY" to it, (curve without predetermined points).From my experience, in this thing, I remember that the good old FREEHAND MX worked better, much better (I made precise drawings of it !!), there is a plug-in of the astute who does this thing with Ai tracks and lo does very well, the Affinity Designer Competition works better in this SNAP thing and the accuracy proof is also given by a much "MUCH" higher number of ZOOM levels without sacrificing the Processone slowly, Idem when you have effects applied it goes fast and precise, Affinity also takes advantage of 64-bit Multicore processors.
I wonder, I ask you:
But if Illustrator has 30 years of experience, it should be the best in this field, how come "PECCA" on these "BASIC" things ??I don't know, see what you can do ... (I hope I opened your mind)

We have released the support for Gradient swatches in CC library with our latest release - v29.3
You can select the gradient swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.
Please update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.
