Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

Most probably it happens because of the Align to Pixel Grid option switched on, as per comments. Try to disable it and see if it changes anything.

So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.
While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.
Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.0.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

With 27.0.0, they acknowledged the error. So what if I don't want to wait?
It is necessary to insist that it be done immediately.
I think Adobe can do it this second if they want.
Please go a little beyond your rules. This is a big problem. An error occurred while saving the comment Enisio commentedEgor,
I used a method like this. (Sounds crazy, of course).
0- At first, I shot GDI 4000.
1- My virtual memory
Initial size (MB): 8192 (that's it for my ram)
Maximum size (MB): 16384
2- I opened 525 new files in AI by following the task manager GDI. Yes exactly 525 files :))
The result reached GDI 11.525 and there were no crashes or menus malfunctions. But I can say that it has become very heavy.
I have no idea what this means. An error occurred while saving the comment Enisio commentedEgor,
Although I made GDI 65000, when illustrator found 10000 in Task manager, AI was broken again.
The problem may be GDI, but I have come to the conclusion that it is not from windows 10. The only problem is AI 26.5.0.223 as usual.Enisio supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Enisio commentedFrankly, I don't care who comes up with a solution. I don't know how this forum works and I don't care. I don't think this forum is fun. They should follow all kinds of problems here. Of course I will post it here. As if there is any other alternative.
Back to the topic: I can't say that I completely agree with you. But errors in this forum etc. We almost never see the final versions after the . We are always in a beta-like state. As a matter of fact, all the questions asked in the forum, I think that AI did not come out of beta, and it is these questions and requests that make illustrator an illustrator. Otherwise, I do not believe that illustrator has developed itself anymore. (For example, the fact that History Palette was in PS for years and not put it in AI strengthens my theory).
I can say that we are kind of thousands of beta users, and I can't get over the thought that there will never be final versions.Thx Egor
